  Withstood the Amazon rain
By Jan E., WA in April, 2012

•   I just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in the Amazon jungles of Peru. It's the tail end of the rainy season so I wanted a poncho that could withstand a driving rain and this one did the trick. The rains come quickly in Peru and I was able to pull it our and get in on in time for any downpour. The pocket on the front was convienient for my cameras and the size was large enough (but not too large) to cover me and my daypack. When the rains stop it dried quickly to be stuffed away for another time. It packs nicely in the built in pocket holder and it also stuffs nicely back into a pack when you just want to put it away quickly. It was tough enough to withstand the jungle and will be used for many more trips.

  Roomy, comfortable, highly functional
By Jennifer H., VA in April, 2012

•   Really happy with this purchase. It's obvious that a lot of smart thinking went into the design. The built-in storage pouch/front pocket is genius. Rip stop nylon is sturdy and also breathable. The hood is adjustable 3 ways and stays comfortably on my head without impairing my vision in really windy conditions. It's super roomy - and I'm 5 feet tall, so it falls just above my ankles but that's all right - more coverage for short people! I'm at Magellan's site right now to buy another one for my husband.

•   I wanted a poncho that would also cover my back pack & this does. Great that it comes in an attached case. Made well . Perfect for travel. No more getting soaked in the rain in those far away countries. A must have for travel.

  Good stuff.

•   This poncho is supposed to keep you dry in the rain. Well guess what? It does just that. And it fits very well and is easy to store. Folds up into a small package. It is just what I was looking for. Well worth the money.

•   Liked the first one so much I bought a spare to keep on my bass boat. Re-packs well. No complaints about any aspect and I have been rained on in several states.

  Great Poncho
By Elizabeth W., TX in October, 2011

•   I used this just about every day on a recent trip to Costa Rica (during the rainy season) and it was great. Kept me and my camera equipment dry during the heaviest of downpours. Highly recommended!

  Perfect protection against heavy rain!
By Barbara P., OH in October, 2011

•   After getting drenched in heavy rain wearing what I thought was a waterproof raincoat, I decided to try this poncho. It's perfect and has provided excellent protection from record-breaking rains this fall in Ohio. This is also ideal for travel. I highly recommend this poncho.

•   These are the best. They are light weight, keep me dry, and take up little carrying. I like they are available in a choice or colors.

  great packable rain poncho
By Lois B., TX in June, 2011

•   large enough to fit a large person or over bulky outerwear, and packs flat - great for travel!

  Not exactly waterproof
By Roberta C., VA in February, 2011

•   My husband and I wore these on a day of constant (but not driving) rain in Machu Picchu, over our daypacks and rain jackets. By the end of our six hours we were pretty much wet through; however, this could have been because we were also sweating-the ponchos didn't breathe, either. The short sleeves also meant that our forearms weren't protected. All in all, we both thought we might have been just as well off buying the cheap plastic ponchos the vendors were selling at the gate.

  Great Poncho

•   Works very well and handles easily.

Unisex waterproof Poncho stopped the rain as promised.
By Sheila T., VA in November, 2010

•   I bought this poncho to keep in my luggage. However, my son was the first to use it at a football game. We carried it later to a day of sight-seeing in D.C. Kept the rain off at the football game and was easy to roll back into the pocket for carrying around town.

  Makes being prepared so easy
By Melanie A., CA in October, 2010

•   I was walking in the rain in Yosemite. I probably looked smug.

Two guys beckoned me to take their picture in front of Half Dome. We had to hurry; the rain was getting heavier. They chose me for photographer because everybody else was dashing around without rain gear. Meanwhile, I was dry and fearless in my poncho.

Only thing I would change would be the range of colors it comes in. I'd like a vibrant purple one.

  Exceptional lightweight, packable rain protection
By Peggy C., MD in September, 2010

•   I purchased this poncho for travel to Alaska. It performed exceptionally well, protecting me from the rain when needed and folding into the pocket/pouch for "as needed" use.

  Great design details
By Susan M., OR in July, 2010

•   The fit is amazing. As a former clothing designer, I've often lamented the tendency of ponchos, when unzipped, to slip backward rather than stay in place, but this one stays put perfectly on your shoulders. Also, the hood is perfectly sized, not the oversize type you often find that ends up sagging into your eyes and blocking your vision. Every detail seems to have been well thought out, which makes wearing it a pleasure.

  all weathers!
By grace e., TN in July, 2010

•   sure it was great for the english rain- and my luggage fit under it too-- but it also proved useful at the mediterranean -as a 'blanket' sand just flicked off, plus a 'changing room', windbreak and sun shade too. extrememely superior to plastic versions. yes!

  Rain Gear
By Susan N., IL in July, 2010

•   Best rain gear I've ever had. Versatile, easily stores, great for traveling around in a mobility scooter!

I will probably order another one!

  Waterproof Poncho
By Wynette H., US in May, 2010

•   Excellent, practical and cleverly packaged! Ideal for windy as well as wet weather. The zipper, plus the draw string around the head really helps to keep the body dry but the sleeves and sides also allows one to keep reasonably cool in the tropics. Great, long lasting product!

  Great poncho
By Karin R., AZ in April, 2010

•   This is a great poncho to take when rain is a possibility. It's portable and provides good coverage. It's a little difficult to get back into its pouch, but eventually it gets there.

  Good Stuff
By James W., CA in April, 2010

•   Got our new ponchos and really like them. It has been raining ever since (off and on) I ordered them. They're good looking and keep us dry

  Unisex Waterproof Poncho
By Jackie J., CA in April, 2010

•   I ordered this poncho to have as back up for really rainy days. It really works well with coverage and it folds into its own pocket for storage. Magellan was able to very quickly send me a replacement one when I noticed a small defect. I would get this item again.

  this was IT
By Agnes G., CA in February, 2010

•   I truly, truly enjoy this poncho I had discovered in one of Magellan's catalogs a few years ago. It is always in my bag or in my car once the rainy season starts in Southern California. If i don't need to wear it I fold it and carry it with me when I go hiking, or walk on a beach, or when I run my errands.

  A great deal
By Rose C., MO in December, 2009

•   This was ordered for my BF, who wears 3XLT. It works great for him, covers him adeuately, and doesn't cling and get stifiling.

  Great Poncho!!!
By Diane C., NC in September, 2009

•   This is a real gem! I have used it several times already with all the rain we've seen here is the past weeks. Even is a major downpour it worked well. Dries quickly. I didn't find it difficult to fold back into its pouch as some people have commented on in previous posts. You just need to think about it the first couple of times and then it becomes quite natural and easy to fold. Will definitely always have this in the car or my luggage.

An absolute must for your travel bag! Be prepared!
By Karen T., CA in August, 2009

•   Wanted something to wear over my favorite warmest coat; last time I was in NYC in December, I was caught in torrential downpours. Though I am a very small size, this is perfect! On me, it's voluminous--but covers everything and it won't rip nor give at the seams when you sit down. Also, no funny odor here! Easy to stuff back in the pouch and zip up. The best travel investment.

  light weight good coverage
By Margery A., VT in April, 2009

•   This easily stuffs into its own pocket. No special folding is required; you can just keep stuffing until it's all in there. It's lightweight, and the length is ample coverage, even if you're wearing a small day pack or a heavy coat. (Well, for me. I'm 5'4"). The hood is functional and a great addition. It kept me dry in moderate rain. I have not tried it in a downpour.

  Gift a Great Success
By Susan K., NM in February, 2009

•   I had admired the Unisex Waterproof Poncho for some time and chose it for a gift for my partner. It was a huge success. We have a fierce rainy season and live on a ranch (i.e. horses, dogs, etc. to feed). Will get one for myself eventually. Thank you for a great product.

Great Travel Poncho, but how do you fold it into pocket?
By Scott B., WA in February, 2009

•   This is a superb travel poncho. It has been in my breifcase for a couple of years for emergencies, and I pulled it out and used it on a business trip yesterday, to fend off some unexpected rain.

Works great, but how the heck do you return it to the zipped pouch, that is sewn to the front of the poncho?

By Carole C., FL in October, 2008
•   This is the third poncho that I bought from you. The first one I bought for me and took it on my trip to London and Paris in May. The other ponchos I gave to my children. I ordered another one and a raincoat because of the ease of packing and carrying in your car for rainy emergencies. They truly are waterproof. I have tested them out.

By Diane J., NY in October, 2008
•   We used the poncho in torrential monsoon rains in Vietnam - they kept us dry, were easy to take on and off and repack in the attached pocket. We plan to take them on all our vacations from now on.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   I like the light weight of the poncho. It also covers a large area on the person. You can carry them in your purse in case of rain.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   These ponchos are fabulous. They are large enough to cover all carry baggage including camera equipment, but fold up small enough to fit in a pocket. We use them for football games in inclement weather to keep us nice and dry.

By Carol M., NY in September, 2008
•   What a great poncho! I bought this one and a ladies version to compare before my trip to Scotland. This poncho was far superior. It has a brimmed hood to keep water off your face, easily fits into its own pocket and covers a person completely. I loved it, and if I hadn't left it on the bus after the Braemar Games, would still be enjoying it. Buy this poncho. It's terrific.

•   I have owned my poncho for over 5 years. It is great!!!! I am an educator and everyone at my school wants one. It's well worth the then $25.00 I paid.
