Magellan's Travel With Ease Skirt (Petite)

I wrote a previous review stating that the khaki was/is my fave go-to skirt on my SE Asia business trips. I'm not sure what was wrong with the black, but I finally gave it away as the wrinkles seemed almost permanent and it was too much hassle. I treated them both the same way, but the black was a true disappointment. I cannot recommend the black, but the khaki is amazing, and amazingly light. I too, find that it clings in the heat, and I always have to pull it down if I've been sitting. No big deal - great travel skirt.

I bought this skirt both in Walnut and in Blue. They are very comfortable, lightweight and resist spills. I've watched water bead up and roll off them. The pockets are large and it's nice to have a zipper on them to keep valuables in. The wind did pick up my hem a few times but quick hand action diverted disaster. In hot climates, the skirt sticks to my legs and back-end while sitting. I grew accustomed to grabbing the back hem as I stood up to pull it away from my legs. I'll search or make a lightweight, cotton slip to wear under it from now on in hot places. I don't think either skirt is see through, even in the sun. The only other problem I've had is the zipper on the blue skirt. There is no top hook, only the invisible zipper. Once it gets up to the waistband seam, it stops and takes some tugging to get past that seam. It also requires holding the 2 sides together at the top while tugging past the seam. Three hands would be beneficial but since I have only 2, I've resorted to putting this skirt on backwards to zip it, then turning it around once zipped. No such problem with the Walnut skirt so I know it's a problem with the sewing. Also, the seam just below the zipper has started to come undone. It probably just needs a back-stitch or two which many manufacturers don't do. I'll do that myself when I get home.

Light weight fabric makes this skirt great for warm weather. I liked having pockets to put things in and the security pocket is an added plus. I usually hesitate to order clothes on line because you never know if they will fit, but this skirt is true to size and I did not have a problem. I am very happy this this skirt and I am sure I will get lots of wear from it.

I ordered this skirt in navy and walnut and love them both. They fit perfectly, the fabric is lovely, and the workmanship is excellent, typical of Magellan's. They are appropriate for many occasions and pack well, taking very little space,

I've been travelling for 5 weeks in SE Asia and two of my skirts are the Travel with Ease. They are amazingly light weight, and the khaki one is completely wrinkle free. Interestingly, the black one has, and maintains, wrinkles altho they both feel the same. I was disappointed in the black, as I'd hoped it would be the one I could dress up slightly and use at night. Easy to wash out and dry. Adds almost no weight to my suitcase, and as I'm travelling and shopping for business, weight is at a true premium. Combined with my Ex-Officio underwear, I've never traveled so lightly.

I needed a light weight travel skirt which looks nice either worn with casual or dressy tops. This is perfect. I can wash it in the sink and it will dry over night. It doesn't take much space in my suitcase so I won't hesitate to take it along. My only wish is that it came in more colors. I would love to get another in a lighter color.
