The Scottvest Classic Travel Vest is fantastic!
By Fiona H., CT in August, 2010

•   I bought the Scottvest for my grandson who is about to start high school. He loves it so much he won't take it off, even in the summer heat! The features he loves are: looks great, has 22 secret pockets, and is very light weight. The pockets contain his phone, i-pod, wallet, retractable key ring, special pockets for maps and binoculars, etc. It is great for his family because we know he has all his esssentials in one place!

  great for traveling
By Leonard R., IL in July, 2010

•   This is a great travel vest. Tons of pockets. I kept acquiring things on a recent plane trip (magazines, books, snacks) and they all went into the vest. Because of its design, it didn't look like they were there at all. My earphones became part of the vest and the system worked great. Worth the price, and highly recommended!

  Sweet!
By JJ P., TX in July, 2010

•   This is a very well made product and by no means does it hold back on any details. However, being from South Texas the summers here are brutal and the vest is a bit warm. I'am sure the vest will be perfect for the fall season. I'm five nine and the large is perfect. It's length is also perfect (not too short). This is definitely a "sweet" buy!

  A Great Vest
By Jim C., BC in June, 2010

•   This is more than a travel vest. The design does allow a ton of storage, but more than that, it is comfortable, stylish, light, soft, warm when it is cool, and breathes well when the weather is warmer. I'm wearing this regularly to work and I wish I had a beater Men's Classic Travel Vest for work around the house.

  Good
By David L W., IT in March, 2010

•   Excellent, light, versatile, many pockets and it still looks smart even when the pockets are full!

You need to put your finger behind the zips when you are closing them on the pockets otherwise the material gets caught and the zip jams.

  Well worth the price
By Mark W., SC in February, 2010

•   Very pleased with the vest; excellent construction; so many pockets it's easy to get confused; worn on vacation to FL theme parks - thought it might not be warm enough but worked well and carried everything I wanted from snacks to ponchos to sunglasses with ease. Looking forward to my first air travel with the vest - should be convenient for security.

Pace Maker Users - I have had this Great product Modified.
By Tim W., AL in February, 2010

•   I am a long term PaceMaker implanted patient . My wife has several Scottevests and I have been envious of the ease with which she negotiotes security screening as a result.

The HEALTH WARNING may be justified, the magnets may be small but Very powerful.

HOWEVER - we were able to have them removed very simply by unstitching the patch that contained them.

The jacket is wonderful . Pacer and Defib. Patients, DO NOT wear one without performing this minor modification and checking carefully

  Pockets Pockets (warm) Pockets
By Peter A., CA in February, 2010

•   This is the vest I wish I had during my recent 3-week European trip. It has pockets for EVERYTHING, and special fittings to make it all coexist without getting tangled. I have not yet 'loaded it up' as far as possible, but have enjoyed using the pockets I need. Note that it is insulated and you might get warm wearing it. The Magellan's price is better than the Scottvest website price too!

  Addresses many needs
By Robert M., CA in February, 2010

•   So Far, I have had only limited opportunity to make use of the vest, however, I have been looking for something like this for years and all the products I have tried did not meet the grade. Looks like I finally have a winner. Just the ability to reduce the hassel at the airport scanners station alone is worth the price. Also, the fact they tried to keep the overheating factor for summer use down is great. The only negative I have found so far is what to put in what pocket since there are so many

  Perfect gift!
By Sandra W., WA in January, 2010

•   I got this vest as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loves it! Fits perfectly. With lots of pockets on the inside it looks really nice -- not like a bulging "safari" vest at all.

  Great travel idea
By fred b., NC in January, 2010

•   Using this vest eliminated the need for a backpack on our recent trip to France
While I didn't use all 21 pockets, I was able to carry
water bottle, guidebook, map,
sunglasses, reading glasses,
Passport, wallet, tickets,
light rain jacket, small souvenirs, passport, wallet, notebook, tickets, and light souvenirs and cell phone

Oh, and also a cap and neck scarf.
And yes, it does take some time getting used to, and remembering
which pocket held what item.
Liked it so much, bought and gave one as Christmas Gift.

  Travel Vest by Sottevest
By Glenn S., KY in November, 2009

•   REALLY like this vest. Clean lines, nice collar, nice drape to the fabric. Maybe too many pockets, as it is nearly impossible to utilize all of them simultaneously, and that makes me feel less than efficient. That said, it travels easily. Remember that black shows lint and stuff more readily than does tan (mine is black and I prefer it to tan in this instance).

  Can I remember?
By Rock C., CA in November, 2009

•   Great vest and I will not need a back pack on our next cruise. The only problem is to remember in what pocket did I put what I am looking for. I put all the "stuff" I normally carry ashore in the vest and because you reminded me to go one size larger the vest fits great and looks great. Thanks for the help. Now as long as I don't forget my vest!! LOL

•   Ordered one for myself and hubbie. While mine ran small, men's did not. Ordered him a XL and had to return for a L. He like the fact that it does not look like a travel vest because of the inside pockets. Fabric is also very soft although very sturdy. He is though concerned that it is on the heavy side.

  Sons love it!
By Nancy P., WA in July, 2009

•   I got 4 of these for Christmas '08 presents & my three sons and grandson just love them. They actually rave about them so I can highly recommend to all of the folks who are looking for a gift that will be very well received...this is it.

  Best Vest
By Patricia C., WA in June, 2009

•   Quality, practicality and style. My husband just loves his new vest and wears it everyday, everywhere.

  Classic Comfort
By Arlene W., BC in May, 2009

•   I bought this vest for my hubby who absolutely loves it. It is lightweight and provides all the comfort and warmth that he wants. With all the many convenient pockets and hidey holes, he is in "man heaven". It looks classy with either jeans or dress pants and is a go anywhere vest. The workmanship is supurb!

  Excellent
By Mary L., NC in May, 2009

•   Construction is excellent, fits well and the thought that went into the multitudes things travel with have been well thought out.

  Travel Vest
By R. Philip H., OH in March, 2009

•   I am very pleased with the vest. It provides the security pockets I need for travel overseas, and it is still very stylish - not all the pockets on the outside like most vests offered by travel companies. I read other reviews before I ordered and took to heart people's concerns about the sizing being small. I normally wear an XL, I ordered an XXL and it fits like a tight XL. Definitely order a size larger than what you normally wear.Overall, a good product.

  Carry darn near everything!
By Jay B., TX in January, 2009

•   This vest lets me carry an incredible amount of stuff. The real challenge is keeping track of where I put everything! As advertised, it distributes the weight quite well and the pockets do not bulge. My only concern is that the zippers are sometimes cranky and hard to zip.

  functional and well made
By Anonymous in December, 2008

•   however , since the pockets are on the inside , this item should be made in a XXXL size .

  travel vest
By Rachelle C., VA in November, 2008

•   My husband absolutely loves this vest. He carries everything in it and just slips it off and puts it in the bin to be scanned at the airport. No more emptying pockets.

  Pocketed Travel Vest
By Alan T., IL in November, 2008

•   Have been wearing this regularly and this product has some very good points, and some that I did not anticipate. The most significant issue with the black vest ordered is that the outer material is the same as the liner. Since there are no sleeves, it is very easy to don the vest inside-out and not be aware until zippering. The second is that two hands are often needed to operate some zippers. Otherwise it is a nice practical product despite these limitations.

By Anonymous in November, 2008

•   Great product but the sizing is quite small - especially if the wearer is going to fill the various pockets!

  fine, but
By Anonymous in November, 2008

•   Main zipper didn't work after about three times, no matter how hard I or others tried. Nice looking, and doesn't bulge. Velcro at neck line tends to get exposed and scratch. Cards in each pocket are cute, but suggest a low level of i.q. for the user.

•   This is incredible! For any woman who is trying to get her husband to get his own 'purse' (satchel, manbag, murse - whatever you want to call it ) so that he can carry his own cell phone etc, this is the answer! And the quality is unparalleled. We purchased this for a long trip but now that we are home he is wearing it for everyday...and looks really cool as well! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

By Anonymous in September, 2008
•   Seems like well designed, good quality product. I bought a black one and liked it so well that I ordered the light brown one.

By Gary M., AB in August, 2008
•   This is a nicely designed vest that really has all of the pockets and functionality that are claimed. I find myself wearing it all the time, even in hot weather, just for the pockets. The only design flaw is the lack of snap or button closures on the front of the vest, you have to zip it up. Zippers always require more fumbling than snaps or buttons and if the wind is blowing and your hands aren't free, then it's awkward. Aside from that one flaw, this is a very unique and functional garment.

By Anonymous in August, 2008
•   Nice vest... but make sure you order the next size up from your normal size. Their sizing is smallish, unless you want something skin-tight.

By Anonymous in July, 2008
•   My husband bought this for our vacation to Italy. It's unbelievable as far as the stuff he put inside - camera, wallet, tissues, water bottle (yes, that's right!), guidebook, map, coin purse, keys, and a lot more. The best thing is the design - even when stuffed, the vest never looks bulky but very sleek. Nice!
