Magellan's Tweakers Portable Mini Speakers

I bought two sets of these...the blue and the red (one set for me, the other for my husband). We love these...turned up the volume to the hghest level to give them a try and were surprised by the quality of the sound plus no distortion...clear treble, clear bass. Great for any type of music and take up almost no packing space in your carry-on.

I HAVE USED THE "TWEAKERS" ON 2 OCCASIONS WHILE TRAVELLING. THE 3RD TIME I TRIED TO USE THEM, I PLUGGED THEM IN AS BEFORE AND THE "ON" LIGHT FAILED TO COME ON AND NO SOUND CAME OUT OF THE SPEAKERS. I HAD ALSO ORDERED A PAIR FOR MY SON FOR CHRISTMAS SO I HOPE HIS LAST LONGER THEN MY SET....I'M NOT IMPRESSED AS I THOUGHT THEY LOOKED LIKE A QUALITY ITEM. I DON'T KNOW IF THE TINY WIRES INSIDE THE RETRACTABLE CORDS BROKE OR IF THE POWER SWITCH FAILED. JUST THAT THEY DON'T WORK.....$#$$#

For the money I expected more performance. The sound was merely OK and the rate that it sucked the life from my iPod was very fast. I would recommend these only for travel with ready power.

These are very appealing visually. Small,elegant and quite honestly, adorable! I had the exact same experience with two successive sets of Blue tweakers.They charged up, worked well for a few days, they cut out COLD.Additionally, the second blue set would not close the expanded pop up chamber.Each time,as usual, Magellans STELLAR customer service personnel sent me a new set ( even before I returnedthe old sets!) The cust. service rep. confirmed that the only problems they were having with the Tweakers were with the colored ones.It seems that the white light up ones are made by a different manufacturer. Here's hoping that this quality control issue is resolved.Again , I never cease to be amazed by Magellans level of customer service( I give them five stars). I spend money only at companies who are sensitive to customers needs, and Magellans are # 1 in my book. My rating is one star reflecting the Blue speakers. I will do an updated review after I have had my white ones for a few months.

Just what I wanted, and exactly as it appears.

I purchased Magellan's Tweakers Portable Mini Speakers several months ago and took them with me on a cruise through French Polynesia. For such small speakers, they performed quite well in a cruise ship cabin. I was surprised and pleased. I liked them well enough to recently purchase another set for a friend.

Took these on a 4-day backpacking trip and enjoyed having a couple hours of music in the evening. They are lightweight enough to make it worth bringing them. I like the way the cords retract, keeping everything neat and organized. Working great so far, and still on the first battery charge. May not use them much at home, but these are part of our camping gear now for sure.

I take with me from room to room when tasks make ear buds impractical. I'm not an audiofile so the sound when listening to podcasts or audible books is fine.

These are very cool little speakers; very compact and easy to use, they hold their charge for an amazing amount of time. We used them recently at a night around the campfire for at least two hours, plus a three hour ride home with them perched on the dashboard with the iPod, and still ticking for another couple of hours while gardening before having to recharge. Don't compare to Bose speaker quality, but for the reasonable cost, very good listening outside, in car, or anywhere really. So small in their case they fit easily into almost any pocket or bag. I rate as a 5 based on overall performance and ease of use. So far, no problems.

For such a small pair of speakers, these Tweakers put out some nice sounds, verses listening from my iPhone speakers. They hold a charge for hours of listenings to music. Magellans was very efficient in replacing my first set of speakers which kept shorting out.

my 16 year old grandson loves them. Small, very good sound, not as much bass as he would sometimes like, but something he can slip into a pocket and share his music from his ipod classic with his friends whereever he happens to be. They have been dropped several times but have held up very well.

These little speakers are better than described! The cables are self storing so nothing gets lost and comes with a cute little sack. Tiny and packable but with absolutely huge sound and geat clarity, better than one would expect for speakers that size. Came charged so I could try them right away.

So far, I have found these to be very nice little speakers. I have not had the chance to test the battery life on them, but have found the sound to be acceptable. You can hear the high and low notes well. Certainly, you will not have the accoustic performance of your stereo or powered computer speakers, but for listening at your desk or in the dining room over dinner, these are very satisfactory.

Speakers are AWESOME.
