Max is the Greatest
By Anonymous, Louisville, TN in June, 2011
I was in the process of ordering the wrong item and talked with Max your representative. He was the greatest. Told me what to look for on my devices and recommended the correct adapter. Worked great in Israel and economical too. You may publish if you only use my initials. JD
Great Price, Buy More than One
By Louisa M., Munster, IN in May, 2011
Worked perfectly in Spain. Should have purchased one for each device and left it attached to each because I left the adapter in the wall at an albergue. Paid nearly 3 times as much at an electronics store in Spain to replace the adapter.
Loosey goosey or righty tighty
By T A., MI in May, 2011
I purchased three of these and used them in France and Spain. They adapted the plug configuration just fine, but sometimes the connection was a little loose and my appliance plugs would slip right out of them. As was the case with my iPhone and iPad plugs from Apple. In other cases with polarized plugs (where one prong is larger than the other), it was difficult to get the plug in all the way. I called Magellan's customer service and the guy told me to just push harder, so I did and finally got it in, but it bent the larger prong slightly inward. However it still worked. The adapters are small and plug into each other, so it saves space in your luggage.
Stock Up to Recharge
By Marnette S., OH in November, 2010
I used these adaptors in November in Italy. I was able to simultaneously charge my iPhone, Olympus camera battery and brew a cup of tea with these priced-right beauties. The American Tourister converter I bought wasn't even necessary for my needs.
European Style Adaptor Plug
By Maria C., CA in October, 2010
I had a high end flat iron that I wanted to take to Italy, but I knew I needed some sort of adaptor. I was initially going to pick one up at a local electoronics store but after reading your web page on your adaptors and how you need the right one for heating type appliances, I knew this was the one I should buy. I did not want to ruin my flat iron. It work great! I bought one for my daughter.
Simple--what else can one ask for?
By Kathryn L., Los Angeles, CA in August, 2010
Used this for my curling iron while traveling in France. The adaptor fit easily but snugly into the iron's plug, and was very easy to fit into the wall socket as well. Made life simple.
Good Product
By R.K. M., Lubbock, TX in July, 2010
My wife and daughter took two with them on a 9-day trip down the Danube from Budapest (river ship) and through Germany. Simple product -- worked without any hitches.
Good design, low profile
By A R., CT in July, 2010
This unit worked well with my electronics and had a nice low profile so that it could be easily stored. Not ideal with Apple plugs, which slide right out and cannot be bent to create more friction, but this is not a design flaw of this product. However, you may need to figure out a way to keep Apple plugs from slipping out. Overall, I was pleased. I recommend getting more than one so you can charge up multiple items at the same time.
Worked great
By Lisa M., Bella Vista, AR in May, 2010
I used this along with the surge protector in South Korea as well as Israel. Worked great with my cpap machine that I use for my sleep apnea and charging my cell phone. I cannot speak to using with curlers or straighteners, but have to think it would have worked great. Online help is very helpful when you don't know from reading catalogue which item you need.
Indispensible in continental Europe.
By F. Mark C., Benedict, MN in May, 2010
These adapters are simple and cheap. They are essential for continental Europe. The UK uses the much better and safer MK plugs, and Magellan's have those adapters also. Remember European voltage is 240 Volts, so you can only use appliances that have a voltage switch or will handle a voltage range of 120 to 240 Volts. If you connect a device that is only rated for 120 Volts and you use one of these you will have instant destruction of your device with smoke and flame.
polarized -- very important
By Elizabeth T., Spring Creek, NV in May, 2010
Cheap adapter sets may not be polarized, and if you're just going to Europe, you don't need all those other adapters anyway. Get 3 or 4 of these instead to connect to all your cords when you travel.
This was all I needed!
By Mark K., Modesto, CA in March, 2010
I bought a few of these adaptors for my electronic devices I brought on my trip. In fact, all I needed were adaptors. My US electronic devices were able to take up to 240 volts, so no converter was necessary. Read the small print on your plugs. It may save you from buying a converter.
A Must Have Item
By Lee K., CA in December, 2009
Going to Europe this is a necessity. Also, the price is right. I use it for my cell phone charger, blow dryer, and electric razor. Thanks.
Convenient plugs
By Naett P S., Saint Ignatius, MT in October, 2009
Attaching one of these to aeacah dual voltage appliance, such as curlers, dryers and coffee pots make them all useable at the same time, no switching around and waiting. I can make coffee and do my hair at the same time.
Great product, great price!
By Lisa B., Ballston Spa, NY in July, 2009
These adaptors worked great in both Rome and Paris! I brought several of these with me on my trip abroad and they worked fabulously. I was pleased to find such a great product at a very reasonable price through a reputable company. I would strongly encourage anyone traveling abroad to bring plug adapters with you. **Please note that this is only an adapter, you may also need a voltage converter for some items.
Indespensible for Electronics 115v/60Hz to 220v.50Hz
By Gary B., Cincinnati, OH in July, 2009
Not a transformer, this handy item is useful for all of your devices that can use alternative current types. I use them for my electric shaver charger, powering my minidisc machine, C-Pap machine (for sleep apnea), battery charger for digital camera, and AA size battery charger for NiMH and other rechargable batteries. It's polorized, and simply allows a transition from US "blade" plugs to European double rod plugs. Read instructions for your electronic devices to make sure they are compatable.
Fine adapters
By Benson W., NC in June, 2009
I can't think of any way these could be improved.
Adaptor Plubs
By Patricia H., Washington, DC in May, 2009
We appreciate being able to buy these European style adaptor plugs individually from you instead of the usual multi-plug package. The products arrived timely. We always buy from you for all of our travel supplies (we live part-time in Europe). Thank you for such good service and great products.
Saved my hair style
By Rebecca K., Kewaunee, WI in May, 2009
This little gem saved my hairstyle. On a previous trip to Europe my curling iron would not work with the converter I brought. Discovered that my curling iron is dual voltage, check the fine print on yours. Plugged my curling iron into this adapter and it worked GREAT! Check before you go to make sure your heating appliance's prong will plug into the adapter. Not all adapters will accommodate the wider prong of heating appliances
hey, it works as a convetor plug when traveling overseas.
By robert p., North Olmsted, OH in February, 2009
What's not to like. It's as small as such a plug can be and you can just get the one needed for Europe. I always pack two on a trip across the pond in case I lose one or forget to take it out of the outlet when leaving a hotel room.
well made good product
By andrew r., palm harbor, FL in January, 2009
As advertised, good price for plug adapter, also the web site is good to find the adapter for your country. Would like to see them also all together for sale.
Adapter converter
By Anonymous, Coon Rapids, MN in December, 2008
Works great in European cities and Israel. I have complete set in the bag. Unfortunately, in a hurry, when I unplugged my curling iron, this stayed in the socket. This is a replacement for my set.
Adaptor is not a converter
By Anonymous in November, 2008
The adaptor plug works just fine to change to "prongs" on your american appliance to fit a european receptacle. However, you must remember that this does NOT change the power requirements. If your appliance is 110 you still need a CONVERTER to change the power. We discovered that most cell phone chargers and most battery chargers are DUAL powered and all you need is this adaptor. But toothbrushes, computers, etc. likely are not.
