Feather-weight On Tour Pant has pockets aplenty and 40+ UPF protection.
Magellan's exclusive. For adventures in the urban jungle or off-the-beaten-path, our smart safari-style pants are supremely comfortable and pack to practically nothing. The pants convert to capri length with a button tab, and feature elastic waist inserts, two side pockets (one of which has it's own zippered pocket), and a small hidden security pocket at the waist. Made of nylon.

Our On Tour Pants have a UPF rating of 40+ to protect you from the sun, and adjustable tab fasteners covert them to capris for wear on hot, muggy days. They have a flat waistband with side elastic for a comfortable fit, and on-seam pockets.

• I purchased a pair of these pants recently for a trip to Spain. I was very pleased with the fit, the look, and how easily they packed. I was surprised, and disappointed, though, when the material "pilled" after several wearings.

Being able to roll up the pant leg is very helpful. I'm 5'4" and the pants are a little bit long but rolled up fit great. I'll just have to make a hem.

• Paired with the On tour Shirt it makes a great all year around travel outfit. Wore the outfit in May on a Panama canal cruise and being able to change the pants to capris and tabbed roll up sleeve just added to their light weight flexibility.

• I took these pants on a 4 week trip to Italy. Since we traveled by train we took very little clothes. I washed them in the sink and they were dry the next day. They looked great. I carried my ID & credit cards safely in the little zippered front pocket. The pants could use more of these pockets for travel and why not offer petite sizes!!!! None of the pants I ordered came in petite.

• These are lighter than I expected (not necessarily a bad thing) - so not suitable for winter/cold-weather wear. I bought them for late-winter touring in Normandy, so they probably won't work for that. However, they are very light-weight, fold down to practically nothing in terms of space, so I'll take them anyway. They run long in the inseam, and I'm short, but the side button-tab on the hems work to counteract that for me. Love the color, fit and fabric.
