New Digital Luggage Scale helps prevent overweight luggage charges. This compact scale weighs luggage up to 100 lbs or 44 kg, so you'll know instantly if your bag exceeds the airline weight limit. And it couldn't be easier to use! Just lift your suitcase, wait for the beep, set it back down, and read the weight on the large digital display. Takes 2 AAA batteries, not included (6 x 3½ x 1"; 8 oz)

•   For those who complained that this digital scale gave an inaccurate reading compared to the scales at the airport - I can't say if this scale was inaccurate or not. But it is worth noting that the airport scales are not always accurate. I have seen cases where bags were weighed prior to going to the airport at one thing and then weighing differently in the airport - to be specific, it was requested that the bag be weighed again on a different scale and a third number was gotten. When this wa

•   I have to say that the company or person that invented this scale was a genius! With the airlines charging passengers high airfares and "Extra" charges for everything and anything else, this luggage scale will eliminate the airlines from charging you a MINIMUM of $25.00 for over weight luggage. Great item! - Sherry P., NV

•   This is a great tool and highly recommend to airline travelers. It works well and helped us divide our suitcases to meet airline standards. The airline ticket agent commented how well we had done in getting our bags under the 50 pound limit. Well worth the money.

•   Very handy product, I use it a lot as the airlines are now stricter with the weight. I have just given my first one as a gift and ordering one more for myself again.

•   This is the greatest travel gadget on could wish for while using air travel these days -- sufficiently light, easy to use, absolutely accurate and reliable. I have been using it now for about two years, and I have never had an overweight problem at check in. - Fred S., IT

•   It's the first thing I pack, would never travel without it!! Much better than the cheaper scale that doesn't beep and record weight like this one. I might consider the new "easy grip" model (item #KT101), though, because we are having a little trouble with the green handle on this model (but that's understandable since it's been a million miles and weighed bus loads of luggage... literally!). A great product, would definitely purchase it again.

•   This is fantastic. We travel extensively and are always pushing the limit of baggage weight restrictions - this is the perfect solution to the problem. Easy to use and compact enough to pack for the return trip home! Well worth the price! - Ada L., CA

•   I haven't had to repack luggage at the curbside check-in since I bought this. I can check all the bags for my family of four the night before I travel and I take it on every trip.

•   I've used a similar scale for a number of years but always had trouble actually reading the numbers while trying to hold a 40 lb. suitcase high enough in one hand - it really always was a 2-person job. This scale allows for reading the display after the suitcase was put down again - a big plus! However: 70 lbs. international weight limit?! These times are long gone! Try 50 lbs. instead!

•   This was worth every penney! We had one suitcase over the 50 lb. limit & 2 suitcases below. We had plenty of time at the airport, so we were able to repack & saved the $50 overwight charge we'd have incurred. Another couple watching us repack asked if they could borrow it. They did & saved themselves the $50 too. I gave them the website info & they said they were going to order one when they got home since it had already saved them money!

•   Love this product. I was able to fly out with peace of mind. Just make sure you take it with you for the return trip as I bought too many things on my trip and was 8 pds over on the way back in one bag and 10 pds under weight in another bag. Had no time to repack so I had to pay $50! This scale is worth the cost.

•   I was excited to replace the older version sold by Magellans (which was too bulky to pack and hard to read) with this updated version. However, when I made sure my suitcase total weight would be under by the 50 lb. maximum allowed per bag by one pound, the airline found it to be 4 lbs. OVER that limit - an error total of FIVE POUNDS or 10% - NOT good! It cost me a $50 PENALTY (twice what this item cost me) at the check-in counter and I am now afraid to trust it or use it.

•   Wrap the Scale in bubble wrap to protect it. It was OK when I left for FL but on departing FL the digital scale would not work - the LCD display dead/scrambled. And new batteries didn't help it. I'd rather have the non-digital scale.

•   This seemed like a great idea, as I am always right up against the weight limit for my frequent international flights. However, the scale worked properly for only a week or two, after which time it started displaying partial numbers or no numbers at all, even with several rounds of brand-new tested batteries.

•   The scale does not specify accuracy. Your reading may be quite different from actual weight. - George B., MA
