Not very loud - Review by

I thought this clock claimed that it had a 75 db alarm level but with my hearing difficulty, I can not hear this alarm. Sort of disappointed!

Not very happy! - Review by

I received the clock yesterday, and found it very user unfriendly! The print on the back is very tiny, the light is very dim and the buttons are very small. I could envision myself trying to turn off the alarm in the dark, and I don't think it would be very easy to find the correct tiny button as there are several the same size. I was very disappointed, and it will be returned.

Beautiful, But Flawed - Review by

I bought one of the gorgeous red models for my adult daughter and my husband for a trip abroad last summer. I have to agree with the person who stated that the print on the back is very difficult to read, which made it difficult to set. My daughter didn't like the weight of it and preferred to use her cell phone alarm function. It's attractive for use as a small clock in a guest room at home, but we don't take it with us when we travel.

My new RED travel alarm is a beautiful clock with many desirable features. With daily use on my nightstand, I wore out my Radio Shack 'atomic' travel alarm and decided to upgrade to global synchronization. My eyesight has diminished normally with age and the back-light on Magellan's Global Sync Travel Alarm Clock is too dim for me to read the clock during the night. At home I have other options but I will really be unhappy that I cannot check the time at night during our scheduled rail trip across Canada and back across the U. S. in the fall.

Travel Alarm - Review by

This was sent as a gift to a person in a different time zone. She received it in good order but decided to wait until the next day to set it. When she checked , as advertised, it had set the time day and date automatically. She was extremely pleased as was I, the gift giver. In this day and age it is a nice surprised when something works the way it should !! Thanks

Easy to set clock - Review by

Most atomic clocks and watches are hard to set. This one was pretty easy.

Global Atomic Clock - Review by

I really like the clock. Only one big problem. The lettering on the back to identify the various button functions is REALLY small and makes it difficult to read. People with less then good sight might find this a problem.

Great clock, albeit not perfect - Review by

I have used this clock for a number of trips, and the same clock when it was made by Sharper Image for many years. It works very well, provided you understand that you have to tell it which part of the world you're in (US, UK, Western Europe or Japan). Some buildings block the sync signal, so you have to put it in the window to sync when in such a building.

Don't buy to wake you up - Review by

This is a cute little clock, and it does keep good time. But no one without supersensitive hearing can hear the alarm. It's way too soft.

Quirky, but attractive - Review by

It took me a while to figure out how to work this clock, and it doesn't adjust the time to the atomic signal as quickly as I expected. I'm not sure I'd want to mess with it for traveling, but it sure looks nice sitting on a nightstand and once set works well.

It never synchronized - Review by

We use atomic clocks in our house and love them, but this one would never sync, even on travel. The buttons and labels on the back are too small; very hard to read. I'll be returning this.

My atomic clock - Review by

I am very pleased with my clock. It works very well, it has good instructions and illustrations, and is pretty. Response to my order was immediate. I received it very fast. It is nice to know that the time is exaxtly right. I plan to take it with me on my many travels.

Time Zones - Review by

I am going to Africa and was not savvy enough to know that this clock doesn't not pick up most time zones south of the equator. Just reset it like you would a normal alarm clock. I was disappointed, but it does look cool!

It does the job, but .... - Review by

An alarm clock either works - or doesn't. Accuracy is important, but not to the second. The hour(s) however are important. This clock needs to be "told" what clock server to connect to, via a slide switch; yet a Seiko clock, previously sold by Magellan (Model # QHR017S) picks up whichever clock server is closest (I have twice landed at Frankfurt, and on unpacking that Seiko clock, noted that it was set to the correct local time!) Good, but not the best!
