Magellan's Adventure & Travel Easy-Stride Skirt

I purchased two skirts on clearance, and although they fit reasonably well, they are about 2 or 3 inches too long. The skirt is well made, and the security pocket is a plus. The fabric, however is bad, as it wrinkles terribly. I can wear the black skirt, since the wrinkles are less visible, but the lighter sand color is virtually unwearable. I'll save that one for gardening. I would love to see this skirt made with a better choice of fabric.

Good basic skirt - on the sporty side. I bought the black, so the pocket tab doesn't show so much, and was able to wear it to a 'non-sporty' event, which when traveling versatility is needed. (If tab was same color as fabric on the other skirts, I would have bought other colors as well). Like the pockets. Fabric is lightweight and comfortable, can easily handwash & dries fast. Used this summer, will also be good for in-between seasons. Wrinkles easily, but wrinkles come out by hanging & water spray bottle. Fabric can pill, but not much and was able to remedy easily.

I couldn't get over how light this skirt is. It also feels and fits great. The length is perfect and it doesn't wrinkle.

I bought 2 of these skirts for a trip to Houston for 4 days. I took just these skirts with the plan to wash them out in the hotel sink and hang them to dry. Not only did they dry quickly, they were sooo comfortable to wear. In this current heat wave, this skirt is even more comfortable than shorts.

My Mom bought this skirt for me for Christmas before my move to Africa. I've worn it about once a week since then, and am incredibly disappointed. The fabric has already started to pill and look worn. I have had field clothes with similar fabric for nearly 15 years that were used in much harsher conditions (literally, in the field as opposed to the desk job I currently hold) that have held up better than this skirt has over less than one year. Our washing machine is a brand-new front loader and everything is dried on a line, nicer treatment than my normal non-"travel" clothes normally get. I feel sad that my Mom, who can barely afford the extra expense, thought she was getting me something special, and it turns out to be far less than ordinary.

This skirt weighs almost nothing. It washes easily. I wore it on my trip to London this past week with black top and tights. It was perfect for this trip. I would have added another star if it had been just an a-line and not a cargo style. Nevertheless, it is a great skirt for a trip.

true to size, light weight and easy to packet

I ordered this skirt in black, and I'm quite disappointed in what I received: The cut isn't flattering for my more boyish figure (waist is really tight and the hips are huge!), but the worst part is that the fabric is quite light and quite sheer: I can see light through the skirt, and the last thing one wants to wear while travelling is a slip!

I bought this skirt for a trip to Europe and it worked great. At 5'2", I needed to shorten it to get it to knee length and in doing so, completely lost the pleat in the back.

This skirt fits just as described. It is comfortable and airy. I will wear it even when I am not traveling. I am most pleased with this purchase and will definately use Magellan's again when looking for travel items.

I love this skirt - have 4 of them in 3 colors. smaller size 6 fits me(sometimes I were an 8). Fits well and right length for anywhere- not too short. Nice secure & convenient pockets. Very easy care, confortable for any climate-- great for tropics. I wear them travelling and to work- (I'm a middle school science teacher) and enjoy this skirt- so comfortable and I get compliments even from my students!

This is not the snazziest skirt but very functional and goes well w/ the jacket. I ordered the khaki and it looks good w/ a bright color on top. The 10 fit me perfectly (I am a size 10 in other clothing & 5'4" tall). The length hits right below my knee and that's where I want it when traveling. It's lightweight for easy packing and nice in hot weather. This is a go everywhere skirt!!

Perfect length and as light as a feather. Perfect for travel. It can easily be packed in a plastic ziplock bag.

These skirts are not the most fashionable but I like that they are light and have pockets. I especially like the hidden pockets. The light fabric will allow the skirts to dry fast. I will wear these skirts for my next travel.

Comfortable, cool, classy! I'm buying two more colors.

I was looking forward to getting lots of wear from this skirt based on other reviews, but wound up returning it. The gores do not go all the way up to the waist, but originate from about the mid-hip area and the pockets are positioned very low. Even after pressing, the result was that the gore and pocket area stuck out weirdly, making me look very broad in the hip. Just to clarify, I am 114 lbs!, and I thought I looked at least 30 lbs heavier! Also, this is not black, but a charcoal gray.

Works with boots as well as pumps, flats and sandals. Just right for sightseeing and touring churches abroad. . Have the black and sand colors and matching jacket/vests. A real travel wardrobe asset.. Let's see some other color choices. Navy would be terrific.

love, love, love, this skirt. its light weight,dries easily, and doesn't wrinkle in the suitcase.I would recommend this skirt to everyone..it is sized well ans it is a perfect length. if you are looking for a travel skirt this is it.

Agood addition to a travel wardrobe. Have the Jacket/Vest and pants, so this makes for another option. Skirt is comfortable. Not gorgeous, but certainly adequate for adding versatility. Very lightweight and packs well.

I go to Nicaragua for a month and travel with a pack that weighs 14lbs .This skirt is perfect ... Light and so comfortable . I love the security pocket in the front. Carry cash and credit cards and never worry. I have two colors and will buy another one soon. It's my favorite skirt ***********

I just returned from a 3500 mi. car trip, and wore this skirt several times during the days in the car. It fits well, any wrinkles are not too obvious in the black color, and are easily smoothed out. It was much cooler than wearing shorts or slacks, and appropriate wherever we stopped for meals. It washes and dries without too much puckering, which was my worry, so all in all I'm very happy with my skirt!

I love this skirt and have nver seen anything like it on-line or in stores. It's neat, tailored, comfortable without too much or too little fabric, and a perfect length just below knee. Can be easily dressed up or dressed down. It's extremely light and packable, and is true to size. Pockets are handy but do not add bulk. I bought one in both colors, and would buy one in every color of the rainbow if it were possible.
