Best Plug for electronics

• I got this plug to charge my laptop, camera battery charger and use a travel hair straightener. All of these were dual voltage so I just needed this adapter and it works great. I like the indicator lights that tell you it's okay to use. Never had any problems. Traveled in Turkey, Egypt, all over Europe and Morocco.

Peace of mind

• This surge proctector gave me peace of mind at our hotel in Europe. We did not have any surges but the power did go off during a snowstorm so we sould have been proctected if we had been plugged in during that event. I works only on European plugs so plan acordingly but that is where we travel so its just right for us.

all we needed

• We took only a few electronic items (those that were already rated for European voltage) so this ended up being the only adaptor/protector etc that we needed. The only problem was some outlets didn't hold it in well because of their design (wood decoration around outlet).

•   This was used more as a second outlet since outlets are hard to come by in many hotels. We could charge batteries while using other objects like hair dryer or computer. No regrets in buying this.

•   Regarding the search for a surge suppressor that also transforms power -- you don't usually need this with a laptop, cell phone or other electronic device that has a transformer, because usually the transformer is rated up to 220V (or more). The rating should be included in the information printed on the transformer.

•   I have used the EuroSurge on four separate trips to Afghanistan. The power there is at best intermittent, and when the power would cut out and surge back on a few minutes or a few hours later, any device plugged in without protection was in danger of getting fried. •   Just a note of clairfication. This excellent product is not a voltage converter, but an excellent surge protector for a 220/240 volt environment. You should change the first review as it could cause serious problems with people assuming the product will do something it won't. Don't think you would want to replace products damaged because the people expect the EuroSurge to convert the electricity.All the best, Christopher

•   I purchased EuroSurge for a three week trip to Europe. I would not leave home again without it. The hotels where I stayed had erratic electrical systems but EuroSurge kept my Mac safe. The only drawback is that it is clunky and huge compared with other converters but it is definitely worth considering if you are a business traveler.

•   Was just in Europe with my laptop for 6 weeks and the EuroSurge proved to be indispensable, as well as handy for plugging in a multitude of rechargeable items from iPod to camera. I was staying in small towns with older hotels and guest homes, and it spared concern about the antique wiring.
