RetractaSafe™ Cable Lock

This lock is exactly what I was looking for! It is lightweight and easy to use. I have a small portable scooter for mobility issues, but it doesn't have a removable key. I wanted some way to lock it at Disney World, and the retractable cable lock allows me to fold the tiller down and lock it with a minimum of effort.

Purchased the security lock for my husbands cycling bike. As he spent a small fortune on this item, he needed a locking devise that was small and light enough to put in his back pocket of his riding shirt, however the security aspect was vital. The barrel lock means no keys to carry around and lose. He now secures his bike without hyperventilating that it will be stolen.Also, the colour matches his bike and Im told thats very important!!

the other solution, which is a separate cable with a TSA lock. I have bags with a relatively small lock hole, and the separate cable works well since I can put the TSA lock through the cable loops AND the holes in the bag's zipper, with cable looped around a radiator in my room. Here, you are stuck if the end of the cable will not fit into those little zipper holes. It would be good to loop through bag handles on a train, but not secure where someone could cut the fabric handle.

I love this item. At first the people were suspect when they heard it but when I was able to locate my luggage after my cruise they all wanted to know where I got it.

Crafty lock, easy to carry and gives you a bit of peace of mind with your stuff at the beach or pool.

This lock is great for lashing your bag to the luggage rack on a train and thus not having to worry about it wandering off without you. Of course a skilled or determined thief wouldn't be too deterred, but it takes your bag off the "easy mark" list for grab-and-go thieves. Fairly easy to use, though remember that you will need a moment to unlock it --- several times I was hurrying to unlock my bags from the rack in time to hop off the train!

Used to secure our luggage on European trains and they worked well. Easy to set up.

Bought this to secure pieces of my mobility scooter together when I wasn't using it. Prevented people from stealing scooter. Cord could have been slightly longer for this purpose. Has many other uses.

I've ordered a couple of these cable locks and will be ordering a couple more (want to make sure I keep one in each purse). Apart from the typical use of securing bags to each other or to a stable object, I've used them in an emergency on a gym locker and I regularly use them to secure my Ortlieb bags to the back of my bike. While obviously not heavy enough to deter a determined criminal, they certainly do protect your belongings from the average, and far more common, snatch and grab thief.

RetractaSafe works perfectly. I bought two, one for me and one for my wife. Excellent in any public areas such as airports and cruise ship boarding areas, as it thwarts "grab 'n' Snatch." We even use them in hotel rooms. An ounce of prevention is well worth a ton of lamenting later.

I bought this before a recent land trip through Italy. I used it to connect all our bags together on the luggage racks on the train. Even though Itried to keep the luggage in my line of sight, when we arrived in Rome, when I finally got to my suitcases, they'd been moved & the combination numbers on this lock had been put to "0." Since I'd programmed it, "0's" didn't work. Get this and be sure to set your combination!!
