Exactly what we've been looking for
By Elizabeth F., Gaithersburg, MD in November, 2011
I bought two of these for our recent trip to Italy. I was tired of being in hotel or b&b rooms which offered no lightweight blanket options, only heavy comforters and nothing else. This blanket is perfect for the airplane and so nice to have the foot pockets so it does not slip around. We then used it in several locations on our trip when the weather was very warm; it was just the right layer over a sheet. Then I used it in our last spot in northern Italy when the weather had turned cold and I needed an extra layer; it stayed in place because of the nubby texture. It is easy to fold and roll up to fit back into the little pouch and both pouches fit easily into my carry-on bag. It washes easily in cold water on a short cycle; line dry. The initial odor is a bit strong, kind of like new fabric from a sewing store but it washes away with the first wash. All in all, I am glad I finally bought these and sorry I waited so long!
Travel Blanket
By Adelaide M., Mission, BC in October, 2011
The travel blanket was nit exactly as shown. The lilac is quite different from the picture. It is more blue than lilac. Also it does have a strange smell so I washed it a bit before using. In my opinion it was a bit pricey for what I received. The one thing that was really good is the light weight. That was one of the reasons that I purchased the item and was willing to pay more for it than the other travel blanket.
Not very warm
By Jennifer H., Shawnigan Lake, BC in September, 2011
I ordered this blanket for the dreaded overnight to London. Maybe it is the overnight lack of sleep plus the cold of the plane, but I did not find this blanket to be at all warm. I expected silk to be very warm, but I was disappointed. The colour was not as I expected either althought that didn't really matter. It is huge, which is good as it covered me from toes to neck, but I think I may have been warmer with the fleece one instead.
Silk Blanket

This comes with its own case and is easy and lightweight to carry. Does the job under those airplane fans. Cozy for 2.
Warm yet light
By Risa R., Richboro, PA in July, 2011
On a recent trip to Santa Monica, I enjoyed this blanket as a throw, outside on a chilly windy balcony, used it as a shawl around my shoulders inside, and used it as an additional blanket at night. It's lightweight and easy to fold up and fit into the bag. One caveat is to make sure to wash it first because it has an odd odor initially. It washes well on the handwash or silk setting. While it's not objectionable, the blanket is more highly textured than I imagined it would be. Being a natural fiber, it keeps you comfortable under a wide range of temperatures.
A compact blanket that is warm enough on the plane
By Francis L., Rancho Cordova, CA in June, 2011
The virtue of this blanket compared to others lies in its compactness. It can roll up in its drawstring pouch and fit easily in a Scottevest iPad pocket, for example. The silk fabric is smooth to the touch, and it fits nicely over the body from toes to about the waist for a 5' 10'' person. It has pockets for the feet to anchor the bottom. While it is not as warm as the other fluffier fleece blankets, it is warm enough for the flights. Highly recommended!

It's ok...not great....I like the portability
color not as expected
By Doreen W., NY in February, 2011
I agree with all the positive reviews; how this is very small for packing and yet keeps me comfortably warm and is a generous size. My comment is that on my monitor, the lilac color looked more blue, so since the name and color did not match, I chose surf instead. It turned out to be a much lighter and washed out green, more like a seafoam color, than what I saw. I think the lighter color may be more likely to show stains. Overall, I like the product quality.
Best blanket ever
By Frances P., Woodstock, GA in November, 2010
I used this on the plane to keep me warm. When it was in the sack I used it to support my lower back on the bus trip. I was able to take it with me everywhere because it doesn't weigh much and I hooked it on to my pocketbook. If you fold it a certain way you can put it over your shoulders in a restaurant to stop the draft. I wouldn't travel without it!
Comfortable and packable.
By Marian B., Soldotna, AK in October, 2010
I used this blanket on a recent trip which involved 12 flights. I whipped out this blanket to use on most of the flights. I found it to be a great light blanket that was easy to fold and store in it's pack.
A wonderful travel blanket
By Celeste R., Linthicum, MD in August, 2010
This blanket is lightweight and easily packable. It is much softer and larger than the airline blankets and it covered both me and my seatmate. I used it on the train when the air-conditioning was blowing on me and at the hotel when I needed a lighter-weight blanket. I met another traveler on the trip who had also purchased this blanket and was quite pleased with it.
Texture not soft/silky as hoped for...
By Mia R., Clearlake Oaks, CA in July, 2010
But, it does the trick. It is light enough and warm enough. I had ordered the silk sleeping sacks and thought the blanket would be similar in texture, this blanket is a bit heavier. So,just good enough.
Pretty, soft blanket

Love my DreamSack Travel Blanket
By Susan S., NJ in February, 2010
In traveling overseas often I'd rather not use the airline blanket and traveling domestically often blankets are not available. I love my Dream Sack Travel Blanket - it's perfect for a carry-on and I love how long it is. During one flight, water was spilled on it a bit and I was impressed with how quickly it dried. I highly recommend it to anybody who needs to fly!!!
Many more uses than airplanes
By Susan M., ESTERO, FL in January, 2010
Bought this couple yrs ago for air travel. Besides being good there, I discovered it to be great in hotels and cruise ships, due to not liking the heavy comforters they provide. Have just recently started taking to my yoga class for cover up at end of class when it's cold. It's so light, yet warm at same time. Would recommend to all who like to cover up.
I Don't Leave Home Without It
By Nancy S., CA in December, 2009
I purchased my DreamSack four years ago when I began traveling twice a month from the West Coast to the East Coast. When I read that it was silk I expected it would be a different texture. But it is raw silk, which has a more sueded feel. It will keep you warm and cozy on chilly flights, and works great as a first layer under an airline blanket on those occasional "Antarctic blizzard freezing" flights. Wash it a few times before using it because it may leave a bit of fuzz otherwise.
Travel Blanket

The extra length and width of this blanket makes it very comfortable and easy to use. The soft fabric is nice to your skin and the fabric does not leave lint on your clothes. It is a great bargaiin.
Comfort for two.
By Donna G., Kamloops, BC in November, 2009
Love this blanket. It is the first I have seen that actually folds small enough to fit in my carry-on. It is light weight and yet still warm. It is long enough that when turned sideways it keeps both my husband and my upper bodies cozy in flight.
Packs well

Threw it in my carry on and took up llittle space. Better than the last one I had.
Godsend
By Loretta K., Edmonton, AB in September, 2009
I was in Austria and Germany in July and had borrowed the blanket from my brother (I didn't own one at that time) I can honestly say that I used it every night because the hotels and relatives provided only down or thick blankets under which I would have died as the temperature was very warm. It was a godsend.
Chill Chaser Dream Sack
By Jane K., Ft. Pierce, FL in September, 2009
I planned to use the Dream Sack Travel Blanket on the plane because I usually am cold then. However, this time I enjoyed the blanket in my hotel and B&B rooms as well. Going from Florida to Ireland was quite a change for me. I was glad to have the travel blanket to cuddle up in after touring the brisk, beautiful countryside.

Was a great purchase. I also used it as an extra blanket on my bed, it worked very well. I was surprised as it was so thin.

Silky Sleep

After getting on yet another plane it feels so comforting to snuggle into this wonderful blanket. It is incredibly soft & thin, fold and fits into a very small sack, and keeps the cabin chill away.
Love It! Love it!! LOVE IT!!!
By Joan B., AZ in December, 2008
I was on a plane recently that was figid cold. When I asked for a blanket they said there was a $15 charge. With that I determined to buy the DreamSack Travel Blanket that I'd been considering for a very long time. Am I glad I did.! Not only is it nice on the plane, but I found myself happy to have it to use as a light throw on the cruise ship, and while a house guest, when I didn't want to wake my hostess and ask for another blanket. It's light and compact. A perfect trvel companion!
