• I just ordered the scanner for a trip to the Peruvian jungle. It would seem to be useful even in this country in conjunction with the steri pen for water. Last year I got giarrdia here in THIS country in Amish country in Ohio. It is small enough to take on the plane and keep in my backpack as we do medical clinics in the Amazon.

• I was skeptical regarding this device and it's claims of 99% bacterial removal from foreign surfaces. As someone who travels alot, and is regularly subject to colds and other mannner of viral infection, this product seemed promising, almost too good to be true.
