For the strength to hold all your wet laundry, forget those cute little suction-cup clotheslines. The Flexo-line holds up to 12 lb of wet clothes, thanks to its surgical-quality, natural latex rubber tubing which is woven in THREE braids (not the usual two). Just loop its ends around a doorknob, hook, shower head, or rod (it stretches to seven feet), then poke a corner of your wet garment in the tight braid to dry. No clothespins needed. 1 oz.

Product Features:

  • Holds up to 12 lb of wet clothes without pins
  • Three strands of surgical-quality, natural latex rubber tubing
  • Loops around a doorknob, hook, shower head, or rod
  • Will not snag delicate fabrics
  • Flexo-line may be washed in mild soap and water
  • With proper care, it will last for years

Related Travel Tip:

  • Quick Laundry
Bring a simple laundry kit with you so you can do quick washes in the hotel sink. A sink stopper, clothesline and packets of suds are very inexpensive compared to the cost of laundry services.

  • Time to Dry
If you wash your laundry in your hotel room sink, give your clothes as much time as possible to dry. Don't assume that everything will dry overnight.

  Very handy tool.
By Carol G., AZ in February, 2012

•   This has come in handy numerous times. Originally purchased one; recently purchased two more.

But it makes a great cat toy!
By Marianne Y., AB in January, 2012

•   I read all of the other reviews and I can't agree. Only the flimsiest of items did not end up in a soggy heap beneath the line when I tried in on a recent trip. Not what I had hoped for, but my cats really like to play with it!.

  Nice clothesline
By M.H. C., FL in December, 2011

•   It is light, compact and just the right length for most bathtub/showers. Even in really small bathrooms on cruise ships I've been able to string it a across a bathroom. I especially like that it is all rubber (some are made with fabric lines), so that I don't have to pack a wet line.

  useful and compact
By Karen D., DE in October, 2011

•   The only thing wrong with this dandy clothesline is that it has loops at both ends instead of hooks. To attach it to towel rods or door knob or shower rod, be sure to add 2 caribiners in your packing list.

  Great little clothesline
By Lisa V., SK in October, 2011

•   We used this nightly on a 16-day tour of Greece and Turkey. The line held clothes firmly with minimal wrinkles where we tucked in the clothes. I did bring 4 clothespins for more wrinkle-prone garments. The only drawback is that the line is pretty short. We will probably get a second one. Each person should have his/her own line. Great buy! Much better than others on the market.

  Great product
By Mike F., HI in October, 2011

•   The Flexo-line worked wonderfully, and has become a permanent part of my travel kit. My wife and I bought it and very effectively used the Flexo-line during our recent trip in the Middle East to dry our hand-laundered items. If I remember correctly, there was only one hotel bathroom where it wasn't practical to string the line between two points.

  TMB use
By M. H., MI in September, 2011

•
The Flexline was useful, only withe the addition of a carbiner to attach to structures,

The weight was a pluss.

  Flexo-line
By Nancy H., OH in August, 2011

•   No clothes pins. I've always carried clothes pins to hang wet items on clothes hangers. No more. The hotels where I used it didn't have a very good or no hook to attach it to. I put a half-hitch on one end around anything that I could in the bathroom and the other end on a door handle or what everelse was available. The line has a lot of stretch in it. This will stay in my traveling bag(s) it was very handy.

  Dry clothes
By Karen N., FL in August, 2011

•   Great product. Had to buy 2 caribeners to hang. Also , very difficult to stretch 20 feet as described.

  Loved it!
By Karen A., VA in July, 2011

•   It worked great !

  Awesome
By Anonymous in July, 2011

•   I put this thing to the test and stretched it out and hung heavy wet clothes on it as well. It did a good job holding and pinching.

  clothesline
By Stacie F., NM in June, 2011

•   We had to use this recently in Germany and it was great. Just wish it was easier to attach to things. We only had a showerhead and a towel bar in the bath. So that was a bit tricky but we manage.

  Very handy
By Veronica T., MA in May, 2011

•   Bought this one to replace a different clothesline that had died of old age.
How this one is different from my old one:
Feels slippery, like powdered doctor's exam gloves
The ends are big loops instead of hooks, so you need to find some kind of hooking device to anchor them
The braided bands held onto wet swimsuits, which surprised me

I would recommend this item. In fact, I bought one for my mom.

  Perfect
By Loranne B., AK in March, 2011

•   Definitely you should bring a caribiner with you if you use this as that greatly expands your hanging options. It is easy to use and works great. I have hung three shirts, two paris of pants, two bras, a swimsuit, and two pairs of socks with no problem (all soaking). I once had to hang it from the arm of the patio chair to the light fixture above the door because my rommies had their clothes EVERYWHERE else...as was previously metioned below, my roommates were jealous as well. Must have!

  Worth the buy!
By TIFFANY E., AL in February, 2011

•   I traveled for two weeks in New Zealand on a tour bus. A lot of people had to wash and dry and usually there were only two dryers so I hung my clothes. It worked perfectly. If you have a carabiner like someone suggested, you can hang up clothes anywhere. At one point, I hung clothes from a chair across to an ironing board because my roomies where hanging there stuff in the shower. BTW, my roomies were quite jealous of it. Buy a cheap carabiner.

  Great product
By Becky W., CA in December, 2010

•   I bought this for a trip to Italy in November. It worked great! It is sturdy, holds lightweight items like socks and underwear very well. I might suggest taking a small caribiner for clipping on one end to hold it in place on bathroom fixtures.

  Flexo-line to the rescue!
By Charley M., AB in November, 2010

•   I'll never travel on another European cruise line without this item. 2 Euros to launder a pair of underpants? I don't think so!

Great Product - Take 3 Caribiners
By B D., FL in October, 2010

•   We just returned from 10 days in Spain and the French Riviera were the Floxo-line worked great! I bought two based upon others' comments and took along 3 caribiners (the non-climbing variety you can buy at Target). I used one caribiner at each end and one to connect the two lines together. The towel rack in the bathtub provided a perfect hookup for the ends and the faucets for the middle. Later one caribiner fit around the sliding door and the other looped around a chair to finish.

  so simple yet so effective
By Suzanne B., FL in September, 2010

•   Ingenious....and no clothespins needed!

  Make good idea better
By Larry E., KS in September, 2010

•   Great product, but to improve the product I got two plastic hooks off my cargo net and it worked very well. I have two of these and hook them together for a longer reach.

  Great idea
By Jim L., GA in August, 2010

•   We used this almost every day on a 2 week trip. It stretched and held and could be used almost anywhere. Very pleased.

  Improvement suggestion
By Christopher G., ME in August, 2010

•   I have carried this for years and find it very useful. Sometimes, though, it is not easy to find a place to loop both ends securely. I have added a short length of insulated copper electrical wire (12 gauge is nicely stiff but flexible) to use as an alternate hook, and that makes it much easier to "deploy". I would suggest that the manufacturer consider adding this to the design.

  Great Invention
By Janet H., UT in August, 2010

•   The flexo-line made keeping us clean much easier.

A great line when supplemented with carabiners.
By Kristi W., AB in August, 2010

•   This laundry line works. The braided design does well in holding items such as underwear, socks, and shirts but pants are generally a little heavy. The line however is strong enough to hold pants if draped over top of the line. My one complaint or suggestion would be that the line should come with a small carabiner on each end (or at least one, as the other end can be tied by looping the line through itself).

  Flexo-line
By Jamie L., WA in August, 2010

•   Worked great - held t-shirts, socks, etc. with no problem. Couldn't hold a dress by twisting in, but I didn't expect that it would.

  Clothes line
By Josh M., TX in August, 2010

•   It worked.

  Great!
By Isis L., NM in July, 2010

•   The line worked great, and it holds an awful lot of stuff without straining much. Not needing clips was great! Just be advised that if you are traveling in a humid area that it will likely take several days for your clothes to dry in your bathroom.

  Flexo-line
By Melissa H., VA in July, 2010

•   Just returned from a whirlwind 11-day trip to Europe...used the line a couple of times with excellent results. I took along a couple of extra strong suction cups in case I had nothing to attach the loops to, but only had to use them once. Line worked just as advertised and my mother and I were able to have fresh clothing for the next day. Great product!

  Love the Flexo-line!
By Lori F., NJ in July, 2010

•   This is my second Flexo-line. I've used mine for years all over the world and purchased the second for my son's trip to Europe. It's handy, easy to pack and ingenious! I love that it requires no clips or pins and I've enjoyed finding create places to hang it! Wish you made a 20-foot version for my back yard!

  great product!
By kari c., NM in July, 2010

•   A great and innovative product - very compact and lightweight, and it came in SO handy on my recent trek!!

  Flexo-line
By Robert H., TN in July, 2010

•   Very clever design and works well when there are points in the bathroom that it can be conveniently attached to. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. But it is light and definitely worth bringing along on those traveling light-do your own laundry vacations.

Not as good as the old model
By Gaines B., FL in July, 2010

•   The line holds the clothes well...what there is of it. It is short and the loops on the end don't stretch to hook on things. The older model was a lot longer and had suction cups on the ends...much better.

  Ingenious invention!
By Donna K., FL in June, 2010

•   I think this little invention is mandatory for all who've learned to travel light. I had previously relyed on those strings in the shower/tub to dry our clothes. You can't leave home without this once you've used it!

  Great
By Patricia U., WA in June, 2010

•   This is such an easy way to dry laundry while traveling. There is no need for clothes pins. I highly recommend.

  laundry in Italy
By Barbara M., NC in June, 2010

•   My husband and I just returned from a 2 wk tour of central Italy with Amber Road Tours. We stayed 2-3 nights at each of our great hotels so I had time to wash and dry clothes. The flexo-line worked very well. We had to be creative about looping it around something - a hook might have worked better in a few cases. It is very sturdy and is ready to go again. Next time I might take two since we did fill it up very quickly, but it was adequate for the two of us. Loved not needing clothespins.

  No need for clothespins!
By Erika W., TX in June, 2010

•   Good product. The only problem is, that it needs a loop or hook on both ends to secure it in place. It only has a loop on one end and I had to attach a carabiner on the other end to hang it. Make sure you figure out a way to attach both ends before you get to your destination.

  Essential for Minimalist Laundry
By Paul Q., GA in May, 2010

•   If you want to do laundry away from home this line saves you additional purchases and packing. It stretches and holds clothes as advertised, though the more it stretched the less of a grip it seems to have. Beats plain rope and packing laundry clips, though.

One suggested I have would be to pack a pair of carbonators or aluminum rings (aircraft grade). Those increase the number of items the line can attach to without much more bulk (especially the rings).

  Another Good Idea
By Linda B., PA in May, 2010

•   I ended up not having to use this on my trip, but will use it at home.

  Flexo line for home use
By Jan M., BC in May, 2010

•   I live in an apartment and am using it every day in my bathroom for quick overnight drying over the batrhtub. Will adapt it for travel with longer elastic loops for tying around awkward features. Very handy

  Love It!
By Barbara D., IL in May, 2010

•   I looped the ends over the lamps on each side of the bed. I love the fact of the triple line so that it really holds the clothes. This will come with me on all trips.

•   Super product! Used it several times.

  Useful Product
By Jim B., CA in May, 2010

•   Well made, useful travel item. Lightweight. well designed and small to pack. Could be somewhat longer. Very happy to have made this purchase. Road Warriors- get one!

  Flexo o line
By Dave S., NY in May, 2010

•   This item needs a hook at the end because if you are on a cruise with a small bathroom and there is only a hook at one end to affix the loop on the other end has nothing to hold on. very limited to where I can attach it.

  Fills A Real Need !
By Fred G., NY in April, 2010

•   It's compact, but highly useful ! It's one of those things that you wondered how you ever got along without.

  Very useful
By Mona C., ON in January, 2010

•   Very useful for our trip our 3 wk trip to Europe, since we wanted to travel light. One line was good for 2 people.

  Won't leave home without it!
By Phyllis T., FL in December, 2009

•   This holds a lot of wet clothing without clothespins exactly as advertised and makes doing light laundry very easy in your hotel room. I do recommend carrying a shower curtain hook with it because it is not always possible to connect both closed loop ends to something. You can always loop one end through itself to make a noose and then the shower curtain hook can go through the other end's loop and hook over a towel bar, for example, that is above the end of the tub in many hotels.

  Great for Traveling Light
By Diane F., AZ in October, 2009

•   We used this on a 3-week trip to Italy, and it was great. We were able to travel with 2 small carry-on suitcases, and clothes that we could wash in the sink and hang-dry. The clothesline weighed essentially nothing and took up no room, yet stretched out and held a lot of clothes. The braided line worked wonderfully, as no clothespins were needed. It was the best thing we've found for traveling light. Highly recommend this product.

  Cruising down the ErieCanal
By Roxanne C., WA in September, 2009

•   Loved this line. Took up no space, weighed nothing, held socks and panties without clothes pins, nothing fell off. Highly recomend.

By Karen P., MD in September, 2009

•   Fabulous. Wonderful design, wonderful product.

  EZ Clothesline for travel
By Michelle B., PA in July, 2009

•   I recently used the clothesline for the first time while on vacation in Las Vegas. It hoooked on easily to the door knobs and towel rack in the bathroom. I love how it pinches the clothes so they stay put and there is no need for clothespins. It was great to dry swimsuits overnight.

  works surprisingly well
By david d., MO in June, 2009

•   This ultra lightweight, compact, and highly functional product works very well. Clothes really do slip in between the weaved "threads" and hold. The only challenge may be finding something to connect the ends of the line to. The ends are loops and need to be wrapped around something to create a taught line.

  Great item!
By Catherine S., HI in May, 2009

•   This definitely came in handy during my travels. A must when there's limited laundry facilities or when you don't want to spend a fortune on hotel laundry services.

  Great product
By Judith K., FL in May, 2009

•   We used this line every night in our hotel. We could always find a place to put it. We had bought the travel underware prior to our trip. This flexo-line allowed us to wash the underware hang it up and have it dried by the next day.

  Good for travelers!
By Kim D., OH in April, 2009

•   This clothes line is nice, I liked not having suction cups (which can fail). It was very easy to find places to secure each end. Very easy to use!

if you have hooks, this is great item
By mary r., LA in April, 2009

•   If you don't have hooks available in a shower, tub, outdoors or an inside area where there is not a drain available, it is a challenge. Very cleaver gadget that saves space and doesn't have clips which can break in transit.

  Amazingly Simple
By Judith B O., UT in March, 2009

•   Worked just as advertised. Very convenient! Another item to keep in my suitcase.

  Flexo-Line
By Mary F., NY in March, 2009

•   I've used this so much - this is my second. Everywhere from China to Paris, Amazon to Africa. I can always find something to hook it on, and the braiding means no clips are needed. Heavy things are better done elsewhere though.

•   I purchased this item because I am moving to EUrope where I don't want to pay for laundry! This item is durable and easy to store. I love it

  A very useful tool
By Anonymous in November, 2008

•   This thing is designed well and absolutely works as advertised. Very very easy to use. I'm making it a permanent resident in my suitcase.

  great product
By Cathie D., TN

•   I used this on a trip to Israel and Jordan. We stayed in nice hotels that had a line built into the shower, but I still used the flexoline because it works so much better that a regular line. Clothes dried much faster when hung through the line versus draped over the standard line.

By Helen L., CO in October, 2008
•   Even my husband who often scoffs at the travel gadgets I buy, loves this thing. It easily stretches the length of a tub and I've figured out how to attach it to almost anything. Only trouble is I left my first one in a bathroom in Spain!

By  M. in October, 2008
•   I really liked the flexoline. I was happy that I had bought two because one would have been to short for me to use outdoors in Italy. I ended up tying the two together and that worked fine. It held the clothes fine.

By Anonymous in October, 2008
•   Great product. Sometimes difficult to locate secure attachment points, but grips and holds clothes well.

By April C., BC in September, 2008
•   This is going to be a winner with me! I like to rinse out items and hate having to pack a small clothesline and pegs....the innovative design of the Flexo-line allows one stretch the line and loop the ends over doorknobs or taps and tuck damp items into the "braid" to dry, no pins. The Flexo-line coils up when you are done and takes us very little space in the suitcase!

By A.M. D., NC in July, 2008
•   I bought one of these two years ago and the latex disintegrated. Had to throw it away.

By Anonymous in July, 2008
•   I also used this to hang up clothes, including coats, when the closet was tiny or non-existent.

By Anonymous in July, 2008
•   This worked perfectly in conjunction with the Ex-Officio clothes/underwear that we bought from Magellan's. The perfect combination that helps you to pack less, with more room for souvenirs! Even my picky husband was impressed with this clothesline.

By Anonymous in June, 2008
•   This is worth the money. You would think any one of these would work but it isn't true. I bought a cheap one for my last European trip and regretted through three countries. The cheaper ones can't hold many pieces without drooping too far down to put more than four pieces on it. Your laundry tools are very important for overseas trips. They help you carry so much less and avoid HUGE laundry bills from hotels. Buy a good line. And don't forget compact laundry soap.

By Gail R., OK
•   I've tried other ways to drip-dry my socks, nylons, and undies and this is the absolute best. I haven't had to be too creative yet in securing the end opposite the shower head, I simply use a power suction cup hook. It's so reliable, I bought one for a friend.

By Anonymous
•   BUY THIS if you do wash, great for socks and underwear and handles the foam hangers, too....easy to hang around hotel rooms as well. About time someone came up with this.

By Anonymous
•   great clothsline...I found using a carbriner on one or each end worked really well to hook on things you couldn't use the loop end on

By Anonymous
•   I don't know how I'd ever travel again without this miracle clothesline. It's truly amazing. It's mega-strong, has dozens of uses (including securing foreign hotel doors/windows, as a bungee cord, to secure over-packed bags, as a belt in a pinch, as a guy line for a tent, etc.) holds clothes magically, hangs anywhere, packs away tiny, tiny, tiny. This is a buy you will never regret & always be glad about!

By Anonymous
•   I had previously purchases a less expensive twisted elastic cord elsewhere and was constantly fighting to keep the clothes attached. With the flexoline, they stay tightly in between the rubber tubing and don't fall off.
