Worth its weight in gold
By Emily, Milwaukee, WI in November, 2012 -
I love this alarm clock! I was nervous about buying it because of the reviews, but after reading the directions, it's really easy to use. I travel a lot, and you just spin the dial to change time zones- no math involved. Handy flashlight, clock face lights up, even has a temperature reading (in both Fahrenheit and Celsius)! Great battery life. Totally worth whatever you pay for it.
-
great idea, poor implementation
By Rick Thurmond, Cobb, CA in November, 2012 -
I like the idea, with the twist knob for time zone. But in the dark when you reach for it, or when it is packed in your luggage, it beeps all the time whenever something touches one of the light buttons. I'd imagine you could pack it and run down the flashlight in your suitcase. The alarm started and was impossible to stop in the dark. Needs a little more thought.

By W. Ron Allen, Sequim, WA in November, 2012 -
Nice clock, but I agree the beeps are anoying and it annoying that you can't turn the alarm off. Would have been handy if it had a hard case to prevent it being bumped and beeping in the suit case.
-
Do NOT buy This
By BD, Warrenton, VA in November, 2012 -
I'm an airline pilot, I've used dozens of travel alarms over my 20+ years flying. Dont buy this!
Good: Good idea, knob rotate time zone
Display's OK
Bad: External no-lock buttons ensure that the flashlight and beeping will activate with every slight bump of your bag. Batt life goes in the toilet.
Programming is way more difficult than it should be .
There's much better out there. -
Hard to set
By LHJ, IN in November, 2012 -
Instructions are difficult. Cannot get it set to EST, New York. for the am hours.
It is now on Hong Kong time in order to be correct. Also,
buttons for setting are on the bottom which can be hit
inadvertantly changing data on the clock. Also, cannot figure out how to set the alarm. Disappointed.
Only plus is that it is compact. -
Great gift for your traveling friends
By Jim F., Ringgold, GA in October, 2012 -
I think you should always have a flashlight by you bed, especially when you travel. And to have a travel clock that changes time zones with the twist of a knob that is also a flashlight. What a great combination.

World Time Alarm Clock
By John L., Medina, OH in October, 2012 -
This clock is not user friendly. It was difficult setting the date and time. We were never able to activate the alarm. The product needs more complete instructions.
-
Awful
By Kathy M., Fresno, CA in September, 2012 -
Nice idea that totally fails in implementation. There is no lock feature for the settings so everytime it goes off and you pick it up, you are hitting buttons and changing the settings. I fianlly got the alarm on and now cannot get it to turn off. Even my accidental changes have not turned the alarm off. Some of the icons are SO small that they cannot be easily read or even seen with my reading glasses on. This was a total waste of money. I have ordered something else to replace it. This item is pretty much worthless.
-
wonderful, except would have been better if the face is lighted
By Hermenegildo M., tamuning, GU in August, 2012 -
would have been better if the face is lighted . right now it's a bit dark, difficult to see the time.
-
alarm clock
By Anonymous, Lafayette, IN in August, 2012 -
Setting this alarm clock proved to be incredibly difficult and now the thing goes off every day even though we think we turned the alarm off. Just not really user friendly -- maybe it is because we are middle aged!
-
world time alarm clock
By Anonymous, CT in August, 2012 -
Love the concept but I can never find the button to turn off the alarm in the morning in the dark. In the suitcase, the flashlight kept turning on and drained the batteries. It is also difficult to see whether the alarm is set because the icon is so small.
-
Neat gadget
By Joan H., Ponder, TX in August, 2012 -
The world time alarm clock is helpful to me when I want to Skype or Facetime someone in another country. I simply dial the major city and instantly know what time it is there. I also use the flashlight function when I'm in an unfamiliar hotel room to find my way around. I got it on sale, so it's definitely worth the money!!!

really like the size and concenience of the clock. good alarm.
-
yes, but ...
By Anonymous, Navesink, NJ in August, 2012 -
Had some difficulty figuring out how to work this item. Directions were impossibly small print. Could have been very useful

Can't shut the alarm off!!!
By Pam R., Putnam, CT in August, 2012 -
Liked this handy little gadget for its multiple time zones and small mass. Flashlight is a nice feature, too. However, I couldn't figure out how to shut off the alarm permanently without taking the battery out.
-
Nice stuff
By Chunlian W., Lincoln park, MI in August, 2012 -
I like your traveL supplies it is very nice stuff .I like them very much ! Thanks
-
Nice idea, but impractical for travel
By Carolyn P., LA in July, 2012 -
Love the flashlight feature, easy switch for time zones and the size. Would love to use for travel, but there is no "lock" to keep accidental adjustments of settings from occurring due to buttons being pushed inadvertantly while inside a bag during travel. Also, not easy to permanently turn off the alarm (no quick swith, involves multiplpe button pushes). Really an impractical travel alarm clock.
-
World Time Alarm Clock Makes too much noise
By Pamela S., Pittsboro, NC in July, 2012 -
We recently traveled in 4 different time zones so this clock/flashlight seemed a neat idea for the reduced price since we were ordering more items. It functioned well but I wish that it did not beep when you press the button to see what time it is. It beeps when you press any button, in fact. Too much beeping and confusing to turn the snooze alarm off.
-
World clock
By Neil S., Grand Forks, BC in July, 2012 -
I think the clock is wonderfull, its the 2nd one I've got as I left the first one in hotel room. I hope I don't do it again! Its nice to be in another time zone and find out quickly the time at home if you want to contact someone there. Also the light is nice to have, eliminates bringing 2 items, flashlight and clock.

I bought this as a gift for myself as I might be going to the Vatican in the Fall.
-
Clock
By Stanlie J., Tempe, AZ in June, 2012 -
I like this little clock because it is so handy and small and convenient for packing. Just wish it had an alarm or at least it would be easier to figure out how to work it. Stanlie James

LED Lights Only Lasted One Year
By Carolyn K., Saint Helena, CA in June, 2012 -
It worked great on my trip to Rio de Janeiro in 2011--especially the flashlight. The programming is a challenge but manageable. Back to Rio in 2012 the clock back light works, but not the flashlight. Bought new batteries, but still no luck. I thought it was too good to be true when I bought it, and I was right. There seems to be no option for replacing the LED lights.
-
a good concept
By K B., New Orleans, LA in June, 2012 -
I liked the features on this, as I needed a flashlight, international clock, and alarm for travel in India. Love the concept here, and with some fine tuning, I think this would be a fabulous product...but, the flashlight only works with you holding the button down continuously; the alarm was a bit temperamental - resetting itself to an odd time; and keeping it in my bag wasn't practical, as the bumps of walking would push all the buttons and change up settings. So, it turned out this wasn't my favorite buy, although the country dial did prove helpful with time differences.
-
Jill
By Anonymous, Sandpoint, ID in June, 2012 -
I would have liked it better if the face could be always lit. It makes a loud beep when you want to check the time, and that is not a good thing in the middle of the night.
-
Handy double tool
By Sue H., Kamloops, BC in May, 2012 -
Flashlight is handy for finding the bathroom in the middle of the night in a strange hotel room! Times are convenient when you cross a time zone and don't want to change the time by hand, you just turn the dial to that time zone - except that in Canada, I had to guess which American city would be in the same time zone as the Canadian one.
-
most disappointed
By Helen V., ELLICOTT CITY, MD in May, 2012 -
If all you wanted was the world time, this is a great clock. Nice size, easy to see. Setting date and alarm, that is almost impossible. The font on the directions must be a 4, and if you do have a magnifying glass to read them, they are extremely hard to follow. Then, if you are lucky enough to get the alarm set, you can't find out how to unset it. In a way, it hardly matters because the alarm is loud enough to annoy you but not loud enough to awaken you. I've had several technologically-oriented fellow travelers see me fiddle with the thing and they tried to do it to no avail. Agree also that the flashlight is nice, but you can't leave it on without your finger on it.
-
World Time Clock
By Bruce J., VT in May, 2012 -
Great clock for travel. Wasn't sure alarm would be loud enough, but it is. The first clock arrived with no packing, just rattling around in a big box. The clock was damaged. A second clock arrived with packing and undamaged.
-
...wait another few months
By Anonymous, Windsor, VT in May, 2012 -
It must be my age, I have only gotten this thing half programmed as I find it confusing. I really need to take a lot of time to just sit down with it and figure it out.....

-
Weightless
By Carol K., Pickering, ON in April, 2012 -
Sorry to say, I've not had an opportunity to travel with this clock but, I love the fact it is SO LIGHT. Like being able to quickly turn to the correct time zone. Great!! :-)
-
Worst product ever purchased from magellans, useless for travel
By KATHLEEN S., ARVADA, CO in April, 2012 -
completely impractical for travel, every time a button is pushed there is a beep. I don't want my checked luggage "beeping" intermittently to promote a likely search and that is equally annoying in carryon luggage or if spouse is asleep. 2 sets of batteries, one very difficult to reach so taking the batteries out for travel not simple, very hard to set alarm. I can see why its on sale, should have returned it, but it makes an ok clock for my bathroom. I will NEVER travel with it again, can't believe it is still in the catalog
-
Very disappointing
By Selene M., Tigard, OR in April, 2012 -
This was so reasonably priced that I thought it would be great. No way -- if I were the kind of person to return things, it would be going back. It is large (Magellan's, photos should show a hand or something for size comparison) and the controls are not easy to operate -- time and alarm should be simple to set. Not sure I will ever use it.
-
Useful clock
By Deborah D., Loveland, CO in March, 2012 -
This clock worked great for me on my recent trip to the Philippines. For those who had problems with the alarm turning on in luggage, just keep the box and use it when you travel. I think the light will come in handy when in less well lit hotels and in emergencies. I also didn't find it to be unduly noisy. A great buy!
-
the silent alarm
By Curtis J., Minneapolis, MN in March, 2012 -
This was not expensive, so i'm not returning it. But the programming toggle to turn alarm set on and off does not work. And the alarm signal itself is so subtle, only one person in our household was able to hear it from any distance greater than a couple of inches.
-
What alarm??
By Valita R., Centerville, OH in February, 2012 -
I use it, but it would be nice if I could find the alarm!
-
Cheap not worth even $9.99
By Carolina O., OK in February, 2012 -
Cheap. Not worth even the $9.99 special There were no instructions and can't set the alarm properly. Once set can't undo it.
-
alarm is flaky
By Erika G., IT in February, 2012 -
the alarm came on having seemed to set itself without warning & was very hard to get off even following the instructions. otherwise a decent clock for travel.
-
good clock, annoying beep
By kyle a., cheyenne, WY in February, 2012 -
have to take off 2 stars for annoying beeps when you push the buttons for light, to change time, etc.
-
Most Disappointing Purchase ever from Magellans
By Kenneth C., Birmingham, AL in January, 2012 -
Magellan's was pushing this and it had some nifty features, particularly the World Time Zone dial which is about the only function that works properly. 1) Out of the box there were no instructions but that is ok as I rarely read them anyway. 2) There is no way that I could find to turn the alarm off. 3) The snooze button does not work at all. 3) Temperatures are in Celcius only - although that is no problem for me it can be rather confusing. 4) The flashlight is extrememly weak so I still need to carry another LED falshlight along. 5) As others noted, the buttons are pushed during travel draining the batteries. I don't know why Magellan's would carry this and promote it so heavily. I wish I had my money back.
-
Nice little combo clock
By stacy B., Jensen Beach, FL in January, 2012 -
I like this clock because it is also a flashlight which can certainly be handy on a cruise or any trip. It is not of the highest quality but for the price it is just fine!
-
Doesn't work in ALL states
By Mary D., AK in January, 2012 -
I am really disappointed. This clock cannot be set for Alaska time zone. It goes from Pacific time to Hawaii time, but not Alaska. So it is useless to me. I hope I can get my money back.
-
Useable. He used it.
By Carol H., Livonia, MI in January, 2012 -
We visited Hawaii and Japan. The clock kept us entertained

It looks great! My husband will try it out on Christmas when he gets in out of his Christmas stocking!
-
Packing solution
By Beverly M., Kissimmee, FL in December, 2011 -
We just got this little clock/flashlight and brought it to Africa where the electricity goes off and on unpredictably in some areas. We found it so handy and reliable. Other reviewers complained that the button for the light gets pushed while packed and the battery runs down. We solved the problem. We put it in a toilet paper roll with an old pill bottle cap on each end. You might want to cover that with a longer paper towel roll cut to size, slit it up the side with a rubber band to secure the whole thing. Never had a problem. Control buttons are difficult to read but once you use them there is no more problem. The alarm is a little soft but adequate.
-
I know now why this is on sale
By Anonymous, Hoboken, NJ in December, 2011 -
This alarm clock is out of date in that the software does not know that Russia no longer observes daylight savings time. So the Moscow time setting is an hour off in the winter. Does appear to be any way to resolve it.
-
NG!!
By Robin W., Houston, TX in December, 2011 -
This clock has some nifty features but the high pitched beep that occurs every time any button is pushed made it a whole unacceptable and unusable product. DON'T BOTHER!!!
-
Magellan's World Time alarm clock
By David W., Mississauga, ON, ON in December, 2011 -
It seems OK as it combines a number of functions including a flashlight. For a person who travels frequently, it would be very useful because of the various time zones available.
-
A good product in general
By S H., Boise, ID in November, 2011 -
For the most part I really like this travel alarm. It is compact, light weight, has a lot of easily programmable features, and easily adjusts from one time zone to another. My disappointment is in the loud audible beep that happens every time you push a button. During the night if I want to know what time it is I don't use this clock because pushing the button to light the display causes a loud beep which would definately wake my husband. If I were travelling alone it wouldn't be so bad, but most of my travel is with another person. I really wish that this clock had been designed with a way to turn off the audible beep.
-
handy travel clock
By Audrey S., Bancroft, ON in November, 2011 -
It was easy to set the date/time etc. I really like the feature that allows you to change the time zone and find the time in other regions of the world. When you are travelling across time zones you don't have to keep resetting you clock. The only fault I had was that the batteries were worn out. I replaced the AA batteries and was able to set the clock but had to order the button batteries that operate the handy flashlight feature. Hopefully that works well when the batteries are replaced.
-
tiny traveller
By mary L., dartmouth, MA in November, 2011 -
This tiny clock keeps time in two zones. It is handy to use, handy to carry and very lightweight. Lighted so it can be used as a flashlight while travelling too. Everyone could use one.
-
Magellan's World Time Travel Alarm
By Wanda S., St Charles, IL in November, 2011 -
I only rated this a 4 star based on feedback I got from the men I gave this item to as gifts. All said it was a bit difficult to figure out as instructions weren't as clear as they could have been but once they got it figured out all really loved the product and would then give it a 5 star rating.
-
Finally can set the alarm
By Rita S., Cheney, WA in November, 2011 -
On my past three trips I really liked this world alarm clock EXCEPT for turning the alarm on and off. In reading the reviews I realized that I was not alone and asked for help from my 11-year-old grandson. Here is the solution: Press 'mode' until the alarm screen appears, press 'set' to set the alarm to the correct time. Once it is set, press the up arrow in the back of the clock. One press activates the alarm, two presses activate both the alarm and snooze functions. Three presses cancel both the alarm and snooze function. One source of confusion is that the alarm signals are small and difficult to see on the clock face. The alarm bell appears on top of the colon between the hour and minutes, the snooze icon appears below the colon. They are very small and appear almost like dots. I hope this is helpful.
-
Great Clock!
By Anna W., Tucson, AZ in November, 2011 -
I purchased this clock in September, 2009 and just discovered it shows the temperature! I couldn't figure out how to find it, but my wonderful husband found it. We really like it. The flashlight doesn't have an off/on capability but that's ok, it's still a great clock. I got it for the time, the flashlight is an added feature. I would definitely recommend this clock!
-
Travel clock
By David W., Indian Land, SC in October, 2011 -
A great space saving travel alarm with a built in flashlight. Only downside is setting the time by city name. As an example Barcelona is not listed. Is it in the same time zone as Paris? I know which is which but do others?
-
Gadget Lover
By Chris T., Chandler, AZ in October, 2011 -
I am a gadget lover so I think this is great....then my husband spoiled it by telling me that I had all of these on my phone!
-
What were they thinking?
By Mark S., Carlsbad, CA in October, 2011 -
As mentioned, the device beeps when you want to turn on the backlight to read the time. That makes it useless if sleeping in the same room as someone else. Also, as mentioned, it is very inconvenient to have to hold a button down to keep the flashlight operational. I gave mine away to someone who travels by herself on business.
-
Handy device
By Marge G., Amarillo, TX in October, 2011 -
Nice to have the light on this.....pretty easy to set everything...even for an old goat like me!
-
Not an Apple Product.
By Joan F., Annandale, VA in October, 2011 -
The clock keeps good time, the flashlight is wonderful, but the alarm system is not intuitively obvious. That means that I need to take the instructions with me when I am traveling if I want to use the alarm.
-
good travel clock
By Barbara S., Woodland, WA in October, 2011 -
Numbers are big and easy to read. Easy to hold. Easy to carry along. Comforting to have a flashlight in handy reach for emergency exits.
-
Returned the item
By Anonymous, Stoughton, WI in October, 2011 -
The item was returned as wanted it for the flashlight purpose too and it would not stay on unless a person kept a finger on the spot. Should have an off/on switch.
-
Impractical
By Mark S., Carlsbad, CA in October, 2011 -
Because the clock beeps when you press the back light to see the time in the dark, it might disturb anyone else in the room. Also, some of the symbols are extremely small, making setting the clock a challenge unless you are in a very well-lit area and have 20-20 vision or your glasses. In general, setting the clock and alarm could be more user-friendly. And, as also has been pointed out, you have to continously hold down a small button to keep the light on, so you can't shine it on something and have both hands available. Unfortunately when I ordered this, I looked at the overall score but didn't read enough reviews.
-
Perfect for international travel
By Mary F., Aberdeen, WA in September, 2011 -
I just returned from a two-week trip to Greece, and the World Time Alarm Clock was a life saver. None of the hotels we stayed in had bed-side clocks nor did the cruise ship. The only issue with the clock was when you hit the button to illuminate the clock to check the time in the middle of the night it beeps.
-
Any time any where!
By Ginger S., Paw Paw, MI in September, 2011 -
We visited the Canadian Maritimes and it was just so easy to change the time zone. The alarm worked great as did the thermometer. this is a MUST HAVE for the traveler !
-
Traveling Alarm clock
By Dolores P., Fullerton, CA in September, 2011 -
This has a lot of great features, including a flashlight...however, the alarm is too difficult to set...we can't always get it to work.
-
Great little clock.....but.....
By Jane M., Wapakoneta, OH in September, 2011 -
I liked the all-in-one compact travel clock/flashlight concept. However, it was hopeless as an alarm clock because the instructions for setting the alarm did not work for me. Maybe a step is missing, maybe I just didn't understand, but it didn't work for me. I had bought two more to give as gifts but am thinking I may return them. Also, because only certain key cities are used you need to know how their time zone relates to your actual location when using the clock. "Where is Amsterdam in relation to London's time zone? Should I use Cairo or Athens instead?"
-
Fantastic alarm clock
By John O., Orlando, FL in September, 2011 -
Use this alarm clock all the time. I even use it at home as a back-up alarm in case the power goes out.
-
Very interesting
By Emery T., The Villages, FL in September, 2011 -
This item is very interesting as it presents multiple items of interesting data for the traveler in a compact and easily manipulated manner.
-
traveling world time clock
By Teresa B., Wilderville, OR in September, 2011 -
I got this clock for my kids, insted I kept it for myself so I would know what time it was when they were in Europe. Haven't had a problem with it so far.

Had trouble setting alarm, until I got smart enough. Nice clock
-
Jo
By Joanna S., Dandridge, TN in August, 2011 -
So convient that you don't have to count up/down the time differences (on your fingers) for different world areas,----you just dial in the area you want and "walla" there it is. Small and easy to carry or use on your nightstand. Temperature and light are also handy.
-
Alarm Clock
By Anonymous, Omaha, NE in August, 2011 -
It is very complicated to use. I still can't figure out how to set the alarm
-
World Time Alarm Clock
By Maria H., El Paso, TX in July, 2011 -
Purchased the World Time Alarm Clock for a European tour involving 6 countries and 4 time zones if you include the "home" time zone. Packed it in my carry-on, fits easily in any nook/cranny; never questioned about it by any security agent; loved the "flashlight" feature, especially since every 2-3 nights I was in a different hotel room; could easily check the time back home so calling was never inconvenient; will not travel again without it. Have purchased a second World Time Alarm Clock as a gift.
-
Stays in my suitcase
By Jan H., Birmingham, AL in July, 2011 -
I love this clock! It goes with me on every trip and stays on "my" side of the bed, no matter where the hotel puts their clock! It's nice to know I have a flashlight handy, as well. I "wouldn't leave home without it".
-
World Time Alarm Clock
By Constance G., Fort Wayne, IN in July, 2011 -
This world time alarm clock is very light and was easy to pack and use every day. Was easy to check time at home. I recommend this for any travelers abroad.
-
love this clock/flashlight
By Kathryn G., Plano, TX in June, 2011 -
I like this so much that I use it everyday. It is on the table until I need the flashlight. Love that it is so lightweight compared to other flashlights and always handy. Love the date, and it is so much fun to just turn the dial to see what time it is in a part of the world that I am dreaming of traveling to see. Large enough characters to see without the glasses.
-
Works well!
By Judith D., Gig Harbor,, WY in June, 2011 -
When traveling to Europe, we found this clock most useful in keeping track of the time "back home"!
-
clock/flashlight
By Suzanne G., bend, OR in June, 2011 -
Bought as a gift for my husband, he loves gadgets and this one fit that passion, he is using it daily.
-
Fair product
By Donna K., Newalla, OK in June, 2011 -
The light on the clock does not stay lit long enough. I don't like the beeping when you are trying to set it or turn the light on. Hard to use in the dark.
-
flashlight will only work if you hold the button down
By Susan P., Lake Louise, AB in June, 2011 -
Sorry but I can not give this a great review. I found it frustrating that you can not swich the flashlight to stay on. You have to hold the button down making difficult to do anything and still see. The light is bright though. I like the clock and found it handy when traveling alone but beeps when you push the button for the lighted clock display which is not great when you want to check the time and don't want to wake your spouse
-
Not recommended
By George D., El Paso, TX in June, 2011 -
I'm quite puzzled that this alarm clock has such high ratings. It does not have a lock button to prevent it from being activated while in luggage and the alarm is not loud enough for anyone that likes to use earplugs while traveling.
-
Liked the clock but couldn't figure out the alarm
By Judy T., Wheeling, IL in June, 2011 -
I liked the idea that this clock would allow me to see time both in my home time zone and that of my destination. What I didn't like was that I could set the time for the alarm but I could never set it to go off and the little black feet came off immediately
-
very useful travel clock
By Terri D., Vero Beach, FL in June, 2011 -
I LOVE this travel clock! I had to have it for my international vacations. I like having the temperature in either celcius or fahrenheit, so I know how to dress in the morning without worrying that I didn't convert from one to other properly. Also, now I don't worry about changing the time as it's easy to just pick the city/time zone that you are in and turn the knob. I totally recommend this item to all.
-
Most Convenient Tool
By Lois L., IL in June, 2011 -
Easily slipped on my wrist or attached to purse strap it travels well. I do not wear a watch and my cell is often off while traveling. This was a great help just going camping in the next state with a different time zone! I REALLY like the temperature feature - I've come to use it even more than switching the time zones!
-
Alarm function doesn't work
By Marty R., Sebastopol, CA in May, 2011 -
It seemed like a good idea and it was nice to have a little clock traveling, but I set the alarm for an important wake up on my trip[ and it never went off - luckily I had also scheduled a wake-up call. then when I got home it has started going off on some days - hard to figure out how to set it and I hadn't brought the small print directions with me.
-
good not great
By Michele M., Mechanicsville, VA in May, 2011 -
The clock is light weight and packs easily. I really liked the ease off changing time zones. Setting the alarm was a bit cumbersome and the backlight didn't come on when setting the alarm. The beep everytime you checked time was annoying. Finally temperature would be nice.
-
Good But ...
By Gerri B., CA in May, 2011 -
I like the completeness of the info it displays and i like that there's a flashlight (for those trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night when turning on the room lights would waken my husband). And I really like the time zone adjustment--it's the main reason I bought the clock. But the clock has 5 batteries and 3 of them are watch batteries, which are hard to find in much of the world, so that's bad. And the flashlight switch and dial light switch are unprotected push buttons--I put the clock in my suitcase and when I opened the suitcase again, the flashlight was on! So now I keep the clock in a toilet paper roll, which protects the switches but, really, a toiler paper roll?

Nice up to a point
By David W., Charlottesville, VA in May, 2011 -
This is a handy, small clock with some good features. But unless your ears are very good don't count on it as an alarm clock, that feature is very weak. But I do like its other functions, including indoor temperature and time adjustments according to where you are.
-
Excellent traveling clock as well as home clock
By Joan K., Tracy, CA in April, 2011 -
This clock is excellent for travel, I can know the time where ever I am, and be able to set the alarm without having to figure out time etc. At home it is great as I can keep the time for Japan while my daughter is there. It glows at night to be able to read when touched, and has a flashlight to find one's way around a dark hotel room. I have two.

Wonderful Travel Aid
By Larry C., San Jose, CA in April, 2011 -
Recently purchased this "Multi Purpose Tool" for a trip to So. Africa. It's compact and not only has an clock and alarm, it also is a great flashlight and thermometer with settings for both C. and F. Everyone that saw it on my last trip said it was something they would buy for future travelling.

Handy clock, missing some useful features
By Ralph S., Yorktown, VA in March, 2011 -
Time changes when you rotate the knob on the right side, nice touch. Two features it is missing: A "lock" button of some sort to keep the light and other functions from being actuated when you stuff the clock in your luggage and an indicator near the buttons on the back that makes it clear which one is used to turn the alarm on and off. The latter deficiency is a big human factors bust because I could not figure out how to set the alarm on my first trip without the instructions I left at home.
-
Handy for lots of reasons
By Julie W., Red Rock, IT in March, 2011 -
This is more than just a clock! It is great the way it provides instant time info on so many locations. Plus it is a handy torch, a handy size and weight and it is an alarm clock with a snooze button.

Great clock
By Helen E., Chocowinity, NC in March, 2011 -
This is a great travel alarm clock. It is extremely easy to program, small and very light. It also has a light up screen which makes it easy to see in the dark. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Always know the time!
By Wini C., New Market, VA in March, 2011 -
I ordered 4 of these alarm clocks, one for each of my children who often head for different destinations, and one for my upcoming trip to China--don't want to oversleep and miss anything! The clock is compact, but not teensy, and has a great display. The instructions will cover all points on the map!

Was great to know the time at home and where we were traveling.
-
world Time Alarm Clock
By Emilia S., Sunnyside, NY in February, 2011 -
Good to have it, but it was not necessary for my travel. I kept on removing the batteries before I put it into my check-in suitcase for my airplane flights wherever I go. The flashlight was handy at night.
-
handy little gadget
By Ruthann S., Hamilton, ON in February, 2011 -
Easy to use, easy to read and a bonus flashlight as well. My only criticism would be the lack of a Canadian city time reference. The price was definitely right.

Excellent Little Travel Clock
By Ann U., Holiday, FL in February, 2011 -

Exactly what I expected
By Ann B., Glenview, IL in February, 2011 -
This alarm clock was exactly what was expected. I appreciate the size . . .not too big. It will fit easily in the corner of my suitcase. The flashlight is bright but can be easily directed from bothering others. The illuminated face is not too bright but you can see the time easily when waking up in the middle of the night (and if you turn it away from you, there isn't a glow to keep you awake). I'm looking forward to using it on our next trip.
-
Nice size
By Cindy A., Soddy Daisy, TN in February, 2011 -
The alarm clock is nice in that you can change the time according to where you are and the flashlight is an added bonus. The only problem is that the button to turn on the flashlight has no protector on it so it is hard to pack in a suitcase without draining the batteries.
-
World Time Alarm clock
By Ronald C., Kailua KonaJ, HI in January, 2011 -
Very neat little item, takes the guessing out of what time it is at your next destination. It also figures in daylight savings times etc.

Excellent value with a lot of niece feactures - flash lght - day, date and tempeature, count down timer - easy to set between time zones
-
Great clock!
By Stacy S., IL in January, 2011 -
I used this item when I was on a 12 hour time difference. The rotating feature was great when I wanted to call home to know what time it was there. The only problem that I had with this product what that there is no locking function for the keys. I traveled a lot on my trip and when I put it in my backpack, I found that some of the buttons were pressed. Overall, a really cool concept!
-
Great portability and convenience
By Dave J., Goffstown, NH in January, 2011 -
This alarm clock served our purposes perfectly when we were hopping across time zones in Europe, plus the very small profile makes it easy to pack in carry-on. Battery power means no worries about adapters or anything.
-
World Time clock used locally !
By Renee v., Santa Fe, NM in January, 2011 -
I not only love this little clock but take it with me tp every room in my house. So I can gage the temperature in each room ! Soon I will be going on a trip again and it will avail me well with at least the local time and indoor temps. Best little clock yet ! Thanks for this great offer, Renee.

A great travel clock that could be slightly improved
By Lisa B., Rancho Murieta, CA in November, 2010 -
Years ago, I had a travel alarm that allowed me to change time zones without changing anything else, and it finally died of old age. This is the first clock like that I have found. If you are a frequent distance traveler like I am, you will love not having to figure out local time. A brief word about what is NOT perfect: the controls have to be protected from accidental turn-on while traveling to avoid battery drain. Also, the alarm indicators are very tiny and hard for an elder to see.
-
Great Travel Companion
By Patricia N., Sacramento, CA in November, 2010 -
During my last trip, no one had changed the clock in our room from daylight savings time to standard time. If we did not have our recently purchased clock, we would probably have had problems with time.
-
Delightful, but how do I 'un-set' the alarm?
By D F., ON in October, 2010 -
On a cruise ship in the Greek Islands recently I was able to prove to the cabin steward that our cabin was extremely cold by showing him the temp. readout on my little clock - 16 degrees! This clock will accompany me on every trip, but I have the one little problem of how to un-set the alarm. Help?
-
Mixed Review
By Susan C., Rapid City, SD in October, 2010 -
The flashlight function is awesome!! The alarm function is quite difficult to set. I finally abandoned using this product as an alarm, but keep it next to the bed for the flashlight feature.
-
Good product with one flaw
By Kristin F., Hermosa Beach, CA in October, 2010 -
I have traveled with this clock several times. It's compact and lightweight and I love the flashlight and thermometer features. However, when you travel, unless you put it in a hard protective case (I now use a sunglasses case), there is a high probability that the big button on the top that you push to light up the screen, which depresses very easily, will accidentally be depressed while in your luggage and your battery may be dead by the time you reach your destination.
-
Travel Alarm Clock
By Anonymous, Miami, FL in October, 2010 -
Display is too dim, but in general is what I was expecting for my travels.
-
Better than I had thought.
By Wilhelmine S., Hot Springs Village, US in October, 2010 -
Now that I have three of these (!!!!!), I can definitely tell you that this is the handiest little clock! I had no light in my hotel room near the bed, and the little flashlight was the handiest thing. Also, since I changed a number of time zones, it was cool to just turn the dial to the one I needed. Now, if I can only figure how to turn on the alarm (I know how to set it, but then I erase it for some reason.)
-
Handy, very handy - and versatile.
By peggy g., CA in October, 2010 -
I like the flashlight feature of this the best. But I wish that the backlight for the clock could be set to stay on. It only works if you push the button. Couldn't make it stay on.
-
WORLD TIME ALARM CLOCK
By Michael G., waretown, NJ in October, 2010 -
Great little tool for traveling. Loud enough and versatile for wherever in the world.
-
Terrific Travel Clock
By Susan B., Englewood, CO in October, 2010 -
I just retured from a trip overseas and could not have been more pleased with this clock. It is easy to read, easy to set the time and alarm, and easy to pack. I put it in a packing cube with my pj's, meds and other night time essentials to make it easy to get set up my room when I arrive. The flashlight let me make my way to the bathroom without without disturbing my roommate. I'll be using it on my nightstand between trips.
-
Super good except for one thing
By Lisa B., Sacramento, CA in October, 2010 -
Long ago I had a travel alarm with a rotating wheel for worldwide time. I wore it out, and have not found a good one since. This clock comes close. You can set your home time once and travel everywhere without having to reset your home time. If you need to call someone, it's easy to find the time where they are. The only thing I don't like is that the clock functions are not easy to set without having the directions at hand. But I can get over that. The clock is also a small flashligh.
-
Handy little torch-clock
By David M., Aberdeen, IT in September, 2010 -
Nice and small yet powerful combination, which save packing space and is veryy useful when travelling internationally with local timeshift dial for many key cities of the world. LED torch is ideal when trying to navigate in the dark around an unfimiliar hotel room etc
-
Definitely a travel necessity.
By Lee B., TN in September, 2010 -
Have found this small clock/flashligjht a great help in avoiding mangled toes while walking through a dark room at night. The time is easily read and the backlighting of the clock face is perfect for tired eyes . Wish the alarm on/off button was on top instead of the side but still a great travel aid

A Little Marvel

The World Time Alarm Clock is easy to use, conveniently sized for packing and handy to use on a trip.
-
A Handy Item
By Holly F., VANCOUVER, BC in September, 2010 -
I had my doubts about the usefulness of taking this travel alarm on my 7 night cruise, but it turned out to be very handy. The only clock in our cabin was on the telephone display and barely legible. This travel clock has a flash light function which was good for finding the washroom at night. The only negative is that it is difficult to set the alarm, and it doesn't come with any instructions. Overall I found it useful and very light weight.
-
Not 72dB
By Monty H., Alexandria, VA in September, 2010 -
I hoped that I could hear this alarm without hearing aids. Bad idea! The clock is cute, but I can't use it to travel.

Great travel item
By Jane N., Kerrville, TX in August, 2010 -
Took this on a short tiip to another time zone. So easy to turn the dial to the new zone.Great to have clock and flashlight in one unit on the night stand at night. Small enough to slip in a purse. Can't wait to take it on an upcomming cruise.
-
Alarm Clock Plus
By Linda S., Harbor City, CA in August, 2010 -
This clock has lots of information on it plus the flashlight on the left end. Directions for setting could have been better and the alarm is not loud enough to wake some people. It worked great for our trip though.
-
The Best!!
By Linda B., CA in August, 2010 -
Love this on multi-time zone cruises! Flashlight comes in handy. Bought extras to give to my grateful cabin stewards at end of cruise.
-
A good clock.
By Kristi W., AB in August, 2010 -
Positive: the world time zones, the count-down feature (lets you wake up to switch camera batteries over, for example, without disturbing the morning alarm), date display, light-weight, flashlight. Negative: beeps at every press of the button (including the light which is needed to see the time in the dark), not as small as other travel alarm clocks, setting the alarm is not self-explanatory w/o instructions, the buttons can be easily pressed and reset while in a suitcase.

Needs a easy quick turn off for the alarm. Do away with the noise it make when you use as a flash light or light the face to see the time.

One Feature to Delete
By Dyann N., Mandeville, LA in July, 2010 -
Took this clock on our cruise this past week; glad I did because our room had no clock in it except the one on the TV, which was inaccurate. Wished the clock would have been backlit at all times, not just when pressing the button on top. The feature I wish would go away is the "beep" when you press the button to display the time. Very irritating in the night when others in the room are trying to sleep. Otherwise, it was pretty much what I expected. I got it on sale, so price was right.

world time alarm clock
By Colleen M., Cascade, MT in July, 2010 -
Great clock; easy to set, has an easily accessible light to see time in the dark. Built in flashlight is really handy. Small size fits into small empty corners in suitcase. Have had no problem with buttons being activated while in suitcase. Great buy!!
-
returned this
By Anthony M., Caspar, CA in July, 2010 -
Most things I find here are useful and efficient... this one, even at a reduced price, seemed clunky and over-sized. I wondered why I had fallen for it, and not finding a good answer, returned it. Thanks for your excellent return policy, by the way. One reason I keep coming back here.
-
Great item; just a little hard to set
By Doug A., Atlanta, GA in July, 2010 -
Terrific size and weight for travel; LOVE all the capabilities; great value; just a little hard to get all the settings initiated, but well worth the few extra minutes to figure it out. Would highly recommend.
-
Handy
By Ken K., Kandy, Sri Lanka, IT in July, 2010 -
Setting the time and alarm is a little tricky with the buttons on the back, but the gadget is as cute as a bug's ear. It even has the temp!
-
Great travel clock.
By lynn b., Fairhope, AL in July, 2010 -
Enjoyed the clock on recent trip to Europe. Made it easy to check what time it was back home before calling. Alarm was reliable. Time was easy to read and the slender style was perfect for handbag or luggage.
-
Almost perfect
By Leslie S., Callicoon, NY in July, 2010 -
Great little travel clock. All the info you need in a nice small package. Only downside is that the flashlight doesn't stay on by itself. You have to continue to hold the button.
-
World Alarm clock

BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT !!
By Paula Y., Winchester, VA in July, 2010 -
My daughter travels the world modeling. These clocks have been a saving grace for us both. At a glance, we know what time it is for the other which makes it great for communication times. It is packed with goodies !! Flashlight, thermometer, alarm, date with day plus you can change time zones in a second !! Great for gifts !! I bought three and plan to buy more !!
-
Great little clock
By Teresa S., Rockville, MD in July, 2010 -
Very lightweight, and you can easily see what time it is where you are and then what time it is at home, or your next destination. Alarm worked great, only problem was no instructions and I cannot figure out how to turn the alarm completely off so it doesn't beep every day now that we are home. Probably something simple, but without the instructions, I have not been able to figure that part out.
-
Compact, Nice Features
By Marty M., San Juan, PR in July, 2010 -
Great travel clock. Love the ease of obtaining time in cities around the world. Only one time zone seems to be missing -- mine!! Atlantic Standard Time, for Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands. Looks like, for six months out of the year, I will have to subtract an hour from New York City, or add an hour to Santiago, Chile! Progressive alarm is just what I wanted. Overall, a good deal.
-
Great function
By Kursty S., Maple Ridge, BC in July, 2010 -
Looking forward to using this World time clock with flashlight on a 40 day trip through Europe I need some incourgement to awaken and it is fun to see all the different time zones with just a rotaintion on the side of the clock. Very convenient. and useful.

-
Inexpensive travel alarm clock
By Ann F., Foster City, CA in July, 2010 -
Great if traveling to another time zone. Very easy to set rather than constantly reseting the time. Came with no instructions and had trouble setting the alarm, but comes with a nice flashlight built in and well lit when needed.

World Time Alarm Clock
By Cheryl F., Gastonia, NC in February, 2010 -
This is the greatest little clock I have ever come across. It is so easy and convenient to use, just have to be careful in packing it that the buttons don't accidentally get pressed. I just keep it in the box and it travels great.
-
Travel clock
By Gail G., Minocqua, WI in February, 2010 -
The buttons for changing the times need to be protected. When I put the clock in my suitcase, the times all change when something in the suitcase touches it. I cannot use it now for travel. Poor design. The alarm is too soft too. I would not recommend this to anyone.
-
Small, Unique, Fun & Functional
By S Noel D., Eureka, CA in February, 2010 -
This clock is really fun ... We have looked at the time at different places several times... We actually used the flashlight when we had an earthquake and lost our electrictiy..... We can't set the days of the week in english... it would be handy for seeing if a place is a day ahead or behind us.... but it's OK.... it's a little hard to set up initially but it's a great little clock. We may take it traveling as it has a temp reading & we can check the time at home if we want to call. :)
-
World time alarm
By Dawn T., LeRoy, IL in February, 2010 -
I will be soon traveling out of the states to Vietnam. This will allow me to know what time it is in my home state and well as the time and day in the country I am in. The clock and alarm are extras that I will probably use.
-
What a great gizmo!
By Jane R., Scottsdale, AZ in February, 2010 -
This is the best travel alarm ever, and we've had quite a few. The built in flashlight is handy in unfamiliar hotel rooms, the clock lights up well and the ability to change to time zones around the world will be useful on our next overseas trip. Now I need to order more as gifts.
-
bothersome alarm controls
By joyce f., charlottesville, VA in February, 2010 -
If you are looking for a clock / flashlight combo this is a great idea !!!! But if you primarily need an alarm to use daily this is problematic... the "alarm set" is multi steps and the "alarm off" function requires lots of noisy beeps if a roommate is trying to sleep in. I gave it away to my host after trying to use it on one trip.
-
World Time Alarm Clock

I love this alarm clock. It lights up and is very portable. I have used it at home every day since I got it!
-
World Time Alarm Clock
By Susan M., Golden, CO in February, 2010 -
Why does it have to make a beep whenever I light it up at night to see the time? Very annoying to my husband. Either be silent or let the time show always.
-
World Time Alarm Clock
By Cheryl F., Gastonia, NC in January, 2010 -
Very functional and lightweight. Easy to use. The flashlight is an added bonus for when you have to get up in the middle of the night.
-
Great little travel companion
By Kim L., IT in January, 2010 -
Been looking for a good travel clock for a few years, and this was the closest I've found. Love the temperature and flashlight function especially when I travel (I use it at home too) and am in the rural areas. Yes, the buttons could be recessed to prevent re-programming by mistake, but I solved that by gluing a thin foam strip below the buttons to shield them from being accidentally pressed. Otherwise a great travel device.
-
Alarm Clock sound
By John W. O., Sacramento, CA in December, 2009 -
Only thing I wish is that the alarm sound was louder. For us oldies it's a bit hard to hear otherwise it is a fine product
-
great size
By Linda S., Greensboro, NC in November, 2009 -
Easy to pack and dial is easy to read.
-
Nice, but...
By Tom D., FL in October, 2009 -
This is a satisfactory travel alarm with a built-in flashlight, and the rotating world time dial lets you easily compare the time at your location with the time at home. One problem is that the operating buttons are not recessed and don't lock. If the flashlight is packed against anything else, the button can turn the light on and deplete the batteries, and if you touch the buttons when you pick up the clock you can inadvertently change the settings.
