The Auto Combination Converter works for heating and non-heating appliances.
The Auto Combination Converter combines the functions of the Transformer Converter and the Converter for Heating Appliances, automatically switching itself based on the appliance being used. For electronic appliances up to 50 Watts and heating appliances up to 2000 Watts. Kit includes the four most commonly used adaptor plugs. Made to USA. (16 oz)
Type: Step-down (220/250V > 120V)
Rating: Electronic 50W / Heating 2000W
Accepts A pattern plugs
Fits D pattern sockets
Please Note: We do not recommend using voltage converters with flat irons, as the flat iron may be damaged. A better solution is to invest in a dual voltage flat iron. These can be used anywhere with the right adaptor plugs and allow you to save weight and space in your luggage.
Check the Volts
Check the voltage requirements on any appliances you plan to bring abroad. If your appliances are not dual-voltage, you may need a voltage transformer as well as an adaptor plug.

This is a great converter. I used it to charge my digital camera, run my hairdryer and curling iron. Everyone wanted to borrow it from me. On some outlets it does fall out, but I think it's a problem with the outlet because it worked great on others.

This combo converter blew out in India even with the surge protector. Magellan's said it was because I used it with a hair straightener (which is why I bought it). The same thing happened to my sister when she used hers in Scotland for the same reason. Magellan's was good about having the converter returned and having my visa credited.

We purchased our travel converter right before our trip to London and it worked perfectly. No muss, no fuss. I would highly recommend it. In fact, I'm going to purchase another one because one isn't enough.
