The credit card sized Eon® Everlasting Flashlight is remarkably bright, and fits easily into any pocket. This powerful, high-tech LED pocket light contains two bright LED bulbs and special circuitry that enables it to shed a bright beam into dark hallways and entries, poorly lit streets, or deep corners of carry-on bags, using very little battery power. The bulbs will never burn out, and the non-replaceable batteries will last up to 10 years with average use (that's eight times longer than most lights!). Available in Red with red light (best for map reading), Black with white light, or Purple with blue light. (3 3/8 x 2 1/8"; 1 oz)

• This flashlight just weathered its first trip with flying colors. Its compact shape rendered it easy to carry in a purse and so to have available in a flash! The light is very bright--avoid shining it in anyone's eyes! The EON will make a great gift for friends and relatives.

Light on Russian bus

• When my sister and I traveled through the former Soviet block countries, we weren't horrified by toilets that usually were no worse than well-used porta-johns, but using them in pitch darkness was scary. I had bought two of the eon lights, one for each of us, and used them all the time. Everyone on the tour borrowed them for equally dark toilet on the bus. It would be very helpful to have an on-off switch, because squeezing the internal button tires the hand.

Greatest travel light ever

• This is the 2nd light I purchased. It is very handy though just a little thick to store in my wallet. Light is consistent and very bright. The only down side is people are so facinated with it that you end up giving it to them as a gift! I highly recommend you purchase two of these items. Great for dark stairways, country roads or paths and just plain dark nights!

Disappointing durability

• At first I was very pleased with this item - the light it puts out is indeed very powerful, and since it is super slim it is easy to have around. Unfortunately it started having problems after about a week of use (10 mins of actual on time). It would turn on intermittently - seemed like a loose wire rather than a bad battery, then flash off. In other words, no longer useful. I chucked it in disgust after it failed when I needed it walking along a dark road in India.

•   Beautiful and bright light. I got the red. Expensive, though as it lasted less than a month, though the dozen or less times I used it it functioned well. Some problem with the switch, I presume, but since it is sealed in plastic, I cannot fix it. Too bad. Good idea, though.

•   These flashlights are absolutally awsome. I have one of each color and I always use them. The red on is great for reading in the dark and the other two can be used for everything else. These are great and i would reccomend them to anyone.

•   On the morning of our last day in Rome, we awoke at 5 a.m. to a power outage in our hotel. We had to be leave the hotel at 6 a.m. to make our return flight to the US, and since it was February, it was dark. Fortunately, we had packed the night before, but without the Eon Everlasting Flashlight, we would not have been able to see to get dressed and pack last minute items. We now never travel without it.

•   It is very light and easy to carry. The drawback is that it is too light and easy to get lost and the swith does not stay on, so you have to click it every time you use it.
