•   I purchased one 2 years ago and just purchased a new one in December 09 as a replacement. These are very comfy and durable. The strap will eventually stretch out a bit after a years worth of use. My first one even got scooped up in the laundry and went through the wash cycle by accident, but it remained intact and kept its shape with no damage. The only reason for purchasing the second mask was the strap issue which happened prior to the wash cycle incident....and I wanted a different color.

•   I keep coming back to Magellan's site to order more of these. As a migraine sufferer, I keep one for travel, one in the nightstand, one in each car's glovebox... you get the idea. My sons took them to college and love them. One was on a ship for a semester where the lights were never completely out... his eye mask was used every night! These masks encourage deep sleep even during daytime naps. It is all in the contour and the material. Excellent product!

•   This sleep mask is very comfortable over the eyes with enough room between the eyes and the mask to open your eyes without being crushed by the padding. My only issue is the velcro fastener which is directly in the back of the head and is uncomfortable when sleeping on my back as my head hits it directly on the spot.

•   This sleep mask is great as advertised -- light weight, room for eye movement, actually blocks the light...but as other reviewers have noted, it is a bit big. Not a huge deal, won't take long to alter the strap, but if the manurfacturer is looking at these reviews, it sure would be nice for the velcro to go a bit longer along the strap.

•   I have used sleep masks for years ever since eye surgery left me with very dry eyes. Masks help prevent more drying while I sleep because I like to have a fan running. •   Love the concave covers of the eyes so there is not pressure on the eyes, Lightweight. Used it on a 42 hours trip to INdoneisa on 4 flights. Blacks things out particualy well when sitting in airplane chair.

•   I love the mask itself, but the strap isn't so good for back sleepers. When you velcro the ends together, it creates a bit of a bulge that hits at the wrong place. The mask itself is great - room to move your eyes, but does a really good job at blocking out the light.

•   Where most masks would leave gaps, this once moulds perfectly around my nose and blocks out all light. It's accompanied me on countless flights but I also use it at home because sometimes I (gasp!) sleep with my eyes open and it keeps the light from interfering with my sleep. I also experienced a little bit of fraying along the edges, but it was nothing a dab of fabric glue couldn't handle. Couple this mask with a pair of great earplugs on a flight, and it really is "Lights Out!".

•   I like the shape of the product in that it does not put pressure on the eyes while sleeping. I do think it is rather expensive considering the fact that the "inside" fabric separates from the "filling" very soon. After separating, that layer of fabric tends to crinkle up when I use it.

•   I like this mask because it doesn't touch my eyelids. When it's seated properly I can open my eyes. I am a side sleeper and it does gap around the nose a little, but it's so much more comfortable than several others that I've tried I'm willing to put up with the bit of light that seeps in. •   The mask is soft to touch and wear. It fits well and is ok but not excellent for keeping out light. I'm very disappointed in the problem of the outer material separating from the foam after only a few months. There is no reason for such a poor quality product from Magellan's otherwise fine line of travel products. I still use it occasionally, but not as much as I did before the fabric separated. It's just a nuisance to put on now. MAGELLAN: use your corporate "clout" and get this problem fixed.

•   I bought two of these masks and with each of them within a month they began to fray apart at the nose. Little annoying strings would tickle my nose as I was trying to fall asleep. At first I thought this a fluke until it happened exactly the same way on the second one. Not recommended.

•   I work nights and also like fresh air in my bedroom so a sleep mask is essential. After years of long distance travel and cheap masks, this one was heaven sent! I've worn out two already and working on my third. I even gave one to a dear (91 year old)friend in the hospital who had trouble sleeping with the ambient light and it worked for her, too. When the fabric separated at the edges, I just took some whip-stiches over the affected area (across the nose) and it was as good as ever. My first two lasted for over three years of daily use. My Airedales like the masks as well! Flipper just stole one from under my pillow and took it outside! (She dropped it and left it as soon as I told her to do so.) I think see feels it would be better than a paw across the eyes when I'm reading in bed and she wants to sleep! Seriously, this is the best design I've encountered and highly recommend it for anyone who needs to block light comfortably.

•   Like your first reviewer I plan to order another, perhaps two. I liked the idea of the cups for the eyes without having foam next to my face as some eye masks do, but mostly I wanted to increase the amount of complete or nearly complete darkness because that is when the body produces melatonin, a hormone that plays a part in fighting neoplasia (new growths/tumors) and is involved in a range of other health functions in the body. Melatonin levels decrease with age, and the melatonin one's own body produces is best so darkness is good, or as one writer quipped in Science News about a decade ago, the reduction in melatonin production from too much light is "the dark side of light".What I didn't expect was that my dreams would become more pleasant, but they did so I guess that the ambient light perhaps was disrupting the quality of my dreams as well. Now, to convince equipment manufacturers that any lights they have on equipment that is on at night should be amber (the least disruptive color rather than blue (the worst) or rather than the second worst: those ubiquitous green lights. Thanks for carrying a fine product for a good price!

•   To avoid any indentation or flattening of your hair, just gently use your fingers to lift the hair to lay over the mask and you won't get pressure marks on the hair---you might even get a bouffant hair style by morning's light!

•   It works very well, and is the best one I ever had. One defect is that the fabric cover separates from the foam body after a while. The reason may be that I use it every night, even when am not traveling. In any event, I just ordered three of them.

•   I have a lot of difficulty sleeping on planes. This sleep mask is good, but I would not say great. I found the band to be uncomfotable after a while and had to loosen it, which caused light to leak in. Overall, though, I was satisfied with this product--I'm not sure there is anything better out there.

•   This mask is the best I have found by far . It doesn't press on your eyes, conforms to the face and stays in postion, even when sleeping on your side. It's great for travel but I also use it at home. I'm ordering a second one.

•   I am notoriously light sensitive -- silk sleep masks do nothing for me. This sleep mask is terrific. It is soft, it molds to your face, and it blocks the light effectively, a great help in hotel rooms where you can't figure out how to get the blinds completely shut.

•   I used this mask on a trans-Pacific flight. This completely blocks out light and is by far superior to the complimentary-type masks. Also, it does not constrict breathing through the nose. The soft material collapses easily, so I have no concerns packing it in a small pocket. Good product.

•   If you are going to have lazer surgery on your eyes, get this product! To prevent rubbing your eyes during sleep, the doctor will give you plastic half-balls to tape over your eyes. This works just as well (my doctor approved) and was definitely more comfortable. No pressure on your eyes at all! It will be the best under $10 investment you will ever make, and you can use it later in hotels or on the plane!

•   These are very effective. They don't press on your eyes like typical sleep masks. You will still have an unattractive mark pressed into your hair if you wear them for 4-8 hours, but that may be inevitable.

•   Throw all those other useless masks you have out and buy this one. You could fall asleep outside in the middle of the day with this mask...it does NOT press on your eyes and is so soft and fits around the bridge of your nose instead of pressing on it. Get this!

•   Unfortunately I am very sensitive to light in my sleep patterns so have used a sleep mask for several years .. as well as while sleeping on planes. I've been quite pleasantly surprised to find that for whatever reason my sleep has been deeper and more refreshed since using this mask .. the REM sleep? I'm not a scientist so I don't know why .. I just know I'm ordered another one!

•   I bought three sets of these eyeshades for my family and me and no one was happy with them because the straps were too short. Otherwise they would have been fine. I had to replace with another brand.

•   This mask is great because it allows you to open and close your eyelids under it. BUT the the fabric separates from the foam inside, leaving the fabric loose which may then begin to dangle, tickling your face and not fit your face as well and not allow your eyes to open under it as well, which defeats the purpose. This has happened on both pair I've had and I really wish they'd make these things to last longer than 6 mo. to a year. Very good design but poor construction. If you only use it when traveling it will probably last longer but with nightly use it doesn't last long enough.

•   Very good, apart from the fact the elastic looses its form fairly quickly making the fit worse and worse until it ends up round your neck by the end of the night. This isnt thru excessive washing either.

•   I also love this mask but as another customer mentioned, the fabric separated after I washed the mask a few times following instructions. I still use it and it works well, but I'll probably have to buy more to replace it.
