battery problems

When the batteries are working, the data shown are fun,. But this device depletes batteries very fast. It takes 3 batteries, one of which was very difficult to find and expensive when I did. Because the buttons are not protected, the buttons often get pushed when the device is in the bottom of my pack or something is put on top of it. Then the batteries get drained and the device is blank when I want to see it. This device is too delicate for general use. I wish I could figure out a shield for it because the concept is great.

I like having a lot of different options in one device. Convient for travel and everyday keeping track of time, date, temperature, possible weather conditions. Too bad, it doesn't have an alarm function included.

The quality was poor and did not measure up to the standard I expect from Magellan. I sent it back for a refund. The battery could not be changed because of the poor manufacturing. There was absolutely no quality control to make sure that the key chain worked. It arrived broken and could not be fixed. A true piece of junk.
