"If you must sleep sitting up, good head and neck support is vital." Dr. Melvin Cheatham developed Komfort KollarŪ for those of us who struggle to sleep while sitting up in our coach seats on those flights that seem to go on forever. (When we do manage to sleep, we often wake up with a painfully stiff neck.) His specially-designed, easy-to-inflate Komfort KollarŪ supports your cervical spine from every angle (including under your chin!) and brings comfort you never experienced with other pillows. Deflates and stows in pocket-sized pouch. (7 oz)

More Information:

Aren't these the same pillows people wear after a car accident?

No. They may bear a small resemblance, but these are fundamentally different from cervical pillows that physicians prescribe to immobilize a patient's neck. In stark contrast, the Komfort KollarŪ is designed to give you freedom of movement as you sleep while preventing your neck from flexing at angles that will cause muscle strain and the all too familiar "crick-in-the-neck." The Komfort KollarŪ is not a medical product. It is a comfort product.

It looks constricting to me. Is it?

Actually, the Komfort KollarŪ is designed to be relatively loose around your neck, and choosing the right size is key to finding the right fit. When the Wall St. Journal's travel writers tested it themselves, they reported, "your neck will thank you." When worn properly, the inflatable model gently cradles your head, and the foam model cushions your head even more.

How can I be sure which size is right for me?

The first step in determining your size is to take your neck measurement using a measuring tape. Our two models have slightly different sizing because one is filled with air while the other is filled with foam. Both models have an adjustable velcro strap that allows you to wear your Kollar as snugly or as loosely as it suits you. If you order a Kollar that ends up being the wrong size, simply send it back and we will gladly send you the next size up or down.

Should I choose the inflatable or the memory-foam model?

This depends on where you plan to sleep in it, as well as your packing needs. The Wall St. Journal stated, "our tester claimed he could nap fairly well without any added support. Plus, it deflates to save space."

Our memory-foam model is not as compact, but it is far more soft and supportive than the inflatable. When packed, the foam model takes up about as much space as a shoe in your luggage between flights, and it easily secures around the shoulder strap of your carry-on. Generally, the inflatable is good for air travel, while the foam model is good for all travel, especially road trips, train trips, and afternoon naps in your favorite chair.

I've been disappointed by other pillows. How is this any different?

Cheap pillows don't offer you better sleep, they just cost less. What makes the Komfort KollarŪ worth the extra cost is its 360 degrees of support that gently cradles your head the way a top spine surgeon knows it should. Furthermore, the Kollar has been strengthed at key stress points to stand up to repeated use from one trip to the next. The Komfort Kollar also comes with a protective envelope-shaped PVC pouch.

Do both models come with washable fabric covers?

No. Only the foam model currently ships with a washable fabric cover. The inflatable model's soft "flocked" PVC material is washable too.

How much air should I blow into the inflatable Kollar?

Filling the inflatable 100% tends to make it too firm. Therefore, we recommend blowing it up 90% to 95% so that it feels more like your favorite pillow at home. We find that people naturally doze with their head tilted to one side or the other, as opposed to straight ahead. Having the Kollar filled 90% to 95% helps your head find its natural snoozing angle.

Is there too much cushion behind my head? Will it push my head forward?

Both models have been tapered at the back to prevent your head from being pushed forward.

How does the Kollar feel against the skin?

The inflatable model's flocked PVC material is designed for long, soft and cool wear against the skin. The memory-foam model is a super-soft, 80% cotton velour that helps dissipate heat from long hours of wear.

Is the memory-foam model heavy on the shoulders?

No. We spent 18 months developing just the right consistency of foam to be soft on the neck and shoulders, yet firm enough to support your head and neck.

I have an eldery mother who sleeps sitting up. Would this be good for her?

The memory-foam model was expressly designed to help those who fall asleep sitting up, whether they're a teenager being driven to college or a senior napping in a retirement community. Both stand at equal risk of waking to a "crick" in the neck, but while teenagers are more resilient, seniors demand and deserve a higher quality of life, free from pain and discomfort.

Related Travel Tip:

  • Neck Pillow Inflation
Take care not to over-inflate your neck pillow as it will swell up a bit when the plane reaches altitude. It will also 'cuddle' your head better when it's a bit under-inflated.

  Great for overseas trips
By ruth y., MI in March, 2012

•   I bought the KKollar after losing patience with an inflatable U-shaped collar. Put it to great use on several flights from the US to Africa. It does eliminate the neck kink and the open-mouthed drooling, but not the forward head bob.

Fortunately, on some of the larger Airbuses, the headrest comes up high enough that the side wings can hold the Kollar in place. (this is not a even a problem if you can put your seat back some)

The material doesn't breathe, so where your neck touches it, it does get warm and sweaty--again, easily fixed with a layer of cloth in between.

Love the convenience! Several other travelers were giving me envious glances on the plane and asked me where I got my Kollar... :)

  Komfort Kollar Review
By Ellen W., TX in March, 2012

•   Used Kollar on a recent trip to Italy. As promised, it does help keep your head from flopping side to side. Is easy to inflate and deflate. The only problem I can find is that it made my neck sweat a bit after wearing for a couple of hours.

  A bit cumbersome and awkward
By Therese L., WI in March, 2012

•   Ordered this because I wanted velcro and a tighter fitting collar than what is normally on the market. It's ok but it's quite large and cumbersome. It's not easy to use if you are in a middle seat and in economy! I found it easier to work with when I had business class seats. Like other reviews mentioned, the collar can get sweaty. I thought this would be more like an accident collar but it seemed to move with you instead of keeping your neck nice and tight. So far, it's probably the best choice on the market for now. At least you can deflate it.

  Travel in comfort
By Graham S., ON in February, 2012

•   A great product when I was given the middle seat of three on a 12 hour flight to New Zealand. It allowed me to catch a few hours sleep and not end up with my head on a strangers shoulder!

  Real comfort from comfort collar
By Louise N., IL in October, 2011

•   Only thing I have found to keep my head from bobbing forward when I sleep. One leaked and Magellan promptly replaced it. I won't travel without one, so I keep a spare now.

  Loved it, but...
By Mike F., HI in October, 2011

•   Both my wife and I used the inflatable Komfort Kollar during our recent trip from Honolulu to the Middle East. It worked great, with two there were two problems: 1) Your skin can't "breathe" where it touches the rubbery surface of the kollar, and you start to sweat. A cloth barrier eliminated this problem. 2) I inadvertently left my kollar in the seat-back pocket on one leg of our return flight.

  Test first
By Cindy M., VA in September, 2011

•   Inflate the pillow before you go on travel. I was on a plane US to London when I pulled out my brand new inflatable pillow, only to find it had several holes in the seams. Very uncomfortable flight as a result. When I returned home and contacted customer service Magellan was very quick to sent me a prepaid label for the defective product. I won't be buying an inflatable pillow for travel anytime soon after this experience.

•   Great product! Love that it deflates for easy packing. Great support.

  No Neck Kink or Drooling
By Val D., MD in November, 2010

•   This is my second KKollar. I had one of the originals and after years of use over hundreds of thousands of miles the strap gave out. After use is gets quickly stuffed into my case so it is no surprise it gave out, just that it lasted that long. I get as good a sleep as you can on a plane with no neck kink and the collar keeps your mouth closed so there is no waking up with dry mouth.

This is it! Comfort is key! Highly recommended!
By Jordan J., NY in October, 2010

•   I have used my Komfort Kollar 1/2 dozen times going overseas. It is so much more comfortable than the traditional neck pillow. You can sleep and move into almost any position. You will look like Uncle Fester from the Adams Family...but who cares...you are asleep!

  Can't do without it!
By Sigrid T., CA in October, 2010

•   Just ordered another of these collars to replace a previous one that I lost, 'cause I can't get along without it on a long flight. It looks odd but works great - not only does it keep your head from falling forward and waking you up, it also helps you avoid those painful cricks in your neck. Stores quite easily in your carry-on when flat and easy to inflate -just pinch the airtube a bit. Love mine!

  Very Comfortable
By Roger S., IA in September, 2010

•   It ablsolutely works like a charm. So easy to inflate!! I wish I had heard about it years ago, because now flying will be so relaxing!!!!

  A winner with some flaws
By deb p., CA in September, 2010

•   I hate falling out of those other neck collars, so this seemed perfect. Fit well. Made it to Greece and back and worked great. Next trip across country, it was deflating through a small leak. Bummer. Magellan's was fantastic in handling the return, no questions asked.

  Works in the car, too.
By D C., CO in August, 2010

•   Very glad to find this product; I was able to get some sleep while in a sitting position without my neck cramping.

  Comfort at last!
By Kathleen D., TN in July, 2010

•   This Komfort Kollar Is WONDERFUL! My husband and I both got one (heaven forbid either of us should have to share!) We've been trying it out and know it will fit the bill exactly on our flight to Ireland in mid-July. We'll arrive without the old familiar "pain in the neck".

  Komfort Kollar
By D. T. H., TX in July, 2010

•   I put the collar (or "Kollar") on right after supper, then slept better and longer than I ever have on the flight from Chicago to London-Heathrow. A good 4-5 hours of sleep, straight from supper to breakfast. I was sceptical of the "komfort kollar," not least because of the kookie spelling in its title--but I've become a believer.

  Won't travel without this
By Marianne D., MD in June, 2010

•   Allowed my husband and me to sleep without neck discomfort. This item was recommended by one of my doctors, and I'll thank him next time I see him. What a difference, especially when one is traveling to another part of the world.

  Komfort Kollar
By Vickie B., GA in June, 2010

•   I bought this Komfort Kollar intending to use it on an International flight. I was in economy class and the Kollar enabled me to sleep on the plane without comfortably. It did not create extra bulk in my carry on and was easy to inflate.

  Inflatable Komfort Kollar=Fantastic
By Marian L., VA in June, 2010

•   This is unbelievably comfortable, couldn't be a better product. Inflates in two or three breaths, and is perfectly designed for the purpose.

  Komfort Kollar
By Joan L., CA in June, 2010

•   The only pillow that allows me to sleep in coach!

  Does the impossible
By Elizabeth P., VA in June, 2010

•   I can virtually NEVER sleep on planes. But with Komfort Kollar, I CAN! It supports my neck from all sides so I never wake up with an awful crick in my neck. It inflates and deflates easily and I love the fact that I don't have to waste space in my luggage toting one of those bulky versions. With airlines charging more and more for luggage these days, who has the room? I totally recommend Komfort Kollar.

  Absolutely effective!
By Jan H., NC in June, 2010

•   My recent return required 52 hours travel time from bed to bed. The komfort collar enabled me to sleep comfortably sitting straight up on the last row of a 15 hour flight where there were only afew inches of reclining space. I used it on long bus rides and it served as a pillow where there was none in camp! My must travel companion!

  Products Ordered
By Jan N., TX in May, 2010

•   I ordered several things for our trip to Rome and the Greek Isles, i.e., neck pillows, fanny pack, purse.... all from your highly recommended items. Everything was as advertised. Love 'em all!

  My sleep enhancer!
By Leslie P., OH in May, 2010

•   I recently travelled to Australia. I do not think I would have slept as much as I did without this neck pillow and an eye mask. This kept my head mostly upright, yet supported. This makes all the difference!!!!

  Komfort Kollar
By John L., CA in February, 2010

•   I just had one of the best red-eye flights ever, thanks to this collar which nicely supports the head in every direction. However, I had to re-inflate it a couple of times in five hours, so maybe this one leaks.

  faulty construction
By Frank W., WA in February, 2010

•   I purchased two of these, for the long flight to Australia for my girlfriend and myself. They both tore at the seam around the "stem" for no reason (were not abused or over inflated), leaving us both stranded without a pillow. Not reliable. though very comfortable when they do work.

  not comfortable
By S Y., IL in December, 2009

•   I really wanted this product to work, but for me it was very uncomfortable. The Kollar was too hot after just a few moments and I felt choked by it. when I moved slightly. I am small (106 lbs) so I know the size was not too small for me. Magellan's took it back with no hassle whatsoever. Good company.

  Great travel companion
By C S., NY in November, 2009

•   Fantastic neck support. The strap at the front ensures that the pillow stays in place and provides maximum support for the neck. I have found this is the perfect way to sleep on a plane. The pillow is soft enough to be comfortable yet firm enough to keep my head upright. Without it, my head tends to loll left, right or forward and I wake up with a horrible crick in my neck. Using the collar, I wake refreshed with no neck aches or pains. Very small and light to carry, too.

  didn't meet expectations
By Charvak K., MA in November, 2009

•   I expected a neck immobilizing brace that would allow me to fall asleep in my seat. Instead, I end up having to use it as a pillow and lean against a window to fall asleep. I've tried various levels of inflation and none of them work. A better product might have a folding plastic insert that rises up along the side of the head, with the inflatable part rising up with the insert. The brace could also be contoured to provide more support in the front so the head doesn't tilt forward.

  best inflatable I have used
By Sandra P., NC in October, 2009

•   I used it on 4 long haul flights and had minimal fidgeting for a middle seat! Of the inflatable pillows (which was an essential feature), this worked the best. As with other inflatable pillows, I wrapped it in a bandana to "soften" the edges and keep it cooler.

  Easy to use
By Ann R., TX in August, 2009

•   I have not used this on a plane yet, but I did take it on a long car trip. The day the Kollar arrived, I tested it: easy to inflate (and I am 67 and may not have as much lung power as younger users); VERY comfortable on neck; and, easy to deflate and store away in small space. It was great during the car trip and I know it will help on long plane trips.

  Komfort Koller
By sandra A. L., FL in August, 2009

•   I used this for the first time on a long flight to the Netherlands. It was wonderful. My neck was well supported all the time I wanted it on. Thanks

  It really works
By Susan S., MN in July, 2009

•   Pros: really supports your head so you can sleep, packs up small

Cons: is warm to wear, lasted less than a year before it began to leak too much to use

Liked it so much I have purchased a new one. Hopefully it will last longer.

I tried it and slept for hours! (or, 6 out of 5 stars-rating)
By Christopher M., CA in June, 2009

•   Since my last review, in which I reported inventing a "Komfort Kollar," I've flown from SFO to Amsterdam and back, an 11-hour nonstop flight. I had a window seat going and an aisle returning. After meals, I slept until the last 1.5 hours of each leg, thanks to the "Komfort Kollar." My head didn't continually fall forward. I, like another reviewer, aciddentally tore the velcro strap, but it is still attachable (hey----it's velcro!) The air pillow has arrived, thanks to the "Komfort Kollar."

  So Far, So Good!
By Ronald H., IL in May, 2009

•   I bought this item despite many negative reviews about difficulties inflating, deflating and leakage. I tried it at home, and it was very easy to inflate and deflate, and was also very comfortable to wear. The proof is in the pudding, though, and I haven't used it on a flight yet. The product comes with a warning to not inflate it until you are at cruising altitude, because the decrease in cabin pressure will cause the product to over-inflate, which could cause leaks. I wonder if that was the cause of the leaks the previous reviewers reported.

Anyway, looks like our next plane ride will be in December, so I will report back on our field testing of the product when we return. I sure hope it works, because I hate trying to prop my head up on pillows and blankets!

Bad Valve on a Great Product
By michael W., NC in April, 2009

•   This product works better than others on the market, but you nearly get a heart attack trying to blow it up, the valve is so tight it lets very little air through. So its also slow to deflate. If they fixed this feature, it would be a dream product.

  Perfected
By Christopher M., CA in March, 2009

•   I invented one of these things. I glued velcro onto a U-shaped inflatable travel pillow. It fell apart during the trip. I guess some entrepreneur saw my "invention" during the flight, or else great minds think alike. I'm glad Magellan is marketing this "Kollar." I'm going to try it on my next trans-pacific flight.

  Collaring Sleep on the Go
By Bob A., IL in January, 2009

•   This is an outstanding product. It works as advertised. I have gotten some great sleep on the go while sitting up. And it is easy to carry.

  Good idea, mediocre materials
By Linda W L., CA in January, 2009

•   I am on my 3rd pillow. Either the valve breaks and it won't inflate anymore (once) or velcro fastener tears off (twice). But I will get another because I find when it works, it works well and does help one sleep, especially on long flights. And it folds up to a small packet for carrying in a briefcase. I wish it were easier to blow up and deflate and that the velcro fastener didn't come off so easily. But once it is inflated, it works well.

Great but not with air leak
By Asim E., VA in January, 2009

•   This product is difficult to inflate. I would not recommend it to an elderly traveler. However, the real problem is it develops air leak along the seam and renders itself useless. Mine became leaky after three cross Atlantic flights. I tried to seal the leak but no luck.

  Lifesaver
By Anonymous in January, 2009

•   I purchased one of these pillows years ago, so it is not the model currently for sale. I have never had a problem with it and it has been a life saver on my many overseas trips. I was hoping to purchase a new one as the rubber valve stopper has torn and is difficult to open now. But I may wait until a new model comes out since the current one seems to have so many problems.

  Lost to Leaks
By  in December, 2008

•   I loved the pillow but was only able to use it a few trips before it started to leak. As others have noted, once the air leaked, it was useless. I bought the inflatable because it is easier to carry and the memory foam one is very expensive and bulky. Wish the manufacturer would fix the design flaws because it is a great idea !

  leaky, leaky
By Anonymous in December, 2008

•   I enjoyed this pillow very much until it began the leak everyone is talking about. It's a great idea but someone else should manufacture it. Quality......I will buy quality.

  Disappointing
By Sonia K., OH in November, 2008

•   Not easy to inflate--some air escaped after each puff despite all my efforts. Since it never became fully inflated, it was not as supportive as described and therefore I was unable to sleep using it. The seams were very irritating to my skin. It's difficult to see the velcro patches against the dark blue, and while trying to open it (the wrong way), one velcro patch was totally ripped off. I am sorry I purchased it.

By Jim M., CA in October, 2008
•   It's OK -- but not great. I got the inflatable type, and the seams are large and poke at your skin -- which is my biggest complaint. Ironically what I found is the design is not compatable with most long haul international plane seats. These seats have built in flexi-pillows. Because of the thick circular design of this brace it is hard to find a "sweet spot" in the seat to be comfortable with this product. Maybe a good idea for some, but I don't think this was a good buy for me.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   Cervical spine problems make it important that my head not fall forward if I fall asleep sitting up. This collar effectively keeps that from happening.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   I've used this inflatable collar numerous times on flights from the West Coast to Western and Central Europe. It is a very helpful item to use. I agree with the other comments about it's utility. I travel with it outside it's pack sack to lighten my luggage and keep it handy in my carry-on bag or purse.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   Sadly, this looked much better in print than it wound up being. Considering that I am 5' 10" with a large frame, I got the larger size, but it's far too big around, and one's chin slides into the crack. Also, the inflater valve is hernia-inducing, no matter what is done to open it. Both my husband and I took forever to inflate it. Not at all what we'd hoped for.

By Mary in September, 2008
•   I think this product works great, especially if you have an aisle or middle seat. It really does support your neck so you don't get woken up from your head tilting forward. Easy to inflate and deflate!

By Anonymous in September, 2008
•   Excellent! Made sleeping while sitting upright infinitely more comfortable. No sore neck, no mouth gaping open. Glad I had it for a 12 hour flight.

By Anonymous in August, 2008
•   It took a long time to blow it up. It also had a chemical smell, which has now dissapated. I wish it had a removable cover, one that would be softer, and could also be washed. It does seem to work as advertized, though, meaning that it holds my head up so I can sleep sitting up..

By Anonymous in July, 2008
•   Loved this pillow! My 13 hour flight to China would have been miserable without it. While I was awake I saw a lot of adjusting going on with the u shaped pillows... It inflates and deflates easily. I think when you are comfortable you don't care if people are looking at you strange..People with the face masks get more looks. and...I don't think I even snored!

By Anonymous in June, 2008
•   This is the absolute BEST travel pillow I've ever used. Your head will NOT TIP sideways or forward, because it's created to be a bit higher in the front. There actually IS more room from neck to chest and this is the only pillow that has taken that into consideration. Pared with eye shades and ear plugs, you can sleep like a baby on flights. I LOVE this product! TIP: Get the smallest size for your neck measurement...it has a velcro strap that will allow it to expand.

By Anonymous in June, 2008
•   I found this uncomfortable due to the seams which are very scratchy against the skin. I was disappointed, which I've never been with Magellan products before.

By Patti D., MI
•   My head tends to tilt further backward when I dose off, Komfort Kollar is the only neck pillow that has supported my neck. It's very adjustable to my thin neck and stays inflated nicely, no problems blowing it up nor deflating it. The only negative feature I find is the seams are a little abrasive against my chin after a long flight. I would buy this exact product when I need a replacement.

By Bernadette Y., HI
•   I loved this product while it lasted. It was very comfortable for the moments before I discovered a problem. I purchased the Komfort Inflatable Kollar brand new, and took it for the first time with me on a flight from Honolulu to London England, only to find out that it was defective. It could not stay inflated and had a small leak in the pillow. This experience made my travel very disappointing.

By Anonymous
•   I used my Komfort Kollar on a non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Paris. I've never been able to sleep on a plane but with the collar I was able to doze on and off. It has it's weak points. It's really hard to find the squeeze points on the valve in order to inflate. I will probably mark the points with a dab of nail polish for my next trip. I found the material against my neck was a little irritating. A removable cotton covering would be a big plus. However, the collar held my neck in a comfortable position. There was no slipping to one side, or falling forward. I was able to adjust the amount of inflation to give the perfect amount of support. I will definitely use it again.

By Anonymous
•   I purchased this pillow in a medium and used in on several long, long flights. It is comfortable, but I found it very hot to wear.

By Anonymous
•   I love this inflatable neck pillow for two central reasons: 1) when deflated it takes very little space in your carryon, and 2) it comes in sizes and the chart allows you to measure your neck and know exactly what size to order. The velcro closure lets you make it tighter or looser as you desire. Also, I like that it comes with a durable, flexible carrying case to protect it from punctures.

It is designed to fit snugly around your neck so that your head will not tip very much. So, when you let your chin fall forward or to the side, your head won't tip but your double-chins (if any) might bulge out. Don't worry - the cabin lights will most likely be out anyway, and other passengers will probably be more interested in watching their movies than your double chin.

I highly recommend pairing this collar with eye shades. When I had both, I fell asleep on the plane quite easily. But when I forgot to pack the eye shades in my carry-on, sleep was harder. For real effectiveness, use the neck pillow with both eyeshades and earplugs.

I have already strongly recommended this inflatable neck pillow to members of my family.

•   I travel monthly and have used this product for over 2 years. I absolutely love it. You do get some odd looks, but it's well worth it because I've never woken up with a sore neck. It allows your head to fall to the side or even forward and still wake up without stiffness or pain. Mine has never had a leak or any other problem. In fact, I lost it 2 trips ago and had to get a new one as soon as I discovered it was missing. This is an investment you'll be glad you made!

By Anonymous
•   The less room we get in our coach seats, the more valuable this pillow becomes. There's no way we can recline our seats these days; we are FORCED to sleep sitting straight up. This lets us do just that. Thank you!

By Anonymous
•   This doesn't inflate easily and takes a minute to figure out how to deflate it. Hopefully that will result in it staying intact during use vs the leaks I see some commenting on! Finally saw another reviewer advising to squeeze at nozzle and it then lets the air out. Looking forward to using it for the first time this fall on a long overseas trip.

By Anonymous
•   Anything but comfortable and impossible to inflate. Very dissapointing and not worth the price...not even close.

By Anonymous
•   I found this pillow to be a great help on many long cross country trips for about 6 months. It then developed a small leak along the seam and became useless. The leak started in mid-flight, so I don't think it was caused by incidental contact. It just gave out.

By Anonymous
•   I fly overseas several times a year and was impressed with the Komfort Kollar. It takes a little practice to inflate it but stays inflated well. I use the soft end of a bobby pin (hair pin) in deflate it...works great and quickly. However, mine must have been defective because after a few months, it developed a leak and I noticed about a two inch area that wasn't sealed well. (Didn't have as much 'seam' as the rest of the pillow) and developed tiny pin hole leaks.
I was so disappointed because I really liked it. (I even tried soddering that area, but it didn't 'hold'). I'd like another one but don't know what the chances of it 'leaking' again.

By Anonymous
•   I would not buy this product again. As many posters have stated, the Komfort Kollar is hard to inflate, and is not durable. It is unbearably hot on long haul flights.

By Anonymous
•   Both my wife and I have these pillows, and have recommended them to many people. We even have a link on our website to you! But my cushion recently developed a slow leak in it. I was quite surprised to read the preceding comment also complaining about a slow leak! Is this a manufacturing problem? Is there a warranty so that mine may be replaced? My disappointment over this flaw is undermining my enthusiasm for recommending the product so widely.

By Anonymous
•   I also noticed a steady slow leak in my kollar. I did try it on my last flight and it does make a big difference. It is much more comfortable than a regular non supportive pillow.

By Anonymous
•   I have the same problem as the previous responder. I have owned two inflatable Kollars and used them with good results, but the first one developed a leak, and now the second one is developing a leak as well. In addition, the second one is very difficult to inflate -- it seems to get harder every time I try, the valve is too hard to hold open. I also would like to trade it in towards a foam model, even though that would take much more room in my luggage.

•   I fully enjoy the use of your collar but is both difficult to inflate and also has a slow leak. It keeps deflating, over time, & requires blowing it up, again & again, over a long flight. I would like to know what I must do to either get a replacement, or get a credit toward your newer foam model ?

•   Like the other reviewer, I like the Kollar but it is hard to inflate and deflate because you must press just the right direction near the nozzle and THEN inflate or deflate. Mine does not lose air during the flight, however. Dots or other indicators re: where to compress in order to allow air in and out would be helpful. Nevertheless, if mine became unusable, I would buy it again! It is far better than other neck pillows I've tried!

•   The Komfort Kollar was purchased last fall. Within the first flight the felt-like vinyl developed a tear that exposed the black inflatible tube in the area where the strap attaches to the velcro. The tear did not affect the product's performance. Anyone who has had to send a product back for an exchange knows how inconvenient this is as well as having to pay postage on top of everything. Around the house was a can of Star brite Liquid Electrical Tape. It was brushed over the tear, stengthened the weak area, and now works perfectly. It's ready for its next flight.

  Great for overseas trips

•   A great product when I was given the middle seat of three on a 12 hour flight to New Zealand. It allowed me to catch a few hours sleep and not end up with my head on a strangers shoulder!

  Real comfort from comfort collar

•   Only thing I have found to keep my head from bobbing forward when I sleep. One leaked and Magellan promptly replaced it. I won't travel without one, so I keep a spare now.
