NEW Seiko Global Atomic Travel Alarm Clock w/Flashlight keeps perfect time and has a built-in, automatic LED flashlight. This new, easy-to-set alarm clock picks up radio signals from atomic time transmitters in the United States, Europe, Japan and the Far East, adjusting automatically to each region where there is a transmitter (it functions as an accurate quartz clock in other countries.) A handy flashlight built into the base shines a bright blue LED light whenever you pick up the clock and turns itself off when you set it down. Has soft backlighting, five-minute snooze, date, calendar and temperature display. Includes four AAA batteries. (4¼ x 2"; 72 dB)

Product Reviews

•   This little clock works great, with one major exception. The automatic time & date setting feature does not work in northern Europe, as we found out on a recent trip to Sweden.

•   I purchased this clock because of its ability to change to the correct time zone in most parts of the world that I travel to. I like it so well that I now use it on my bedside nighttable. I have not had any trouble with the atomic clock sync and it does not do what the previous commentor had trouble with.

•   I wrote the review about the Seiko Travel Clock spontaneously resetting the time zone. For a long time now my clock has maintained the correct time zone. I now recommend this travel clock for its convenience and reliability. - Philip D., CA

•   I too have owned two of these clocks and have also had the problem of its resetting the time zone periodically on one of them. So far the problem hasn't appeared on the second one, but it took about 6 months for it to start happening with the first one.

•   I bought this radio-controlled travel clock because of the flashlight in the base that turns on when the clock is lifted. However, the clock periodically resets its time zone from Pacific to Eastern when it resets itself at night to the signal from the atomic clock at Boulder, Colorado. The other Seiko travel clock that I bought does the same thing, something no other brand that I own ever does. I recommend that you avoid the Seiko brand when buying a radio-controlled clock. - Philip D., CA
