no tip for Iphone 5 in this set - Review by

I was disappointed it did not fit the Iphone 5...spent a lot of time on the internet trying to find one that fit...what a hassle. Found one that had to be bought from English company....12 dollars more plus postage.

Great work in a great place - Review by

Unlike Julie from California, I did take my power monkey to Africa, and except for a brief period when the power monkey was purloined by a real monkey, it worked splendidly - on an iPod Touch 4 and a digital camera. Safari camps turn off their generators in the afternoon, but there was time to leave the gadget powering up by day, then refuel my gadgets at night. I'm about to order one for a grandchild whose sport takes her to strange places.

Great for charging small devises - Review by

I love using my power monkey. When I travel, whether around town or to far off places, I use my iPhone for EVERYTHING. I use it a lot as a hot spot and for video and photos. These all drain my battery super fast so it's handy to keep the power monkey in my purse for a mid-day charge. I also have the Extreme which is great for charging multiple devises and for charging my iPad and tablet.

power monkey - Review by

i love this little power source. i keep it in my car to recharge my kindle which i carry in the car. the only thing i noticed was when i charged my kindle with it, it used up all of its charge which meant i had to recharge the power monkey. it advertises a much longer power usage than just one charge

Can't use with Canon digital camera - Review by

I bought it so I could recharge my Canon digital camera batteries. Unfortunately the Canon battery has to be plugged into an AC outlet and the Power Monkey has no receptacle for that. I returned the item since it cost almost $70. It does appear it would be good for recharging IPOD, etc. and has adapters for foreign countries.

Not as advertised - Review by

Like the last reviewer, I wonder if I got a defective monkey. I have recharged it three times to try different devices in case the first charge did not "take". The website states that it will charge a phone in 30 minutes and will charge three phones before recharging the monkey. It takes two to 2 1/2 hours to charge my phone when it is 3/4 down and will then not fully charge another phone. After the last charge (which takes about 5 hours) I tried to charge my kindle. The monkey flashed red after two hours and the kindle was not fully charged. I had hoped to take this to Africa, but it doesn't seem to be worth it for the little it does so I am returning it.

I LOVE the Power Monkey - Review by

On a recent trip, I never panicked when my phone battery got low because I had my Power Monkey with me. I recharged the phone during the commute from the airport to the hotel, and, because the Power Monkey is small and light, I kept in my purse and recharged the phone while sightseeing. Each night I would recharge the Power Monkey for the next day. It was nice not having to worry about battery time left on my phone. My only complaint was that the charger would turn on while in my bag, but not connected to my phone.

A little disappointed - Review by

I had high hopes for this item when I took it to Italy in May. It was great not having to bring all sorts of charging cords like I usually do. However, even with the "monkey" fully charged and my Blackberry with 25% battery remaining, the "monkey" would be out of power before the phone was fully charged. It also took much longer to charge my Kindle than I thought it would. After reading about this item and other reviews I expected it to perform a bit better. I resorted to charging my phone, etc. while the "monkey" was plugged in to an outlet itself. Maybe I got a dud but it was still better than bringing individual chargers for my gadgets!

Power Monkey - Review by

I really like this, but I was hoping it worked with the Ipad not just the Ipod. We were in Ireland and it would have really help but could only charge my phone which was nice when we hit the US airports.

Great gadget - Review by

I took the power monkey on a trip to Africa along with an adapter for their electric plugs. It was the best thing I took on the trip. I used it to charge my iPhone which I used to keep my daily journal notes and read books from my Kindle. I also used it to charge my camera. When we were in hotels about every 3 nights I charged it up again from their power for the next 3 nights in the tents in the bush with no electricity. Now I carry it in a briefcase in case I run out of power and charge my phone or camera on the go. What a great gadget. I guess there are some solar chargers now too but this worked fine for me for my needs.

Worked on most items - Review by

Took this on a tour of Ireland. It worked fine to charge my husband's cell phone, and with an iPod, but would not work on my iPad.

Portable power charger - Review by

The best portable battery charger I have found. With all of the adapter pieces I was able to charge my phone, my wife's phone, my e-reader without have to drag along all of the separate charges. Charging time was fast compared to other battery powered charges I have tried.
