Vault pro

Grest bag with one exception. The clasp on the front pocket is loose and keeps opening. Velcro would be a better choice to keep the flap closed.
best travel bag ever!

Took this bag throughout Europe - from hiking to nightlife - and was perfect in every environment. Held everything needed (including I-Pad, snacks, etc.). Very comfortable even when lugging luggage and kids.
I think it will be great
By Marilyn P., Sacramento, CA in July, 2012
I found a bag in a secondhand store that converted to a backpack via separating straps that was perfect for sightseeing, so when I saw this bag I knew it would be perfect. Wasn't sure about capacity, but I've loaded it with what I intend to bring and I think it will be fine. The material is a bit stiff but the versatility is the selling point.
love it

I like using the back pack when traveling. This one has tons of room and lots of hidden zippered areas.
Not great.
By Karen S., Redwood City, CA in June, 2012
I used the bag for a one week trip overseas. By half way through the week the metal ring that goes around the hole for the clasp on the front of the bag was falling off. One of the little screws is missing so the metal piece on the back of the flap spins around. I also felt that it did not have enough separate compartments for my liking. The ability to wear as a backpack or a shoulder bag was nice. All in all, not my favorite bag.
Vault Pro backpack
By Diann J., Little rock, AR in June, 2012
The best travel purse I have had. I carried it all 3 ways and my back/shoulders did not get sore or hurt. Roomier than I thought it would be. It would be nice if there was an outside net stretchy pocket for a bottle of water.
OK as a backpack.

I was disappointed in this item. It worked OK as a backpack, but is very awkward as a purse. There doesn't seem to be a comfortable way to carry it as a purse. Additionally, I found it hard to get things in and out of. I did like the outside pockets.

Very light and roomy. Comfortable to carry as a backpack even when heavy. I feel more secure in my travels from the security features.
As promised

This small back pack is versitile and can be used as a back-pack, handbag, or small satchel. We'll use it in France this summer and give it a try. Like the security features which guard against grabs or cutting of straps.
A good Idea, but needs work
By Katie M., Prescott, AZ in June, 2012
It was stiff and would not hold the items I need to carry in a purse. To ward off pick pockets, it would be helpful to have a zippered compartment next to your back when carrying it as a backpack.
Peace of Mind
By Susan W., Amherst, MA in June, 2012
I bought the convertible backpack for a trip to Asia after carefully scoping out many day-packs and it worked beautifully. It was just big enough for some guide books & maps, sunscreen, sunglasses, a snack and my change purse (plus some other small stuff). Like other reviewers, I would suggest that the manufacturer add more inside pockets--preferably ones that zip. I kept my passport and credit cards in an RFID wallet in the single zippered inside pocket. The versatile nature of the bag made it easy to keep safe on/near my person at all times and the steel-cable reinforced shoulder straps and slash-proof fabric put lingering fears to rest. Did I mention that it is pretty stylish as well? I didn't feel the least bit frumpy.
Great backpack/purse

Liked it so much, bought second one as Mother's Day gift. Very versatile as shoulder bag and backpack. Opens wide so easy to find what I need, also many convient compartments.
Perfect for busy walking days!
By Jeanne E., Sarasota, FL in May, 2012
I got the backpack for those trips that will require lots of walking and maybe hiking. It's first trip was taking our grandaughter to a theme park for her 7th birthday. What a perfect pack it turned out to be. We went on roller coasters and wet rides and I didn't worry about the wallet, camera or various gifts inside. All contents were completely dry and my hands were free to hang on to my grandaughter and/or handrails. I highly recommend this product!
A bag that can be carried 3 ways
By Sue H., Kamloops, BC in May, 2012
Since I have back problems, I cannot carry a heavy bag or purse on one arm or shoulder. I have been looking for a small size back pack and finally found your wonderful bag that is easy to organize and has the clever design of a zipper in the middle of the main strap so it can be slung over one shoulder or separated to provide 2 straps for back pack carrying, as well as 2 loops for carrying in the hand. I appreciate the wide top opening that makes it easy to get into but which also collapses to a smaller width for easier carrying. Safety features include all outside pockets having a closure so no one can access them without my knowledge, as well as slash-proof fabric that prevents "slash & grab".
Almost perfect
By Lee S., Westfield, NJ in April, 2012
Very roomy and lighter than expected with the steel armor system. This bag would be perfect with a few small changes. The detachable key fob with light would be much more helpful if it was located in the main compartment rather than in the front outer pocket. The straps work well as a backpack, and the short straps work well to grab and go, but to wear the bag as a sling over your shoulder, is just not practical and uncomfortble . If the strap attachment at the base of the bag had hooks, so the backpack strap when zipped could be clipped to one side or the other, wearing the bag over your shoulder would be really easy and comfortable. Also if there was a large side zip entry to the bag, this would truly be the only bag a woman ever needed.
great little bag
By Karen S., Williamsburg, VA in April, 2012
I like the bag -- it's roomier than I thought it would be and not too heavy, even with all the reinforcing. I wish it had a couple more pockets, and I'm concerned about the phone pocket in the outside zipper compartment being in the same location as the credit card slots, so I'll use a different pocket for my phone. But it really does a pretty good job of offering a variety of pockets and access points.
Loved this bag. Light, secure and easy to use.
By Lisa H., Grafton, WI in April, 2012
I highly recommend this bag. I bought it for a China/Vietnam trip and used it continuously for 3 weeks. It is very light, holds lots of items, is waterproof, convertible, can be used for both casual and more dressy outfits and is very safe.
Love it!

I bought this to travel with and am so glad I did. I used it recently and it's so light, I really love the organization. The security features are an added bonus and gave me peace of mind. I finally found a backpack that didn't give me buyer's remorse!

I returned the backpack because it was too difficult to get into the main part of the bag; the opening was too little.
Back Pack is Good

I have not used the item for the reason i bought it. I will be travelingin Europe this fall so knowit will be amazing to carry on my back insteadof a purse slung over my shoulder Will let you know this time next yearhow it worked out
Love it!
By Suzy F., Albany, OR in February, 2012
I am going to use this bag for the first time this coming week on a business trip. It will be replacing a second tote bag I use along with a rolling brief case. This will allow me to just have to worry about the brief case and not another bag. I am able to put all of the items along with my Kindle into this bag. I purchased it for the safety features of the steel cables and cut proof material. It is dressy enough that I will not need to pack a smaller bag.
Won't stay on shoulder
By Marvel Z., Berne, IN in February, 2012
The backpack / purse was supposed to be used either way, but I found that the strap, when zipped together to be used as a purse, was so wide and positioned wrong on the purse that it really wouldn't stay on my shoulder. I liked the fabric -- it seems very well made and sturdy.
