We gave it a slightly longer body for better coverage, and side waist tabs for a tailored fit. And with your essentials stowed in the pockets, you can remove the vest and send it through airport x-ray screening fully loaded! Made of comfortable cotton/nylon/spandex.

The Ultimate Travel Vest has 16 exterior pockets to hold all your essentials. Five of the pockets are zippered, four are gusseted for easy in and out, and there is a rear pocket large enough to hold a water bottle, umbrella, maps, or small guide book. The simple V-neck style looks great with a T-shirt or a collared shirt.

• I like this vest for traveling. I am planning a trip to Africa and it will be perfect for my journey. The many pockets are great and using them leaves my hands free from the need to carry a purse.

• This is the first time I have ordered from Magellan. Very impressed with the service and the products I ordered. I will order again for sure. The vest is great quality and fits well. Have not used it yet as I bought it for a future trip. I will not need to carry any additional bag because it all fits in the pockets. After I got the vest, my daughter ordered one for herself.

• I love the many pockets and the oodles of choices for keeping my stuff at hand. I dislike backpacks and rummaging through them, but like my hands free. Sometimes I use a tote, but this time I didn't even want that on my shoulder during tours and hikes.

This vest kept my stuff where I wanted it, stayed neat and tidy and wasn't too hot on the really warm days. I love the collar free style and wrinkle free fabric. The black has a softness to the color that made it versatile. I bought the tan one for my next trip and expect it to be just as wonderful!!!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

• I wore this vest with a light sweater and pants and it was great. The pockets are smartly designed and there are many - of varying sizes. What I particularly liked was the pocket sized to fit a boarding pass etc. That was a great surprise.

I think it is dressy enough that it doesn't look like a hunting vest, but it is just as useful. Ordered black and khaki. I like both.

I have washed the black, on cold, gentle in the machine. I dried for a short while then hung to finish drying. Didn't need to iron or etc. So, that's a plus.

One consideration is that the vest is heavy if you really fill up the pockets- like any pocket vest.

This Travel Vest is way beyond my expectations in quality, fit, and design. It is so VERYU feminine looking (for you fashion conscious ladies) The side tabs give the much needed waistline look. I highly recommend this as the ONE and ONLY travel vest you will ever!. I bought the light tan color and it is gorgeous. I am now considering the black. ( maybe this will someday be made in other colors?? I would be interested.) GREAT for all those cruises, car trips, flea marketing, vacationing plans and even just shopping trips to the Mall. I highly recommend this Ultimate Travel Vest.

• This is a nice vest, althought it's a bit heavy. There are no interior pockets for tickets, etc. It's too heavy for warm-weather travel. I returned it for a different item.

heavy and bulky

• I really wanted to love this vest, with the v-neck and snaps, longer length, and the front pocket with the vertical zipper. And I've been searching for a black vest for years. But when it came and I tried it on, it didn't work for me. The fabric is heavy and stretchy, and the flaps and layered pockets make the vest bulky. It weighs more than my travel coat and 6 ounces more than older magellans vests that I own. The weight of the many-layered front pockets causes the vest front to sag unloaded. Most of the pockets are too shallow to be useful. There's no inside pockets, no rear pockets, no mesh lining to use for adding pockets. I'm thin and petite, and it might work better on a larger gal than me. It's a nicely made vest that might work fine for someone who has an hourglass figure and likes soft heavy stretchy fabric.

• This is my second vest. One in each color. I love it. It acts as my purse so that my hands from free to use my camera or carry other things. I feel that everything so very secure next to my body. Recommend it to any active person. Just frees you up.

need bigger pockets

• I like the fit of this vest and it is more stylish than my old vest (now used just for hiking), but I was very disappointed in the pockets. The hand-warmer pockets were hard to get my hands in and out of (I have big hands, but still....). There were many little pockets I had no idea how to use; they are simply too small to be useful. I miss having a deep inside pocket to hold tickets, boarding passes; the sideways zippered pocket just didn't work for me.

• Nice fabric and fit but there are no inside pockets for the really important stuff and at least one of the pockets should be much bigger to carry a guide book. or a sandwich The pockets are all quite small, even though there are lots of them.
