Great is for those with walking disabilities
By Stephen F., Alexandria, VA in July, 2012 -
I have used this Leki "Wanderfreund" staff for years (this version is substantially better than the previous, cork-handled one). My ability to walk has been permanently impaired and I am absolutely dependent on walking with a cane. I go everywhere with the Leki, and it has enabled me to take the long walks in nature than I love. It is significantly better--lighter and more ergonomic--than the standard medical canes. For long walks in city or country I always use two of these.

Super Micro Walking staff
By kate h., Harleysville, PA in July, 2012 -
The walking staff is exceptional. It folds in the suitcase for travel and is very sturdy for a large 6'1" man. There was some concern about strength given the folding ability that the staff has, but that proved not to be true. It's an excellent product.

I had a walking staff that slipped when I leaned on it heavily, this one holds true, love it.

Excellent walking stick/travel cane
By Stephanie F., Fresno, CA in March, 2012 -
Lightweight, folds up nicely to fit in large tote or carry-on, attractive with a sporty look. Perfect for travel if you don't need to use it every minute (but you could if you wanted). I find it helpful to use a cane in crowded areas, like airports, train stations, etc., for increased visibility and to discourage bumping and loosing my balance or injury. Leki is a quality brand for telescoping walking sticks; I have a pair of Leki "Nordic Walking Sticks and love them for exercise walking (they are much longer than cane length).

Leki is a good product.
By Dick Y., Sierra Madre, CA in June, 2011 -
It is very handy for travelling. The retracted lenght of 17¾-inch is the ideal lenght to be stored in a 20 inch carry-on luggage or a backpack. Most of the walking staff's retracted lenght are more than 20-inch long which requires one section to be removed when store in the carry-on luggage,.
