Western-Style Tilley Hat

I bought this hat to take on an upcoming beach vacation. I've taken if for a few trial runs while biking, walking outside, and shopping. I really like it. I've never been a huge fan of hats because they generally wreck my hair and then I'm either committed to wear the hat all day, or I have unsightly 'hat head' and have to re-do my 'do. However, of the three times I've worn the hat so far, twice my hair came through it quite well. The other time was a more extended wearing and I did have to re-style upon removing the hat. However, the hat is pretty stylin' and I'm enjoying it.

I'm very pleased with my Tilly Hat. Although I haven't travelled with it yet,I can tell by the feeling of comfort and style I get from wearing --it's the right hat for me.So much better than those peaked baseball type caps one usually wears.Even though it's winter time here in Queensland Australia,it's still sunny,and I've worn the Tilly most days. And as we have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world,it's going to provide me with good protection.I can see myself travelling to all those exotic tropical climates I usually travel to,and my Tilly hat will be with me.

For the first time--a hat that I don't hate. It fits, it's comfortable, it does not blow away in high winds, it shades my face from the intense NM sun-- and it looks decent. Have not yet worn it when it gets hot outside, but if the vented top cools as it promises, I will be thrilled. Also have not yet washed it, but if it washes as promised, this hat is a real winner.

Tilley makes a great product. Can't go wrong.

You can shape it, you can crush it, you can throw it anywhere. I love it!
