Great lightweight shirt for travel
By Ron S., Fort Collins, CO in July, 2012: I have been using clothing from Magellan's for a number of years now and I have found that I have been consistently able to get by with just one carry-on using space saver apparel such as their Scottevest and other lightweight clothing. During a recent trip to Switzerland I had the chance to try their Men's Ultimate Sunblock Shirt. Made of 100% nylon it barely took up any room in my 22" roller. It was also advertised as being 50+UPF and since I was going to be a higher elevations on this trip, getting burned quickly was a real concern. After wearing my shirt all day in bright sunlight I found that it did protect me from getting any sort of sunburn on my arms, chest and back. A hat and sunscreen protected my head and neck. The other thing I liked about the shirt was that it washed up easily in the sink of my hotel room and simply hanging it up made it dry and ready to wear the next day. I also usually carry things like my passport, wallet and camera gear items with me and the multiple chest pockets (including a zippered security pocket) worked perfectly for that. This shirt worked quite well for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sun-protective, lightweight shirt with plenty of pockets that also happens to look good.
Stain removal
By Dr. Donald H., NH in April, 2012: This is a technically wonderful shirt. However, my wife has been unable to remove a red stain from it. Although she has tried many things, she had no success. She thinks it may be due to the nature of the fabric. She is able to remove stains from my other non-Magellan shirts. This problem will not prevent me from continuing to buy these great shirts.
