Your lost bags will find YOU with these tags. Over 97% of all missing bags show up within four days. But by that time, you may have left for your next destination. The only option the airline has is to send your bag to the address on your luggage tag--your home! These sturdy vinyl tags invite baggage agents (in eight languages) to remove the itinerary you've placed inside, and forward your bag to you while you're still en route. Every checked-in bag should have one. (6 x 3-3/8"; 1 oz/pr)

•   I wish I had found these years ago. They will save a lot of time in the event of a baggage handling mixup. - Joe L., IN

•   These tags have been terrific in global travel. It has made sure delayed luggage followed me from hotel to hotel, city to city, and country to country. When I have only been in a country for a few hours, this tag has made sure the luggage was transfered to another airline and arrived. Have never lost a bag with this tag attached!

•   I bought my first set of these tags in gray color from Magellans about twelve years ago. During my military travels, they made at least 30 trips with me and survived all manner of third world carriers. I'm finally buying two more sets for my retirement travels. Glad to see they now come in a bright and easier to spot color.

•   I have used these for several years and dozens of domestic and int'l trips. I have had my luggage forwarded a few times while using these tags- don't know if they really helped or not. One good point is that they conceal personal info while making it available to others when necessary. I include my cellphone and email in addition to itinerary inside. I always double back the leather strap on the buckle to keep it from coming open. I reinforce the slot in the tag that the buckle goes through with duct tape, and try to avoid attaching to a handle, because this thing is just too tempting for baggage handlers to grab and use to pull the bag.

•   I used these tags on my bags when I went to Rome. Worked fine on the way over but both had been torn off on the way back. They should have stronger straps.

•   It is amazing that I still have my first pair of grey tags. They have survived hundreds of trips and I keep buying them and sending them to friends and family when they are taking a trip. There is nothing to equal this wonderful i.d. tag. Thank you. - Jan D., FL

•   These are a great idea. However, three of the four I purchased were destroyed or lost. My daughter used these for a trip to Hong Kong. One was lost and the other one was still on the baggage, but it was barely hanging on and is in bad condition, probably not useable again. We used them on a cruise through the Panama Canal, attached to a handle. When the baggage handlers broke off the handle, the tag was lost. I would recommend these as backup, but not as the only outside identification. Use two pieces of identification, and put them in different locations on the bag. And put the same information inside the bag. - Andrea, PA

•   I have used these tags for many trips and my luggage has always found me. I lose them by giving them away to other travelers! But I do not use the straps that came with them - I use electrical wire ties in bright colors for all of my tags. They are tough and must be cut with scissors to trim the long end or to remove. - Amy B., NH

•   I have used the retriever luggage tags for many years. This year my tag was "liberated" by someone in baggage handling as it disappeared from my suitcase. I used a metal ring to fasten it to the suitcase so it is not a case of failing buckle or loose plastic tie-this was deliberate theft. I have to conclude that it must be a great item to have on a delayed suitcase as it's now another target for thieves. I will continue to seek another way to secure the retriever tag to my suitcase. - H T., CA

•   Don't bother! The baggage handlers can't (or don't) read, no matter what the language. It's a long story, but suffice it to say that despite a complete itinerary inside with addresses and phone numbers, the bags never made it to Europe, let alone outside the United States!! The airlines were able to leave it at the front door while we were gone. Fortunately we have good neighbors.

•   Have used these for several years and they are great especially for involved RTW trips. Give them to travelling friends and family, even those who live in other countries and have never seen them.

•   bought these for trip 1.5 years ago and LOVE them ... will be buying more and using as gifts for people that travel a lot !!

•   Great concept, poor execution. The only thing that got lost on our trip were 3 out of 6 of these tags: the buckle comes undone too easily. Ended up using duct tape to hold them shut.

•   Good idea, but the tags (both of them) came off the baggage whilst in transit. The leather attaching straps are too thin and soon break. Invent a stronger attachment system please.

•   I have used these tags several times. They provide a degree of peace of mind, though I don't know if they really help or not. At least twice my bags have arrived with the tags torn off (i.e., they don't seem very durable or resistant to abuse).

•   i have lost one of these tags on each of my last two international trips. i personally think that he strap closure is poorly designed because i have not lost any of my other luggage tags on any recent trip. in the interim i recommend that the tag be applied with great care. i also suggest that you buy back ups and carry one or two with you in your suitcase.

•   I should have read all the comments prior to purchasing/using. I used them for the first time last week and only one out of two survived the first set of flights. I now see this is a design problem--good idea, poor execution. Don't waste your money unless you follow suggestions of duck taping them, which seems bothersome.
