  Just so-so
By Lisa V., SK in October, 2011

•   These socks are a little thick and so they had trouble drying overnight. I wrung them in a towel and that really helped, but I couldn't depend on them being fully dry by morning. They did stand up well to hand-washing and didn't get stinky, so I liked that about them. A thinner version would be better.

  Best Socks

•   I bought these socks to wear to Disney in Nov. They are very soft, have a lot of stretch and are not binding at the top. And best of all they don't slide down into your shoe. Very comfortable.

  Damn good socks (!)
By Ronald S., WA in August, 2011

•   I have been wearing X-Static travel socks for over five years, They are perfect for travel: light and comfortable, dry, easy to wash and dry overnight. These socks also hold up well, enduring heavy walking by a heavy man. Between black and beige, they go with anything! And, they are American made.

3" too long in the foot
By Judith D., CT in August, 2011

•   Too long (by 3 inches!) I wear a woman's 7 shoe. I was told to get medium. They are cushy but I could never get them in any of my shoes. The toe of the sock was 3" beyond my toes. I gave them a 2 star because they are cushy if you have long feet.

  Fox River Socks
By Tom L., CA in June, 2011

•   My experience has been the same as many other cusomers who have reviewed these Fox River socks.

The Fox River socks are excellent. They are comfortable and well made. They last a long time. I wear practically nothing else at home.

However, the Fox River socks are not suitable for travel if you intend to wash your socks yourself because they do not dry fast enough. In my opinion they should not be called "travel socks" for this reason.

  Travel Socks for everyday
By Anthony G., PA in February, 2011

•   Tried these socks when on a trip to Asia and found them so comfortable that I use them whether on the road or home.

  Good quality socks
By Elsie C., OR in January, 2011

•   These socks should hold up well on our 6-week trip throughout Europe. They fit well and are extremely comfortable.

  Cushiony socks
By Leslie L., GA in July, 2010

•   I bought these socks for a trip to western Ireland that involved a lot of walking. They were the most comfortable socks I've ever worn with lots of cushioning.

Very good, but they don't dry fast.
By David A., CA in July, 2010

•   I purchased these for a trip to Sweden. Hotels there don't have laundry machines, so one must wash things in the bathroom sink and hang them to dry. The Magellan's Travel T-shirts and Briefs dried completely overnight and were ready to wear the next morning. Not so these socks. These required two overnight periods to dry (and had to be carried damp in the suitcase during the day). To be fair, Magellan's doesn't claim that they will dry fast.

Otherwise, these socks are very comfortable.

•   These socks are confortable and can be worn for at least two days in a row . However they are not quick dring as advertised.

  Great sox
By Donna Y., TN in January, 2010

•   These sox have outlasted any others purchased. My husband is hard on his clothes and shoes, but these have performed beautifully, and he likes them.

  very comfortable
By jon r., IL in December, 2009

•   These are very comfortable. Not as quick to dry as I expected, but faster than cotton. I washed them in a hotel sink several times, rolled them in a towel and stepped on it to get most of the water out, but they were never dry by morning. Otherwise they are great, the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is cause they are advertised as quick drying.

  Dry quickly
By Dale M., OH in October, 2009

•   Socks felt good with walking shoes and dried overnight in hotel bath (if rolled tightly in bath towel to remove water before hanging up). Note that this is a substantial weight sock, so not best choice for a hot climate.

  Best ever socks
By Terrald J., CA in July, 2009

•   These are especially good because there is no toe seam as well as lightweight.

  Great socks
By Brian O., CA in June, 2009

•   Felt good, looked good, took a beating, washed easily, and were ready the next morning. I went running daily in Europe and wore another pair for exploring the cities during the day. Always had a dry pair ready the next morning. It was nice to cut down on how much I had to pack.

  They do the job!
By david d., MO in June, 2009

•   Bought some of these for a trip to Italy where we did a fair amount of hiking. They held up very well and were comfortable. They are fairly lightweight and take up less space in my suitcase than my heavier hiking socks. I was concerned with how fast they would dry because we planned to wash them in the sink. The trick here is to roll them (and anything else you hand wash) in a towel and then squeeze the towel. That really gets the extra water out and the socks were dry overnight.

  Best socks on market period!!
By Max W., AR in April, 2009

•   I have a large foot and find these are the most comfortable socks on the market.......period!! My feet feel great after long days of standing, fighting airport lines and my feet don't sweat or attract odors during the day. They are lightweight and are just comfortable to wear. I stock up on them hoping they never quit selling this product. These socks and their lightweight comfortable clothing are one of the main reasons I shop Magellan's.

I agree with Anonymous of August 2008
By Thomas L., CA in March, 2009

•   These are excellent casual socks for wearing at home where you have a washing machine and dryer. They are not so good for traveling if you want to wash them by hand. These are not especially quick to dry.

  Best socks around
By Anonymous in December, 2008

•   I purchased these socks because the ad said they help prevent blisters. Prone to that painful problem on the bottoms of my feet, I thought, why not? I tried them in a 5K race last weekend and no blisters! Then I tried them with shoes that always produce blisters and once again-no blisters. Highly recommend. Even bought black ones for work!

  Dry Fast and last forever
By Anonymous in November, 2008

•   I bought some of these socks in 2003 for a trip. Found they wash and dry quickly and wear longer than any other I have had.

By Anonymous in August, 2008
•   Very comfortable and of great quality, however they are not at all quick drying as Magellan's states.

By Diana C., TX
•   The only socks my husband can wear - he has had 6 pair since June of 2006 & we added 3 more pair IN 2007. They are not worn out & before he was going through socks every 3 month & have foot/toe problems. These sock have solved all problems.

•   Best socks I've ever owned!!! Highly recommend. Great comfort, excellent dryness, perfect sock!

By Anonymous
•   These socks are excellent for travelling or walking long distances. I have foot problems which cause cheaper, thinner socks to tear near the toe area, but these socks have held up for months. They're also extremely comfortable!

By Anonymous
•   my new favorite socks, i have thrown away all my others and bought six pairs of these. extremely comfortable and they truly do not smell after many days of continuous use. (i tested them for over a week!) excellent product.
