Ear plugs are a great way to block out the inevitable distractions while in flight. Do not wear them during take-offs and landings as they will prevent your ears from being able to equalize the pressure.

Excellent for noise-blocking and comfortable for long-term use
By K C., VA

I use these earphones on long flights. They are good at cutting outside noise (even missed announcements). The foam is comfortable enough to keep in for hours without irritation. Comes with a 2-prong adapter for plugging-in to the plane's audio system.

Best ear buds ever

These are the first ear buds that have ever survived a trip. And while not as noise-cancelling as a full Bose headphones set, they were more than adequate to a masque the roar of the airplane noise. Best earbuds I've ever had!

They work!

Excellent noise cancelling so I was able to listen to movies and music on the plane without cranking them up to top volume.

worth the money

these really work to block outside sound. Use them on the airplane all the time and they come with an airline plugin so you can use these earphones instead of the cheap ones the airlines supply. They are shown with an ipod, but I own an mp3 player with standard 3.5 jack and these earphones fit my mp3 player.

Best Earphones for Hearing and Not Hearing at the Same Time
By Sue D., IL
in March, 2009
I have tried dozens of headphones and ear buds that all claim to provide the best sound and drown out the noise of airplanes. My iPod has never sounded this good. At the same time, they very successfully drown out external noises. The only problem with these earphones is that when my 13-year old borrows them, I know she truly can't hear me when I talk to her while she has them on; she's not just making that up like she usually does. Small price to pay for a great listening experience.

Love these earphones!

Not only are the Comply earphones effective in blocking out noise, they are exceedingly comfortable. I use them with my iPod as well as on flights instead of the earphones supplied by the airlines. They are easy to clean as well.

These work GREAT!
By Ken S., MI
These are the third set of noise reduction earbuds that I've tried and they're the only ones that really worked. Neither set of tips seemed to work at first. Then I tried the regular tips again, but held them tightly in place for more than a minute instead of the recommended 15 to 30 seconds. That did the trick. I won't be travelling soon, so I tried them while running a paper shredder with music at a medium-low volume and couldn't hear the shredder at all. Sound quality is fine.

Terrific! Given their compact size, these earphones are a perfect travel companion. They certainly cancel enough noise to make your travel time more enjoyable. They come with a 2-prong adaptor so that using them during flight to watch a movie was an added plus.

I think these are great. I'm surprised that some have found the noise canceling feature to be sub-standard. I live on a very busy street and the NR10s cancel that noise almost completely even with the windows open. And they are comfortable enough that I can wear them all night. I'm ordering another set as a gift.

I bought these for my new iPod and absolutely love them! The foam tips are SO comfortable! I really love the volume control too! A great iPod accessory!

The foam tips were very comforable, and the volume control was convenient. However, the sound quality was far less than the ipod stock earphones. Also, the noise reducing quality was minimal. I returned my set.
