We've had one of these for years and have used it often. Many rentals don't have safes in them, so this works very well to secure valuables while you sight-see. Finding a secure place to attach it to may take some ingenuity (a gas pipe in the most recent use) so look around carefully. I like the hint about securing it inside a suitcase to the frame. Thanks.

My pilot husband spends much time in hotels worldwide. Safety is always a concern & he wanted something to hold his most important items no matter where he was. My husband uses it to hold his keys, ID, wallet, sunglasses & phone whether in the gym, a restaurant, poolside, locked onto his luggage or tethered to something in the room. He's used it at water & theme parks w/the kids & locked it onto his chair or belt (on rides) to secure sunglasses & camera while having fun w/the kids. Love this!

I have been using my Travelsafe when I take my kids to the water park. I lock in my wallet, phone, keys, etc and strap it to my stroller and a lawn chair side by side. I feel very safe without having to constantly check on our stuff. I don't usually leave behind any valuables in my hotel room when I travel, but I'd feel a little safer if I had to.

I purchased a larger backpack version and found that it was really heavy to carry... so I replaced it with this smaller version and its just perfect for passports, cameras, etc. and easy to pack even if you never have to use it.

This portable safe came in quite handy during my 3 week trip to Europe. Several of my hotels/B&Bs did not have safes, and I fastened this safe to the heating pipes when I was out during the day. I used my own combination lock instead of the lock and key provided, as I was afraid I would lose the key. No problems with going through security, although they did scan my bag twice a few times. Good for passport, iPod, money, and otehr valuables.

This worked so well on my trip to Ireland. I kept my important documents locked inside, with the cable wrapped around the internal frame of the suitcase and the suitcase locked. A few times I also kept a camera lens or two that I wasn't using locked inside. I was happy to see that they were able to fit in there. Before I bought this, I was confused as to how exactly it locked up, but it's actually very simple and secure. I always worry about leaving things in hotels, but I didn't worry about my passport/lenses when they were locked up in the travelsafe. I highly recommend it if you need that extra level of comfort while you're out and about and can't bring all your valuables with you.
