  Everything it claims to be!
By LB K., TX in March, 2012

•   Our Windpros have proven to be powerful protection against strong Texas storms just when we needed them. One of our favorite investments!

  Sturdy and well made
By Alicia C., BC in July, 2011

•   I have bought lots of smaller sized umbrellas because some way or another I end up breaking or losing them. This umbrella feels very sturdy yet still light weight compared to most umbrellas I've bought. I also like the open and close button feature. I'm going to be more conscientious about not losing this umbrella this time around.

  Great Umbrella
By Ginger R., UT in June, 2011

•   I was in France for a month and it rains all the time, but is unpredictable. I always had this with me and it was great. It holds up in the wind and has a great pop out and close feature.

  Nice Umbrella
By Donna W., MD in May, 2011

•   I'm replacing a wind-proof umbrella I'd had for 15 years! This one seems smaller but is lightweight and fits in my purse.

  Best umbrella
By Joan L., NY in January, 2011

•   This is a replacement of a windproof umbrella I have had for about 15 years. The first one I own the end of one of the spoke just came apart and I do not know if it can be repaired, as I said before I owned a windpro for over 15 years and I am looking forwarw for this one to last me as long.

  Very Handy
By Royal E., SC in January, 2011

•   This is a great umbrella. The open and close feature is handy. Don't have it in your carry on when leaving the Dominican Republic as they will confiscate it ????

  Windpro Umbrella
By Linda F., CA in December, 2010

•   This umbrella is amazing. Lightweight, easy to use, and I don't get wet trying to close my umbrella while getting in the car. No more fumbling, just push a button. I haven't been in windy weather with it yet but it feels very secure. I love it! (Just need a dark purple color and it would be perfect.)

  New WindPro versus old model
By Bill T., OR in November, 2010

•   I tested the new WindPro for one hour during a windy rain storm on 11/17/10. Wind gusts briefly inverted the canopy four times without damaging the support ribs. The new WindPro survived the wind as well as my 5-year old ShedRain. The new WindProhas a few disadvantages over the older model. Its 2"-long handle is harder to hold than the older model's 2.75" handle. Also, the new model's handle has an awkward oval shape compared to the old model's round shape. The 38" diameter lanyard on the new WindPro is too small for a man's hand. It is especially difficult to use while wearing wool gloves. The old RainShed model had a comfortable 5.4" diameter lanyard. The wraparound outer strap used to compact the collapsed canopy is not close enough to the handle. Too much of the collapsed canopy flares outward when the strap is taught. The strap on the older model collected more of the canopy because it was closer to the handle. One section of each canopy rib is made from plastic on the new WindPro while the older model used steel. Despite the plastic substitution the new WindPro survived four canopy inversion from strong wind.I would be willing to pay a higher price to get the quality of the older ShedRain.

  Great umbrella
By Jean B., PA in October, 2010

•   Ordered this after my (new) umbrella of a well-known brand turned inside-out two years ago on a damp day in Ostia Antica, the excavated seaport of ancient Rome. Not only did your umbrella eliminate this problem; it also has good coverage, is lightweight, and dries out quickly. Re the button on the handle which both opens and closes the umbrella: one must manually collapse the handle completely after using the button to close the fabric and ribs. Otherwise, one cannot open the umbrella again.

  Excellent
By Sandra T., IL in September, 2010

•   So far so good. Haven't used it in a strong wind yet, but it opens and closes nicely.

  Easy Use of Umbrella
By Melvin M., NC in August, 2010

•   This umbrella is the best I have ever owned. It is so easy to open and close with a push of a button. I like the fact that the wind can't hurt it by turning inside out. I would recomend this product.

  Good Product.
By Thomas D. T., NY in July, 2010

•   We live South of Buffalo NY; at times our Weather can be mean & nasty to Umbrella's. The past few Days, High Winds & Rain have done nothing to this Umbrella ,but get IT WET!!
The Big Test will be this Winter, and I don't see a problem.

  California Gal
By Marty D., CA in July, 2010

•   This is a beautiful umbrella! However, I live in Southern California
and everyone knows it hardly ever rains here. So I'm waiting to use
it until the big day!! (If it EVER comes!)

  great umbrella
By Rita M., PA in June, 2010

•   exactly as described: convenient, sturdy, compact - love it.

  Great Umbrella
By Linda M., TN in March, 2010

•   I recently ordered the Windpro Flatwear Umbrella. This is the second one I have purchased. (I lost the first one.) I highly recommend this umbrella for it's ease of use and it packs really well since it is a flat style. It performs really well as advertised in strong winds and rain.

  Flatwear Umbrella
By Elys M., NC in March, 2010

•   I love it! It is the best overall. I have been looking for one that can would be compact and yet made to sustain wind....this one would do it. It is a bit expensive but it is worth the price for the quality you receive. I would recommend this to anyone.

  Instant inversion
By Richard O., MA in March, 2010

•   Just got two of these, based on the reviews. Took them out for the first walk a week or so during windy weather here in Boston, and inside of 3 minutes the umbrella had inverted. Not good. I was able to get it back right way up, and it seems ok, but I'm not in love with this. This replaced one that I had from Magellan a few years ago and was ok, not great., but better than this.

Broke on the third use-auto close a hassle
By Sadie S., IL in March, 2010

•   Not a good umbrella! Mine turned inside out on the third use in moderate wind and broke. Even unbroken, the auto close function is a pain. It only closes the canopy, you must retract the shaft manually. Not a big deal, except that once you close the canopy you cannot reopen it AT ALL, until you retract the shaft. The shaft is tight, and takes both hands to close. If you duck inside for a moment you must put down anything you are holding, close the shaft, then you can reopen the umbrella.

  One of the best available.
By August N., MD in January, 2010

•   I have given this particular product as gifts before and they have always been well received. The are easy to use, very compact yet open to a desirable size and very durable. This time I actually ordered an extra one to have available as a gift should one be needed unexpectedly or for an emergency replacement.Everyone in my family now has one so I may use extra one to replace the one in my vehicle unless a gift situation comes up soon.

  Windpro
By Anonymous in January, 2010

•   I was disappointed with this umbrella. It is supposed to be windproof, but the first time i used it in the rain, it flipped inside out.

Not as good as the WSJ would have you believe, but not bad...
By Sara H., PA in October, 2009

•   I liked the size and the fact that it closes as well as opens with the push of a button. It's lasted me more than a year with frequent use. However, it turned inside out in a gale in La Rochelle & has often threatened to do this again - only now I know how to watch out for it. Nice size, ok if wind is not too strong. You have to push it against something to retract its handle, before reopening it. This can be a hassle also. I will look for a better one...

  Singing in the rain!
By Jeffery A., FL in August, 2009

•   Best products - great prices.

  Windy City, Chicago
By Donna C., IL in April, 2009

•   I purchased this for my son-in-law who has to walk from train to his law office. He is hard to buy for. But he told me this umbrella is the best one he has ever had! I may purchase one for myself as I have a short walk from parking lot to office in Florida (hurricane alley!) and lots of summer storms. I just moved from Illinois to Florida.

  Compact, sturdy umbrella
By Valerie L., IN in March, 2009

•   I ordered 2 of these umbrellas because they were small and my sons wanted to carry them in their backpacks for bad weather school days. They are very sturdy umbrellas that are a nice travel size. I am hoping they will let me have the umbrella for MY bag, and will take my older one instead! It has the windvents at the top, which should make it durable in strong wind - haven't tested it yet. The button that opens it is also used to close it - a nice feature for small or busy hands.

  Windpro - Not!
By Lissa G., IL in March, 2009

•   I've used it twice and both times, anything from a breeze to a gust caused it to flip inside out. On the good side, it's compact and opens and closes easily.

  great umbrella
By NJ in January, 2009

•   this is probably the best wind resistant umbrella i've used. however, i live next to a river and have to deal with windy gusts on a daily basis and there have been times that this umbrella has not held up well.

  As Advertised
By NY in January, 2009

•   This umbrella has worked well for me in the rain and wind of NYC. It fits in my Tumi small computer bag lengthwise and has stood many business trips to rainy windy Boston on the Shuttle. I misplaced mine for a couple of months and sturggled as comperably priced alternatives broke after one or two uses. Luckily I found mine and
I am about to order another one as a spare.

  Did not last long
By Anonymous in November, 2008

•   Unfortunately I read the reviews far too late. The umbrella turned inside out on a rainy, windy day in Washington DC and one of the plastic arms broke. It was an expensive umbrella to last through just a few rains.

The umbrella I have been waiting for
By Miyoko M., IL

•   It is great to have an umbrella which can stand for the sudden strong wind. After so many umbrellas were ruined by the wind, I am quite
exicited to stand in rain without worry.

By Tiffani B., NC in October, 2008
•   This umbrella REALLY IS worth every penny! It holds up well through the rain and wind without flipping out as regular umbrellas do. It's compact and I like the feature that allows the umbrella to collapse at a push of a button instead of having to pull it down to close it. My mother even got one because she enjoyed the ease of using mine.

By Louis D., PA in October, 2008
•   Very good product. Works well in opening and self closing. Shipment received promptly.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   This umbrella worked only three times, after which the mechanism broke and the umbrella would no longer open.

By Sam B., CA in July, 2008
•   Very disapointed in the quality of the componets used on the umbrella. All of the moving pieces are made of plastic, and the suporting arms on the underside are far too weak. The umbrella lasted only a few uses before one of these arms failed, leaving the crippled, but still usable. After a few more uses the rod shot out of the handle when I pressed the open button, shooting six feet away leaving me standing in the rain holding only the handle.

By Jacqueline C., TX
•   Unfortunately, this umbrella turned inside out on me and then would no longer open or close properly. In trying to make it work, it fell completely apart and is useless after only a couple of uses. I'm so disappointed and hope Magellan will stand behind it and at least give me a credit, if not my money back.

By Anonymous
•   I have no idea how this works in the wind but for those of us who get in and out of cars frequently, the beauty of this umbrella is that it not only automatically opens but also automatically closes, unlike most fold-up umbrellas. So you don't get soaking wet trying to close the thing.

By Anonymous
•   I live in downtown nyc, and this is the only umbrella to own here. Nothing is indestructible, but this is excellent, even in Tribeca winds.

By Anonymous
•   Useless, Turned inside out & broke first time used

By Anonymous
•   My time is too precious to worry about an umbrella. This one ruined my day. It was a gift, I looked forward to using it, I put it up and the storm blew the mechanism inside out and beyond retrieval. My boss was not happy to see me soaked and disheveled.

By Anonymous
•   Bought this and took it on a trip to Budapest in October 2006. We were caught in a surprise rainstorm and the umbrella turned inside out immediately. I had looked forward to trying it but was sorry I bothered. Hard to believe they can get get away with their advertising claims.

•   I gave my husband your vented umbrella as a present this summer, and by August it was history. It just did not hold up in a Washington, DC blustery rain. I was very disappointed.

By Anonymous
•   It didn't hold up in Seattle either! I am especially disappointed, because I bought this umbrella based on the positive review in the Wall Street Journal.
