Need one more color
By Leslie K., Belfair, WA in September, 2012 -
Absolutely love this vest, the very best travel vest that is made. Really light and can pack a lot of stuff in it. Have several colors now, would love to see one come out in a grey color,.....please, please, please!

Travel Vest
By Nancy B., Madison, WI in August, 2012 -
I was pleased with the appearance, weight , and usability of this travel vest. The one thing that I hoped for, but did not find, was a pocket that was large enough to hold an I-pad.

travel vest
By Carol D., montpelier, VT in August, 2012 -
I plan to use one - a Navy color would be great. Also, the sizes are unisex so I had to return the medium to get a small. I am a woman and usually get medium so the sizing chart did not help the best.

Best invention since sliced bread!!
By Carole P., Romeoville, IL in August, 2012 -
This vest was the absolutely greatest purchase I have made for travel items. I couldn't get used to not having my purse with me, as some people who wear this vest do. But I made great use of the pockets--you could drop your camera in as you visited museums, etc., gum, tissues, passport, tickets. I could go on and on. It was extremely hot in Moscow, so we had to dry things out when we returned to our Viking ship. I took along some Woolite and rinsed out my vest after every walking tour. It was always dry and ready to go the next morning. I would give it more stars if I could. Thanks, Magellan.

Makes travel much easier
By Dave O., Victoria, BC in July, 2012 -
This vest is useful for taking things through airport security, because you just have to remove it rather than emptying a bunch of pockets. It's handy on the plane because you don't have to take a bunch of stuff from your bag before you sit; it's all there. And it is handy when walking around, because you can keep everything with you.

Love this vest!

Feminime, practical, nicely made. Works with skirts, jeans, shorts, etc. A great buy.Am planning on buying another.

Love It!
By Billie H., Mesa, AZ in July, 2012 -
I'm a photographer and alway have a dozen absolutely necessary items that I'm digging for when the perfect shot comes up. I've had other vests that were bulky and hot; this is a perfect light weight, not bulky, and with enough pockets to hold all my needed items. I also travel a lot and like the idea of being able to stuff everything in the pockets and run it through security without having to dig everything out of pockets and stuff it into a bag or put it into an easily overlooked bin. Perfect fit, easy to wear, and handy.

A Little More Would Go A Long Way
By DL H., Shepherdstown, WV in July, 2012 -
I have used several travel vests and like this one, but it could be improved. $20 more would be worth some improvements. Advantages: No collar! Washes well. Range of colors. The best part of any vest is having one place for everything, espcially when going through airport security, and this one serves that purpose. Disadvantages: Hot! Pockets too small for glasses case, smarth phones. Water bottle falls out of pocket when you lean over - needs to be closable. Snap strap should stretch to accomodate full pockets. Please make this vest more breathable, with bigger pockets, and a secure water bottle pocket, and in a darker, non-olive khaki.

I bought this travel vest for my husband who travels frequently for business. The large fits him perfectly.

Great for airports, travel, local errands!
By Carol W., Columbus, OH in July, 2012 -
Wonderful to load this & send it thru security at airport, as noted! Saved hassle! When I received this, I wore it for a day of local errands, and knew I would love it. Worked well for recent European trip, wore it for some conference days & sightseeing, not just travel. This can be your in-town vest for busy errand days. I will add a button & loop to some inside pockets, just for added security. Minor fix. Wore zipped sometimes, & love snap tab for other times to control the weight of loaded pockets. Will ALWAYS use this in future for air travel security checks! would be great for theme parks also, as noted earlier.

Stolen!
By Helen L., Fleming Island, FL in July, 2012 -
I made the mistake of allowing my husband to try my Travel Vest - result - he claimed it as his own! This is the second vest ordered and this time it's mine. We love the pocket configuration that alleviates carrying a larger tote. The front snap closure is handy if one doesn't need to use the zipper. Sizing is true.

Star lost along with double zipper!
By Sheelagh C., Cedarburg, WI in July, 2012 -
I have two of these vests and love them. I ordered a third. It has the "standard" zipper. This takes a star away from the perfect vest. The double zipper is needed for short waisted people because the unisex vest is nearly hip length for us, and the double zipper permitted loosening of the circumference at the hip when worn for long periods of sitting (car, train, plane) without compromising the fit of the top portion and perfect placement of pockets. The new vest will not be as useful, or be worn as frequently as I had planned. I am bummed!

Definitely a "Must Have"
By Patty K., Arlington, TX in June, 2012 -
I bought my first vest for a trip to Rome - enough pockets to eliminate carrying a purse - my money and passport totally secured in the inner pockets - my camera was the only item I carried (around my neck), Being hands-free is the way to travel while on a tour. Since then, I have worn my vest to Spain, London, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. I recently bought two more (for color variation with my wardrobe). This Christmas, I'm going to present my friends and family (who love to travel too) with a vest of their own! Everything you need is right on your body! Buy one, you'll love it!

travel vest
By sheila m., Warwick, RI in June, 2012 -
Perfect! We're going to Italy this fall and have been warned about the pickpockets in the bigger cities. There are plenty of pockets to store stuff (some hidden) and it's very light weight if the weather is warm. Superb quality. Excellent solution.!

Perfect fit is right
By Barbara D., Nevada City, CA in June, 2012 -
Just returned yesterday from the vacation I orderered the vest for. I was able to go without a purse the whole time, using the vest and a Pac Safe travel wallet. It as a great way to travel in big cities, hopping on and off buses, the metro in Boston and just walking around. The weather got warm but because the vest was light, I was able to continue using it for the whole trip. Great addition to my travel wardrobe.

Boys and Girls
By Jeffrey W., Croton on Hudson, NY in June, 2012 -
We ordered two, one for my wife, sizing and fit were perfect. Mine fit well but the sewing around the bottom of the V-neck left something to be desired. It was not like my wife's which had a smooth transition from the V of the neck to the zipper. Magellan took it back with no problem. I replaced it with another Magellan product.

nice vest, great pockets, size is off
By aj r., WA in June, 2012 -
This vest is nice looking, subtle, lite and I like the number of pockets. Going by the sizing chart though, the item I received is too big and rather bulky. I guess too big is better than too small, but just right would have been great.

Terrific Travel Vest!
By Chrysande L., Marquette, MI in June, 2012 -
I rarely carry a purse or handbag ... even if wearing a nice dress. I now have the Travel Vest in all five colors, so I can easily find one to match my outfit. The vest IS my handbag, and I never have to worry about forgetting it somewhere. The only thing that causes this rating to be four stars instead of five is that the cell phone pocket on two of the three vests I just bought (the olive and the dark brown) is too narrow for my cell phone. Is this a design change with the new colors or a quality control issue? Vests I bought earlier DO have the correct size cell phone pocket.

Purse no more
By Anonymous, Gainesville, VA in June, 2012 -
I am tired of carrying purses in my everyday life. The travel vest has become my stand-in for a purse. All the necessary items fit in the pockets, leaving my hands free. It may even work when I actually do travel! In the meantime, I have achieved purse freedom.
-
Very hot
By Anonymous, North Richland Hills, TX in June, 2012 -
My husband and I both wore our vests. We loved the security, and the pockets for our day trips. But as the weather got hotter we were very hot and sweaty. I tried under a shirt and I tried over shirt. When we were in Ireland, Scotland, etc we were fine but when we got to Paris we were very hot. My husband would like all inside pockets to also have zippers for extra security and if some other type of fabric (like cotton) or more vented (like shirts with back flap maybe) would make it cooler for warmer weather areas. Overall loved the freedom and security of the vestsWill continue to use them. These are just suggestions.

Came back for a second one!
By Veronica K., Livermore, CA in May, 2012 -
These are the second vests my husband and I have purchased. I really loved the convenience of being able to go without a purse when traveling in this age of limited carry-ons and airport security. It's very easy to just take off the vest and put it in the tray rather than emptying pockets and refilling after going through security. We used them every day as we traveled for a month, feeling very confident that our things were secure. We liked having the 2 vests so we could wash one and wear the other. I liked having black and the terra cotta makes a nice change and goes with everything. I was afraid it might be too orange, but it is more of a coppery color - very rich looking. My other vest is black, which I wear in the cooler months. Both wash very easily.

Travel Vest
By carol k., Yorba Linda, CA in May, 2012 -
I ordered the least expensive travel vest for $55.00 and it is the best! I wore it back east for ten days and did not need a purse. Everything I needed fit into the pockets of my vest and it is very comfortable. It is also easily washed and dried and a perfectaddition to my travel wardrobe. I recommend it highly.

Good but not perfect
By Anonymous, Port Matilda, PA in May, 2012 -
I still am waiting for my trip to use it- but have already determined that my smart phone does not fir in the "cell phone pocket", neither does my husbands (which is smaller). There are plenty of alternate pockets, but this was disappointing.

A good choice for a warmer weather vest. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
-
lightweight. Lovely color
By Marge M., Jenkintown, PA in April, 2012 -
I bought this travel vest because of the color. I have other vests that are beige. This one is also very lightweight with a nice "hand" I love having pockets to store my items for hands-free traveling

Magellans Travel Vest
By Paul C., Shepherdstown, WV in April, 2012 -
Your Travel Vest is nearly perfect for my uses. Ample pockets store my stuff easily. Its' light-weight material is wonderful, and to snap or zip to close it, is a useful choice. One suggestion: one of the inner pockets could be made wide enough for my iPad. I've thought of doing it myself, but question whether I can. Thanx, Magellans. --Paul C, Shepherdstown, WV

Cell phone pocket way too small!
By Gwen P., Las Vegas, NV in April, 2012 -
For the most part, this vest meets it's requirements for fit, fabric, location of pockets and garment weight. The pocket for the cell phone does not! Most people who carry smart phones, have them in some sort of protective covering and the size of the pocket is just too small. Update this feature and you have a perfect vest.
-
indipensable
By Beth P., Brentwood, CA in April, 2012 -
I bought this vest for a trip to Germany and Italy to visit friends. I wore it nearly every day. While certainly not a fashion statement, it is the best purchase for traveling I've made in quite awhile. So many pockets for stashing everything you'd normally dig around in your purse or backback for; having hands free is so convenience and secure. Although kind of pricey, turned out to be well worth it for my purposes.

Fantastic Vest
By Nancy S., San Angelo, TX in April, 2012 -
I bought this vest for an upcoming trip, but I decided to go ahead and wear it on a short trip and I am extremely satisfied. The material is lightweight, doesn't wrinkle, and the pockets are extremely useful. In fact, I wasn't weighted down with a purse and still had my billfold, cellphone, sunglasses, etc with me. I sew and this vest is very well made. I am going to order it in black; just wish they had it in red. Great vest!!

I purchased 2 of these, one for my husband and me. We are going on a trip and I didn't want to have to carry a purse, beltbag or back pack for the things I need to have with me all the time. I tried it our and there is room for everything I need, it's light weight. We both love them. Thanks for having these available.Karen

No iPad pocket!

Women's or petite sizes please!
By Anonymous, MO in March, 2012 -
I just used this vest on a trip to a national park and found it very handy. However, I am a 5'2" woman and the vest is just too long for me. Unisex sizes work for manufacturers and retailers, but not on real people. Women's and petite sizes, would work better for real people. I would have let you publish my review totally anonymously, but not with any identifying info.

Light Weight Vest
By Jim C., Santa Fe, NM in March, 2012 -
It is hard to find a good lite-weight vest with enough, but not too many, pockets. This one fills the bill pretty good. However, it has one pocket on the lower right side that is too small for a cell phone and too deep for keys. Can't figure out a good use for it yet. Also, mine came with the slide and foot on the left for a woman. It works, but takes some getting used to.

awesome look
By Joyce S., Takoma Park, MD in January, 2012 -
I was in the airport in San Jose Costa Rica when I noticed a woman in this wonderful looking vest I couldn't believe how good it looked and how good she looked in it. I like vest so when she approached me in the line to get our tickets I admired the vest and asked her about it. She was more then happy to show my friend and I all of the great pockets, which are marvelous for travel and also show us the label. She explained that it was a travel vest and I made a mental note to do an internet search when I got home. I had no trouble finding it on the internet because of the style it was easily recognizable, once again the great lines/design and I have since purchased one for my significant other as well as myself. I can hardly wait for my next trip so that i can wear it

Travel vest
By Paul T., Monmouth, OR in December, 2011 -
I really like the cut and style of this vest, however, I would like to see it made in a slightly sturdier fabric such as ripstop cotton or heavier nylon. I use the pockets alot and the weight of everything makes it sag and not stay looking as nice. Secondly, I would replace the velcro closures which wear out easily on many of the pockets with zippers. This is the second one I have bought and my wife is going to make some of these modifications to better suit my needs. The length and cut is what brought me back to buy a second one!

The perfect Find
By Judy R., St Louis, MO in December, 2011 -
Life dream of African safari will be realized in 2012. Have searched in stores and internet and selected Magellan's s Travel Vest. It is light weight, good fit, lots of pockets and just the right color. Throughout the year I love taking pictures so will use this now and in the future. It frees my hands for the getting that perfect Golden Moment photograph.

No purse required
By Ronda G., Salem, OR in December, 2011 -
We returned from a 10 day trip this week. I bought the vest to replace carrying a bag in several Florida theme parks. Security has to inspect purses before entry at the theme parks and the lines are long. It was wonderful to breeze right through security and still carry all my items. ID, money, phone, hand sanitizer, Diabetic testing kit, medication, lip balm, eye drops, and hand lotion all fit easily in the exterior and interior pockets, Comfortable and easily rinses out in a sink overnight to hang dry and be ready the next morning.

So Much Better than Hottevests!
By Martha B., Midland, TX in December, 2011 -
We got our vests back in 2006, and have worn them on every trip since. While we got hottevests for our airport trips, they are cumbersome, and really only good for getting more stuff through the airport. I love the cut of our Magellan's vests. Having neck problems, I really can't stand any weight on my neck, and the Magellan's vest does this wonderfully.. We returned from a cruise, and on all our shore excursions, we didn't carry a bag. We started at the Arizona Memorial, where most bags are forbidden, so we had to pack accordingly, and as it turned out, we didn't carry a bag on any of our excursions. My extra camera batteries, rocket blaster, kleenex, wipes, etc all made it in the vest. In hot climates, it's wonderful! The velcro stopped sticking a while back, so during the summer, i replaced it. We have the obsolete two way zipper edition of the vest, and will use that model until it falls apart. Please bring back the two way zipper! Security is tight even at seaports, so we moved all our stuff out of our pants pockets into our vests, and simply removed the vests.

Travel Vest
By Peggy V., Coral Gables, FL in December, 2011 -
I bought this vest for my husband and me and they are the best--hold passport, money, incidentals without being bulky. They're lightweight and go with anything. So I bought my sister and her husband one for Christmas. They're great.

Versatile Vest
By Mary H., Phoenix, AZ in December, 2011 -
No bulk, yet has enough pockets to keep the essentials, keeping hands free. I can easily wear a light jacket over the vest with comfort. The v neck proves to be more comfortable with any top worn. This vest is versatile and best for warmer to cool weather wear (it does not really provide the warmth that a heavier, high neck vest would). It folds and packs small, easily fits in a purse or luggage.

If you buy two . . .
By Bonnie K., Jackson Hole, WY in November, 2011 -
I bought two vests - one black, one tan - and one fit perfectly, the other was at least an inch and a half smaller. The vests had apparently been made in two different lots, or by two manufacturers. But never fear, Magellan's took good care of me! I called them to explain, and they sent another vest in the color that had not fit. When comparing the three vests, I could easily see that the zippers on the two vests that fit started at different points, indicating, to me, at least, different manufacturers or different lots. In any event, the newly received vest matched the one that fit, and I returned the one that had been too small. I was very pleased with Magellan's way of taking care of this for me. And, after all that, no need to carry a purse or a waistpack when traveling! The vest holds everything I need. Thank you, Magellan's!

Great travel vest!
By Helen L., Fair Oaks Ranch, TX in November, 2011 -
I gave this vest to my brother for his birthday. We are all going to Europe in the Spring of '12. My husband also has this vest in tan. It has become a staple of his when we travel - great for layering & the pockets are great, too!
-
great travel vest
By gail k., ON in October, 2011 -
I have bought 3 of these vests as they are perfect for travel when you don't wish to carry anything, Also their light eight means they don't add much weight to your suitcase.

Practical for travel
By L N., Lenexa, KS in October, 2011 -
The vest is very nice and lightweight too. Comes in SO handy when travelling. Load it up and take it off to go through security. Makes so many items readily accessible. Will be a staple for years to come.
-
As Advertised
By Diane L., Vienna, VA in October, 2011 -
My husband was happy with this vest on a recent trip to Europe. He had no problem with pocket size for storing electronics and valuables. During hot weather it was rather hot--a mesh back (not just the lining) would be better. The interior pocket configuration could be better. He wanted a large pocket with zipper security on the interior, and a separate pocket on the interior big enough to hold 8.5 x 11 inch papers, maps, etc.
-
travel vest
By Syl C., Citrus Heights, CA in September, 2011 -
Being a petite female, I was apprehensive about ordering this vest. I ordered an XS and I'm happy to say, that it fit very well. I liked the neutral color and it's lite enough to either wear on the outside of a t-shirt and/or underneath a jacket. I like the snap in the center of the vest as it keeps the vest in balance when items tend to weigh it down. Several zippered pockets on the inside and outside keeps secured items safe and I like the use of Velcros for easy opening and closing. Best use if for travel documents, cell phone, digital camera, sunglasses and small coin/credit holder, and cosmetics and any other small items. Not good for bulky items as the fabric is thin (but strong) and the item would bulge out and vest will not look well. Vest is very functional and eliminates having to carry a handbag.
-
good, but misses the mark utility-wise
By G H., Carlsbad, CA in September, 2011 -
For a travel vest, utility is job one. The garment has several pluses. In particular, it is light weight -- not bulky; wearable in warm (but not hot) climates [don't get this if you're looking to stay warm in cold climates!]. It looks fairly good; without a collar it's a bit cowboy-ish (it's up to you whether that's a good thing or bad). The fabric is comfortable, with a good hand. It's cut a bit trim, which for many Americans makes it tight. HOWEVER, the pockets... what can I say, they just don't pass the test. I don't want (or need) 20 gazillion pockets. What I want are a few, well-placed, usable pockets. This vest has a few pockets; more than necessary on the outside. But what are there are too small, and too difficult to access. Hand-warmer style would have greater utility (even though the fabric is so light that you wouldn't use them as such, plus the putting one's hands in them would stretch-out the thin fabric something fierce, but, regardless, that's where one instinctively reaches to quickly put something; hand-warmer style pockets are a must-have). The most important pockets, in my book, are the interior ones. Especially inside chest pocket, where one would like to slip one's boarding pass. The pocket is there, but it uses the mesh lining of the vest as the lining for the pocket. The corners of a tri-fold piece of paper fit but get hung up in holes of the mesh, crumpling the paper and not slipping in quickly and flawlessly -- which is very thing you want when you're on the go in an airport. In sum, it's a good, extremely light-weight vest, that will meet your basic needs, but will do so with some frustrations. That said, I haven't found anything better (light weight being important to me; there are plenty of heavier [warmer] travel vests out there though). With a few modifications to the pockets, the Magellan vest will get five stars from me. (By the way, a dark, rich brown color would be good.)

Vacation
By Mike K., VAlparaiso, IN in September, 2011 -
My wife and I purchased these vests for our 40th wedding aniversary trip to England, Scotland and Ireland. They were absolutely wonderful! Lightweight (the couple who went with us had heavier weight vests and were hot) so the vests are good in most temperatures above 40 degrees. Great going through the airports and would hold everything needed for day trips. GREAT BUY!!!

Just as I hoped
By Barbara P., AZ in September, 2011 -
I researched many travel vests and read the reviews on all of them. We've had other vests with multiple pockets but they were heavy and tiresome to wear. This vest lived up to my hopes. We travel a lot, but these were ordered in time for our trip to Germany. I ordered two in black--one for husband, one for me. If worn over a black top, it is practically invisible, blends well. It is lightweight, so not too hot when it is hot. I wore it both under and over light jackets. We both loved two of the pockets: the left inside zipper pocket (secure passport stash) and the large slip-in pocket on the right inside (for boarding passes). The vest washes easily, dries very quickly, weighs next to nothing for packing if needed (although any time we were in route, we were wearing them). Iliked having pockets for a pen, tissue, small snack, or anything else on the plane so that I didn't have to dig in my under-seat bag. We did not find them large for size: I am size 6 and medium was adequate. Husband wears size large and the large was not too large. I would like if they were just slightly longer, to cover tops hanging lower, and for a longer silhouette. Maybe for women, just a slight nip at the waist for shaping? Otherwise, loved them, just as I hoped.

World Traveler
By Linda Y., CA in August, 2011 -
Wore this jacket throughout our East African Safari. Great to have all the pockets except I would have liked to have had a flat pocket in the lower back either zippered or Velcroed for brochures, bookets, etc. to counter the weight of items I placed in the front pockets. Didn't particularly like the "pull" on the back of my neck from the vest when I had my camera in one of the front pockets when I wanted to be "hands free."

Bigger zipper pockets
By Elizabeth C., Muncie, IN in August, 2011 -
I really like this vest, it has lots of pockets, is lightweight, wrinkle resistant. I do wish more of the pockets had zippers, and that the lower zipper pocket was just a little larger, the smallest wallet I can use for all my everday stuff is a very tight fit in & out of the zipper section. The littlest pocket is too small for my cell phone, but perfect for hotel key. I now have this vest in 3 colors.
-
Throw away your purse
By Donna S., Ridgecrest, CA in August, 2011 -
You won't need a purse when travelling with this vest. I recently went on a trip and wore this vest everywhere I went, freeing up my hands. I felt safer having everything in pockets. You can have your purse grabbed by a thief but not your vest. I was so thrilled with it that I decided to buy another vest in black.

I purchased this vest for my son who likes to carry his wallet, keys, glasses, etc. in a vest instead of filling his pants pockets. The lightweight, no collar, no button style is perfect for wearing over shirts or t-shirts and under jackets or hoodies. The choice of colors is perfect. The size range is excellent. It fills all of his requirements and he loves it! Please don't change anything!

a real necessity
By Andrena B., punta gorda, FL in August, 2011 -
I used the vest for the first time on a Road Scholar trip to Poland. This was the handiest vest ever!!! I hung my camera around my neck and just slipped it into a small pocket on the top of the vest and it was handy to reach when I needed it. The zippered pockets were a must to put money or a credit card in. The vest is also quite attractive to wear. It's just a handy-dandy thing to travel with for safety.

Exactly what I've been searching for!
By Carol N., Rolling Meadows, IL in July, 2011 -
This vest is the travel vest I've been looking for - lightweight, lots of pockets, fits very well. The only complaint I have is that there are no 'side' pockets to put your hands in. Otherwise, it's terrific!

Best Vest
By Thos. W., Chicago, IL in June, 2011 -

unisex could be improved
By Carolyn R., Alton, NH in June, 2011 -
I really like this travel vest and wear it often. My only comment is that because it is unisex it does not allow much room for women's upper chest. I can zip mine, but it squashes my bosom. Otherwise I am very pleased with it.

A travel "must have!"
By Elizabeth P., Leesburg, VA in June, 2011 -
This vest is wonderful! It is so lightweight that it doesn't make you too warm if you have heavier layers under it, so you can wear it in all seasons! It has so many great pockets that you can find a place for all your small items! Now that I have this, I can hardly wait to travel again!

Very comfortable
By Sharon S., Santa Rosa, CA in June, 2011 -
I have been looking for a long time for a vest that is comfortable and lightweight. Found it with this vest! I am a 69 year woman with a very broad back and this fits me. Thank you Magellan!

The vest
By Renee M., Clayton, CA in June, 2011 -
I like this. It is thin, so can be used in warmer weather as well as cold. Nice pockets.
-
Yes and no
By Dianne F., IT in June, 2011 -
Love the lightness of the products but would have preferred more velcro on the pockets...I will sew some extra velcro myself on the top of some pockets to safeguard some things toppling out especially when using Asian squat toilets! Having said that I am really looking forward to using them on my Cambodia/Vietnam adventure trip''they will definitely give me peace of mind.
-
great vest
By gail k., ON in June, 2011 -
loved the vest so much that i ordered another one in a different colour; my friend tried mibe on and ordered onew as well. Great not to have to carry a bag when travelling

Travel Vest - Great item!
By Barbara C., Ann Arbor, MI in June, 2011 -
Actually, I have purchased 2 of the travel vests. One is black and one is terra cota. The vests are light weight, plenty of pockets, both inside and out. Looks good and is very functional.

By judith g., Chillicothe, IL in June, 2011 -
No more purse! No more extra baggage! Secure from pickpockets! I now own 2 and have bought 2 for friends as gifts. Lightweight, cool -- best piece of clothing I have owned in years!

A Vest that Travels
By Jon T., Alexandria, VA in June, 2011 -
A light, comfortable vest for summer travel. In other seasons you could wear it under a coat. The Supplex is tougher than you may think. Offers a lot of pockets, one could alway argue how many are enough or too many. What I want is something to hold a passport, tickets, money, credit cards, sunglasses or glasses. The only thing lacking on this is a water bottle pocket and maybe a back pouch.

Travel Vest
By Sandra E., Davis, CA in June, 2011 -
Excellent vest. Very light weight, packable, secure zip for passport, perfect for planes, walking in odd cities, and looks nice too.
-
A most helpful travel item in 3rd world countries
By Anonymous, Norwell, MA in June, 2011 -
This vest with its two inside pockets - one with a zipper and one without is undoubtedly one of the best deterrents against local pick-pocket thefts. The light weight is a feature for humid, high temperature sites. The outside pockets are sized to be most useful for small travel diaries and other items needed on a day to day basis. My suggestion is to include this item in your packing for whatever is your travel destination.

perfect for traveling
By Joan B., MO in May, 2011 -
This is my second Magellan travel vest. The first one is black with a single zipper. Decided to purchase a second one in khaki with a double zipper. Love the double zipper! Sizing is technically a men's sizing so ladies who wear size large should purchase a medium. The double zipper comes in handy for zipping the top of the vest and leaving the hip area open for extra comfort. It is lightweight enough for the summer. The number of pockets work for me and doesn't look bulky. Looks great and is perfect for security through airports and on cruise shore excursions.

new lightweight travel vests
By Anonymous, Gloucester, MA in May, 2011 -
Comfortable, lovely to have so many pockets, when packed it will take up very little room in a suitcase. I was disappointed that the size Large did not have the same zipper style as the medium ( so that the zipper could be opened from the bottom as well as the top);that would make it much easier to open partially when sitting on a plane or train or a car for that matter. I am glad that there is the tab fastener option.
-
Light & comfortable
By gERALDINE P., Beavercreek, OH in May, 2011 -
Feels good on-light & comfortable. Like the inside pockets especially zippered one. It will serve me well on my trip to Italy in ten days.
-
Good travel organizer
By C H., IL in April, 2011 -
This vest offers enough pockets to handle the many small items needed during travel. Especially helpful during the airport security checks instead of having to empty all one's pockets, etc. Comfortable and lightweight too.
-
Great for the riide
By Jesse L., TX in April, 2011 -
Both the vest or the many pocketed shirts are great for keeping items convinent. The vest has the added advantage of droping off for a trip through the airport xray machine and back on, on the other side without having to fumble with a change dish.
-
easy exchange
By Diane C., Gainesville, GA in April, 2011 -
I ordered one size and needed another. Plus, I did not like the double zipper. The catalog listed an updated vest with one zipper. So, when I called to ask about the return, the gentleman who helped me said he would send the size I needed with the one zip and with no shipping! So, of course I ordered some more things I needed. The new one zip is just the right weight and I love all the pockets that are not too touristy looking. Thanks for great people in customer service!

great jacket should be a shirt-jacket
By Ruth S., Seattle, WA in March, 2011 -
I am so pleased that Magellans decided to offer this item in more colors, as it is a great product. I have read the other reviews before me and I have to agree that this one runs a little large - since it has an open front with a zipper, that kinda makes up for the fit, but I was pleased with the size I did order (I was afraid it wouldn't fit). This jacket is thin enough that it could be worn as a shirt and layered with another jacket - the pockets are well-made, though they can't hold big items
-
Light and versitile
By Julie W., Red Rock, IT in March, 2011 -
I love my Magellan Travel Vest! Being so light, it packs well .... but because it is so light, it is a dream to wear! I guess my only "complaint" is that I would have liked the pockets a little bigger or to have better access to make it a bit more all-purpose.
-
Versatility and Style
By Joan M., Los Altos, CA in March, 2011 -
Different travel vests always catch my eye, and this is the second year I have focused on yours. Why Not I asked myself? This light weight, unisex vest in several choices of color arrived very promptly and I couldn't be happier with it. It will be easy to pack for our trip to Santa Fe, but also looks good around town for shopping. I may order a black one as well. Thanks for an excellent and well described product!
-
Light travel vest
By Susie C., KS in March, 2011 -
Love the vests - ordered "large" in black and khaki. Quite often husband and I wear XL, but ordered L after reading other comments on line.. The large fit my husband great and I returned one L and ordered M for me. Super. Great vest.

Bring Back the Two-Way Zipper
By Martha B., Midland, TX in March, 2011 -
It loses one star because you removed the two-way zipper. We've had this vest for several years, and really like it. I removed one star since the velcro no longer sticks well, and the second star since it no longer has the two way zipper. We were seriously considering replacing it with another when the time comes, but probably won't now. Keep the snap tab. We like that too. We also like the multiple pockets, especially a zipp For us, the lack of a two way zipper is a deal breaker.
-
Travel Vest
By Michele M., San Diego, CA in March, 2011 -
I bought this item because saw someone wearing it and they raved about it's usefulness. I haven't yet worn it but they seem to run large. I wear a large top and I could have easily ordered a medium in this vest.
-
Better than a day pack!!!!
By Nancy M., Phoenix, AZ in March, 2011 -
Don't have to remove to get to my items!!! Wore this while at outdoor education experience with my son. I had all my needs with me throughout the day. Even my flashlight fit nicely in small pocket on right side. I enjoyed not having tired back/shoulders from backpack. Never had to find a place to set down my bag so also didn't leave anything behind. Layers well. Was comfortable.
-
lovin' it!
By phyllis w., winchester, MA in March, 2011 -
I expect to have many hands free hours with the grandkids thanks to this light weight vest, in addition to the travel advantages. It's well made and although I haven't washed it yet, I expect that the fine weave nylon will stand the test of time.

Travel vest
By Emilia S., Sunnyside,, NY in February, 2011 -
Very creative design. I love it!!! No need to use handbag if you have this vest plus a carry-on backpack. Cellphone, passport, IDs, credit cards, money, cheques, pack of gums, and many more have every pockets to hide. I already recommended to my fellow travellers I met this month.
-

It is very light weight and very confortable, so feel almost nothing as you wear it. You may have difficult time finding your cash since there are so many pockets.

Lightweight and many pockets for easy organization.

At last a great vest
By Joyce G., Las Cruces, NM in January, 2011 -
I have been searching for years for a replacement for a vest I have been using for 20 years. This is it. Lightweight, dries fast, looks good, many pockets. I have bought 2 so I will have a replacement. I use it for hiking, horseback riding, and traveling. I would however, make one change - add seam pockets to hold your hands.
-
Ron
By Ron W., Maple Ridge, BC in January, 2011 -
I have been searching for a "perfect" vest, but so far have not found it. The Magellan is my third vest in my search. I very much like the Magellan's light weight, the length and the material. I only don't like the pockets. I find them all too small for my hands. But overall it is better than the other two brands I have ordered. I will continue my search.

The Best, Short of Custom Made
By Judy E., San Diego, CA in January, 2011 -
The garment's shape and size/placement of pockets are optimal compromises among looking like a stuffed kangaroo, carrying lots of stuff, and a unisex design. Watch the video for placement of items. I got a tan vest like this years ago for a safari, and it is still going strong. Since then, it has regularly been the Solution, and not just for plane travel. Solo travel by car, hands-free day hikes, moving--the uses are limited only by your lifestyle. Just got a dressier black one for city wear.

Christmas Present
By Suzanne K., NY in January, 2011 -
Ordered this for my husband. He loves lots of pockets for all his "stuff" when we travel ...cameras, batteries, tickets etc. He was pleased. It appears to be good quality and as advertised.
-
Vest pocket size
By g m., NM in January, 2011 -
I used this vest for a trip to Peru. It looked great. My only complaint is that there are only 2 zipper pockets. It would have been better if the zipper pockets would have been larger. There is also not a pocket that a water bottle would fit in. But I think this vest looks cleaner and better than the ones with the huge pouchy pockets on the outside.
-
Travel Vest Rocks
By Elizabeth S., Chicago, IL in January, 2011 -
We were looking for a great Christmas present for our son-in-law who likes to travel. I have owned my travel vest for almost three years and thought this would be the perfect gift. He loved it. It's great when you are traveling with family. I love all the pockets and the light weight fabric.
-
A great vest
By Deb W., SC in December, 2010 -
I ordered both the Travel Vest and the Ultimate Travel Vest at the same time. This vest was my favorite because of fit. I am 5'2" and this vest in a XS was perfect. Pockets held a bunch and the vest was lightweight enough to wear comfortably in the southern Caribbean. The vest went through security just fine with all my belongings intact and enabled me to leave my purse/bag behind. A great value.
-
Great Travel Vest
By Rita N., Afton, VA in November, 2010 -
My husband and I rode across the US on our motorcycle twice this year. Wearing the travel vest allowed me quick access to my camera, E-Z pass, National Park passes, etc. without having to stop the motorcycle to locate the items. Off the bike, I didn't have to worry about where my wallet, hotel membership cards, cell phone, glasses and other items were.... they were nicely organized in the many pockets. A nice, lightweight vest that can go anywhere.
-
Love it
By Jane A., VA in October, 2010 -
This vest has enough pockets to keep camera, passport, money, sanitary items, etc. close by and hands free. It makes airport security so much easier. It is lightweight and comfortable in hot weather. I am VERY, VERY pleased with it.
-
Essential travel item
By CAROL F., DEL MAR, CA in September, 2010 -
You won't need a purse with this lightweight vest. Pockets are everywhere for everything. I love the double zipper. Just take the vest off when you got through airline security and you don't have to empty out all your pockets. I have one in black and one in khaki and they make great gifts for friends.
-
Great travel vest
By CAROL F., DEL MAR, CA in September, 2010 -
With this vest you can avoid carrying a purse. Lots of pockets and very lightweight. Well made. I have one in black which does not get dirty and one in khaki which you have to wash more often. I have bought these as gifts for friends and they love this vest.

Lakshmi V. CA
By Lakshmi V., Palm Springs, CA in September, 2010 -
I love my Travel Vest! The fit is perfect and it is very stylish. I keep my very important sunglasses, cell phone, boarding passes, lipstick in all of the perfect pockets plus I have ample room for more items not only in the outside pockets of the vest but inside also! I love the fact that some of the pockets have a velcro closure and some have zippers.

Great Addition to Wardrobe
By Ginny K., MI in August, 2010 -
I love this vest. The pockets are fantastic, both inside and outside. It washes up easily and weighs nothing. The snap closure in the front is great for keeping the vest closed without the use of the zipper.
-
Love it!!

Fit is perfect. Very soft fabric. Just enough pockets. Not at all bulky. Looks very fashionable with anything. Plan to wear it on trip to Peru in Sept.

Good, but needs minor changes
By Sofia S., CA in August, 2010 -
I took this vest on a long plane trip & a tropical cruise... It's lightweight and good for hot climates... but... Small Items fell out of some pockets that were not secure enough when I bent over... more velcro would fix that... It also could use another pocket on the lower back that would not interfere with the design (I had to retire another vest that had a big pocket across the lower back, and it really came in handy for oodles of things...).
-

It's an ok product
By Andrew Z., Brigantine, NJ in July, 2010 -
Fabric is great... very light. Pockets are real small and use velcro, which seems like it's going to wear out prematurely. There is no pocket on the back, so there is no way to counterbalance weight on the front. I'd probably look towards another vest... it's a shame though, since the fabric is perfect for travel.
-
Good Vest, but...
By George E., Grassy Creek, NC in July, 2010 -
100% Nylon, inside (netting) and out. - COOL! Re: POCKETS - OUTSIDE : 1) Right - Cellphone pocket is too small; 2) left - top pocket has No PEN accomodation (see Inside), and bottom pocket has 'secondary' (lower) pocket.. INSIDE: 1) Right - no Velcro closure on the sole (ample) pocket (and no upper pocket); 2) Left - upper pocket does accomodate a pen, but has no velcrow/zipper closure. Zipper front has both top and bottom access.
-
The reviews are true.
By Vilma H., UT in July, 2010 -
I read all the buyer's reviews before I ordered this. I didnt believe the review but I ordered 2 vests for my husband & daughter for travel. We all like it because the material is so light. What is this made of silk ? I like all the pockets. It can improve by making one large pocket to accomodate a water bottle & get a zipper better than this because it kinda hustle to separate the left & right sides. I will order new ones if you make this changes & more colors for kids so kids are easily found
-
Travel light!
By Betty G., Valley, AL in July, 2010 -
I bought the vest to take a trip with my daughter and grand daughter, I needed something to keep my hands free as I do a lot of photography and this was great, I had money, cards, keys and all kinds of things that I needed in my vest and my hands were free to take my pictures and all kinds of other things I needed to do, it is a little too large but I can take care of that problem with a sewing machine, it has given me so much hand freedom, I just had trouble remembering where I put things.

Love this for hiking/outdoors!
By J C., Clayton, CA in July, 2010 -
I bought this because the volunteers at a park wear this as a uniform. I carry i.d., money, maps, small notebook, pens, granola bars, cheese sticks, phone, chapstick, pepper spray, keys and more in the pockets easily. It is very lightweight, comfortable, roomy, yet looks good. V-neck is nice. Hangs nicely. I love it so much that I plan to order a black one for personal use on occasions when I will be out and don't want to carry a purse (movies, fishing, dinners, touring, bicycling, travel, etc.)

Just what he wanted!!!
By Gina H., Louisville, CO in July, 2010 -
I bought this for my Dad for Father's Day. He took it out of the gift box and immediately tried it on... perfect fit! And according to my Mom, he hasn't taken it off yet :) I know that he was reaching for a pocket that had a side-opening, but the ones in front are top open only. Other than that, he loves it and it was the perfect gift. Good price, too. Thanks Magellans!

Too baggy
By Dorothy T., Marblehead, MA in June, 2010 -
Nice vest, but very baggy cut and fit. Needs more stability to carry any weight in the pockets.
-
Comfortable useful vest with lots of small pockets
By Rozelle W., Los Alamos, NM in June, 2010 -
I just finished two back to back plane trips and found the vest really useful for keeping things with me that I wanted on the plane without having to dive under the seat or get something out of overhead storage. I had a small paper back book, glasses, water bottle, cell phone, small sketchbook and wallet with id and boarding passes all easily accessible. The water bottle was a little too tall, but everything else fit well.

Ideal Traveling Companion
By Ephraim C., fort myers, FL in June, 2010 -
I bought two of these vests for my parents, for their trip to the Holy Land. The short of the story: they loved the vests. A place for everything, and everything in its place. Clearing airport security was far easier due to the fact that removing the vests removed anything that could ding the metal detector. During the tour of the holy sites in and around Israel, my typically over-packed mom was even able to leave her purse in the hotel room, wih whatever she needed in the vest. The light fabric seemed to be made for the desert heat. My dad is now even wearing the thing to work. Highly endorsed product!

Improvements I would make
By Sanja H., Solon, IA in June, 2010 -
I bought two of these vests , a black and a tan. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear but I really do not like velcro so I would prefer zippers or buttons. I just might put those in myself. Also it would be nice to have a dedicated pocket for eyeglasses and a pen. I would also like to see pockets on the back of the vest at the bottom so your larger items are not weighing the vest down while stored in the front pockets.
-
Magellan's Travel Vest
By Sally N., WI in June, 2010 -
This travel vest is light weight and perfect for summer. I wore it on a trip to California and it held my camera, cell phone, sun glasses, and all that was in my pockets (to go through security). My only wish is for a pocket to hold a bottle of water.
-
like - handy -need pockets
By david b., Schaumburg, IL., IL in June, 2010 -
am in wheelchair - tired of carrying "man" bag to carry essentials - wear a vest all time for pockets - this perfect for good weather - fair to hot - some pockets too small to conveniently get to and wrinkles quickly and can look sloppy - but light weight is great and can carry almost anything I use daily - double zipper GREAT - overall little pricey, but would recommend to anyone. Going to order another.

zip through security
By elaine e., salt lake city, UT in May, 2010 -
I love my new Magellan Travel Vest as I can load all the pockets with my travel necessities, then place it in a bin for xray without having to empty pockets. Makes going through airport security much more enjoyable. And the vest is lightweight and looks great.
-
Great - even if you're not traveling!
By Jane K., Hamburg, NY in May, 2010 -
My sister bought a vest at Disney World, to use in lieu of a purse. After seeing how this made her life simpler, I started looking for one - and found this. Although I wish it had one more zipper pocket outside, and the cellphone pouch was a smidge bigger, I love that it's lightweight, and high-hip length. Great vest!
-
Buy this--you'll never feel more secure.
By Peggy V., Coral Gables, FL in May, 2010 -
I just recently returned from a two-week trip in Italy. I bought myself a black vest and my husband the beige. Never have I been so hands free. There is a pocket for everything--money, passport, receipts, small camera, lipstick, comb, you name it. I will never travel again without this vest. A pair of slacks, a blouse or knit shirt and a coordinating scarf, and you're in business for any event. I love it.

Vest is Perfecto!
By Elizabeth W., The Villages, FL in March, 2010 -
The best traveling vest I have ever owned. And, over the years, I have collected six (6) vests trying to find the very best fit---and this one is absolutely tailored to suit me. Now, is it possible to make this vest in sissy-girl colors since I would like to wear one when I am not in the Sahara?

Black & Taupe Vests
By Christine C., Marana, AZ in March, 2010 -
My husband ordered the black vest and I ordered the taupe vest. Lots of pockets, lightweight, launders nicely in cold water. We are very happy with our vests and now when we go through security at the airport, everything: eye glasses, cell phone, other incidentals are all tucked into our vest pockets. No need to carry a purse on the flight.
-
Black Travel Vest
By connie r., walla walla, WA in March, 2010 -
I love this vest! Unfortunately I lost my first one (or did envious friends abscond with it??!!), so am now on my second and would never travel without it. I love the light weight, so that it can be a layer piece in cooler weather or stand on its' own with a T-shirt in warmer climates. It is a definite for the days when I fly, makes security a breeze and so easy on the plane to grab my reading glasses or travel documents. Thanks for a great products!

Travel Vest Review
By bruce l., new bedford, MA in March, 2010 -
I guardedly ordered the vest. My inclination is to doubt product descriptions. I was wrong. The vest was perfect. For the first time ever in all my travels, I felt that our passports were safe, close by and instantly accessible. The vest was comfortable during air travel (and warm too), yet it was equally comfortable when we landed in the Caribe! It is a good item and a fine purchase.

Magellan's Travel Vest

Ordered one, recieved it and ordered another one in black for my husband. Very lightweight and full of wonderful secret pockets in the inside.

Small pockets
By Fragino A., Hanford, CA in February, 2010 -
I like the light weight, I like it that it that it's streamlined. What I don't like is that the entry to the pockets are so small. I'm a small guy with medium hands. I feel like I'm going to eventually tear the corners of the pockets on the ones I can fit my hand in and there are couple that I can only grab stuff using my fingers. I'd return it but there's nothing better right now and it's too inconvenient to do so.

Great light weight travel vest...
By Mike C., Plantation, FL in January, 2010 -
I now have three of these vests, one of which stays in Costa Rica for travels there... They are good quality and very light weight so they aren't cumbersome to wear and pack easily/small... Excellent for everyday use and I generally wear one on travel day's so that I have a place to store all of those items that you need going to and from a location... There are just enough zipper, interior and exterior pockets... Works for me...:)

Replaced travel purse
By Virginia M., CA in January, 2010 -
I wore this good looking and comfortable vest every day on a recent trip to London and Paris. The black color coordinated with any top I had. It held an amazing amount from passport to tickets, camera to batteries, phone, money, tissures, metro or tube map, keys, etc. It also fit easily under my coat without looking bulky. I had purchased a lovely leather travel purse, but did not need it. I certainly recommend the vest for stress free travel.

travel vest travels well
By Mary R., IA in January, 2010 -
I bought this vest for my grandson. It is like the one I got for myself three years ago and have used many times in foreign travels. I especially enjoy being able to carry everything in pockets and dispense with a purse or other carrier that puts weight on arms or shoulders. The inside zipped pocket is the permanent home of my passport. The ability to zip from top or bottom is also very useful

Every travel day
By barbara K., Bozeman, MT in December, 2009 -
I wore my vest daily for three weeks in Northern Africa and so my husband wanted one for our next foreign travel. It worked well everywhere, is so light and washes up easily.

just not right
By W E., VA in December, 2009 -
i really wanted to like this product, but have returned it -- i did like the lightweight fabric -- i really liked the comfort of the v-neck cut -- BUT the pockets simply are too darn small! -- a travel vest has to carry stuff, and this wasn't going to do the job

Best Vest
By Maryel C., Lake Placid, FL in November, 2009 -
No matter where I travel, this vest goes with me. Pockets are wonderful--I don't worry about a fanny pack. After 25 years my original vest was looking a little tatty. Time to upgrade. Some improvements that are most welcome but no major chages. Still will be the faithful travel companion!

Good But Could Be Better
By Dorothy N., Honolulu, HI in October, 2009 -
The ;pockets are wonderful. Adequate number and roomy without being bulky. The only complaint is the material wrinkles very easily and ironng does not take them all out.

Great vests
By Sandy B., Manhattan Beach, CA in October, 2009 -
We have both colors and recently wore them throughout Turkey, Greece, Egypt and Jordan. They are lightweight so even in the heat, I found them to be comfortable and protective of my passport, wallet, etc. Unlike my safari vest, these look much dressier too. I am really happy that I have them. My husband feels the same way about his too.

Comfortable and very functional.
By Jeff W., Greenwood, IN in October, 2009 -
Earlier this year, prior to a trip to Ireland in September, I purchased two of these travel vests. Of course, in Ireland, their weather makes it imperative that you choose layered-clothing. These vests were my favorite apparel as they can be worn over almost anything, and the inside pockets makes it so easy to secure valuables and have plenty of additional pockets for many other uses. Great for traveling, and I highly recommend either color.

Travel Vests
By Sandy B., Manhattan Beach, CA in October, 2009 -
My husband and I each bought one in each color and wore them in England, France, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, and Jordan. They are very comfortable and insulating even when it was warm. Our guide warned us about pickpockets, but the vest is very protective. They also look very nice---not like our safari vests--these are dressier. We think these vests are really good.

Fantastic vest - great comfort, great security
By Jim B., Marina Del Rey, CA in October, 2009 -
Love this vest. I have two. I am a 42 chest and one is size medium which fits tight and close and I wear it in the winter travels. It is excellent for that little extra warmth. The security features of the zipper pickets are fantastic. It allows me to put my money up high and inside for total security. In black it does not standout under dark jackets. I have a size large for warmer weather. Would not be without it!

"National Parks" vest
By Mickey M., NC in October, 2009 -
This vest is the best! A friend and I bought these for the National Park patches that we've collected. We've had many compliments on the vests with thirty seven National Park patches sown on (so far)! We hope to add the other twenty one patches (or as many as the vests will hold). Many folks ask us where we got the vests, and we quickly tell them about Magellans. Yes, we love the pockets which hold the NPs Passport books, cameras, maps, ID and anything else we want. Thank you, Magellans!!!

Light weight vest
By Dorothy M N., Honolulu, HI, HI in October, 2009 -
I'm very pleased with the vest. I have a fleece vest but wanted a light weight one that has inside pockets. The light weight is especially good in Hawaii and during summer months in Vegas. There are not very many days when a fleece vest can be worn in Honolulu The inside pockets make it unnecessary to carry a large purse.

Thin, lightweight

So Many Pockets, So Little Time
By Debra J., Seattle, WA in July, 2009 -
I'd give this vest five stars it they made it in a petite size. I'm 5'2" and 120# so it looked like a sack on me. To counter this I gathered the back at the waistline and stitched it down to give it more shape. I wore it all over Istanbul in the sweltering heat and it was so much better than carrying a bag or pack. I really liked it, but returned the light colored one because the color just didn't seem right. The black one looks great though. Lots of pockets and I had trouble remembering just wh

Travel Vest a Winner!
By Barbara M., Houston, TX in June, 2009 -
We ordered these vests in both colors for our 3-week trip to Italy, which included seven nights aboard a 5-masted schooner. The vests exceeded expectations for storage and comfort and washed and dried lickety-split!

Great vest
By E J., IL in May, 2009 -
I bought this vest for air travel. There are sufficient pockets to hold travel documents, credit cards, money, and all the essentials needed on the airplane so I do not have to keep going into my bag during the flights. Some of the pockets seem flimsy but they are really very sturdy. It really fit my needs

Great Travel Vest
By LYNN K., KAHULUI, HI in May, 2009 -
This is a very lightweight and comfortable vest. Multiple pockets made it easy for me to drape my cameras/binoculars around my neck instead of dealing with a handbag and cameras/binoculars. Only drawback was mesh lining which made it a little difficult to put large things in pockets (passport/ticket pouches, etc.). I wore it every day on my 12-day trip to Japan. Pocketbook and travel pouch were secure in inside pockets. Worry free travel! Love it, love it, love it!

Love this vest!
By Patti W., Delray Beach, FL in May, 2009 -
I was looking for a travel vest with pockets but not many, many, many pockets. This vest did the trick. Fits great, looks great, lightweight, and just enough pockets for all my stuff.

Great product, great price!
By jeff w., Greenwood, IN in April, 2009 -
In preparation for a trip to Ireland this fall, I decided to purchase a travel vest because of all the pockets that hold a variety of things. Originally, I ordered a size XL, but found it to be just a "wee bit" snug...not a lot, but figuring that in Ireland, I would be wearing layers of clothes, depending upon the day's climate, I decided I wanted a little more freedom of movement. Even if it was a little snug, I very much liked the looks/functionality of the garment and knew I still wanted the vest...I returned it to Magellan, and ordered a 2XL, as well as a second vest. I am looking forward to carrying my valuables, camera, etc around the Emerald Isle, using several of the convenient pockets, several of which are on the inside, providing more security. I think that both vests, which seem to be made to very high standards will provide me a lot of service as I travel. Since I haven't actually used either one yet, I limited my rating to just four stars, but truthfully, I feel that after I've used them, they will become five-star parts of my wardrobe. Thanks.

All Year Round Travel Vest
By Carol P., VA in April, 2009 -
This is the best choice of travel vests for all sorts of weather. I can wear it in the summer without feeling smothered by heavier fabrics of winter weight vests. It is thin enough that I can wear it under a rain jacket or coat. I think of it more as a traveling, wearable wallet, rather than an article of clothing.

a lightweight

Fabric was too flimsy but had lots of pockets

Good lightweight travel vest
By Anonymous, Pearland, TX in January, 2009 -
lightweight, lots of good pockets, fits well though wish it were a bit longer (XL bought), not meant to keep you warm at all so good for summer travel mainly. good price and nice color. pleased with product overall.

Filing cabinet you wear
By Michael P., Issaquah, WA in January, 2009 -
This vest is terrific. Except for what you are not permitted, it holds everything I want for my plane trip (except a bigger seat)! My hardy recommendation.

To each his/her own...
By Sara H., State College, PA in December, 2008 -
I ordered this and returned it. It was too lightweight to carry much stuff without feeling very floppy -- I'm sure it would be good for tropical climes or to go under another jacket, but on its own, it didn't work for me. In Paris, it would have looked really touristy...

Vest, and how I like it.
By Nancy H., Auburn, CA in December, 2008 -
I haven't worn it yet but it is perfect for traveling because it is so light and has so many pockets. I think I'll get lots if use out of it. It's better than that heavy "wired" vest I ordered originally. Thanks Nancy Holtz

exactly what I was looking for
By G B., Pikesville, MD in December, 2008 -
Extremely well made, almost weightless, very comfortable, clean simple lines, this should be cool even in summer. I bought this for use as a photographer's vest for carrying a few light but bulky accessories and this does the job perfectly. I especially like the fact that it is available in black, since I wear black clothes when shooting professionally, and it really keeps me unobtrusive.

Very useful vest, light and comfortable
By Don G., San Antonio, TX in December, 2008 -
I find this very useful for when I have a shirt without pockets and on the "not so cold" days. It is lightweight and very nice looking. Only have one criticism, they could lose the front tab snap or arrange to hide it when you do not wish to close it because it sort of flops around if you dont snap it. Otherwise, I like the vest very much and have worn it often.
