Simple instructions

•   For security I like the four number combination over the three. The instructions are very easy to follow when setting the combination that YOU choose. They work perfectly on duffle bags, though I feel it is more of a deterrent than for security? I think it would be nice if it could be madeto be a little heavier duty.

•   I recently ordered a set of these locks for my son because I have used a set myself for several years and have been pleased with them. After numerous trips both internationally and domestically my locks still function. I have never lost one, but I hold the prong in tightly as I scramble the numbers to make sure I have fastened the lock securely. I suspect that the people who complain about lost locks do not do this.

•   We have had several of these locks (which are great) removed by TSA from our luggage and have not seen them again. We guess they are cutting them off and not putting them back on the luggage. Love the locks but guess TSA "forgets" to put them back on...

•   We have been using these locks for over 3 years now & have had no problems! The 4 we bought work so well we bought a set for my Mother & Mother-in-law! Workmanship excellent!

  Falls short

•   We are very glad to be able to lock our luggage with these locks, however, we have had 3 of them broken. The only one that had the red dot exposed could not be reset, and two others were bent and would not go back into the hole to lock. They need to be sturdier.

•   These are very easy to set and use.  No hasseling with keys to lose and you don't have to worry about anyone opening your suitcase (except at airport, of course).

  Durable & Rugged Locks

•   I bought a pair of these locks a few years ago and there going strong after numerous trips in the U.S. and to the Far East. They've been banged up, opened by security several times, and they still work well. These locks are important to foil the "quick grab" thief. I had stuff locked in my bag with these locks and nothing was stolen when our rental house in Aruba was broken into. The thief didn't have time to break the lock or cut open the bag. These are also deterrents to airport baggage

•   The four dial locks provide excellent security for your luggage. Not only that, if airport securiy needs to open your luggage after you have checked-in they have a master key that can open your luggage without having to tear it open.

•   Because of all the dire warnings about luggage locks, we put off purchasing any until our last trip when our travel agency urged that TSA locks be purchased. We are so pleased ... the locks were easy to use and it was so very reassuring to know that our luggage was secure! We don't know why we waited so long!

•   1) The TSA removes these locks in order to inspect your baggage. They often forget to put the locks back on. The TSA will NOT reimburse you if this happens. So, you will be out the money you paid for the lock AND your luggage will still go thru transport unlocked. No one wins. These locks are easily damaged. The number dials get smashed in making them impossible to turn. In most cases you will have to cut the lock off in order to open your bag.

We bought FOUR of these locks for vacation and only ONE made it home from vacation. One of the locks was damaged to the point we had to cut it off and the other two locks were lost in transport (they were on the bags when we left them at the departing airport, but were missing when we picked the bags up).

•   Wonderful item. I feel safer with SOMETHING locking my luggage. Airport security has been OK with them, even in Asia and Central America. They seem to like the idea that I am using them. I have had nothing missing from my luggage since using these where as I did before.

•   On our recent trip, my luggage was opened and inspected, and the lock put back on. However, my husband's lock disappeared, and his luggage was not checked! Can his lock be replaced? I am ordering two additional locks just to have extras. I feel somewhat more secure with the locks on and we have never had a problem before. Thanks for a great product.

•   The first time I checked my baggage with these locks in place, the clerk was excited to see that they were now on the market. Friends and family have found items missing from their luggage, but my luggage arrived with everything in place. I wouldn't travel without these locks.

•   These are good locks and replaceable. We have just requested replacement of lock that disappeared between Fairbanks and San Francisco, no problem! We ordered two more so we will have four.

•   These locks work great great. Twice I have had them removed by TSA and both times Magellan replaced them.

•   With ordinary luggage locks, it's a 50-50 chance they will break off before I reach my destination. Not so with the Magellan's Combo Locks; after dozens of flights with several locks, they are still with me and working great. TSA approved also!!

•   I have had TSA remove two (one each of two trips) and not replace them on the luggage. Check your bags when you get to your destination. If they're missing report the incident immediately.

•   ON DECEMBER 20TH I TRAVELED FROM MIAMI TO PARIS TO MADRID. WHEN I GOT MY LUGGAGE WHICH I HAD 3 OF THEM BETWEN MY WIFE AND I. ONE THE LOCKS WAS MISSING AND OF COURSE A NOT FRM TSA SAYING THEY HAD TO INSPECT I HAD THE MAGELLAN LOCKS ON ALL OF THEM I CALLED TSA AND ALL THEY SAY THEY WOULD SEND ME A FORM TO FILE A CLAIM OF COURSE IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH AND NO WORD FROM SO I DECIDED TO ORDER MORE LOCK I JUST NOTE YOUR OFFER TO REPLACE MY LOCK IF IT WAS CUT BY TSA. WHAT DO I HAVE TODO TO TAKE UP ON YOUR OFFER. SINCERELY, ROGER SARRIA
