Wear it as a jacket in cool weather, and when the day warms up, just zip off the sleeves and it becomes a smart vest. Either way, you have seven exterior pockets (five zippered for added security), plus three more inside, including a spacious zippered pocket with credit card slots. And for a flattering fit and extra comfort, we added a drawcord at the waist and breathable mesh lining. Pair it with the shirt, skirt, pants or your favorite jeans.

Too Short, Waist Too High

Lovely jacket with well-designed pockets. Unfortunately, the jacket is too short for my liking, and like the other reviewers, the waist is way too high. It would be great if Magellan's would include the length of their jackets in the description.

To Europe and Back

Earlier in the summer, I was on a tour, and one of my fellow travelers was talking about a jacket that had removable sleeves. I asked her which online retailer offered this product, and she replied that it was Magellan's. When I returned from my vacation, I immediately connected with the recommended site, and there it was - a jacket with removable sleeves and it was on sale! Knowing that I would soon be traveling to Europe for two weeks, I ordered the jacket; it arrived in a timely manner and was worn on the overnight flight, providing pockets for my glasses, earplugs, and pen for crossword puzzles. I was both warm and comfortable on the trip. As we arrived in Italy and searched for the train to Milan, the temperature began to rise. Easily, off came the sleeves, which fit nicely into two ample pockets on the vest's front. Even though it was too hot to wear the vest on our journey through northern Italy, it became a jacket again as we boarded the plane for Germany. The air in Frankfurt was chilly, as were the two flights that we took to return to America. I am so pleased that Magellan's buyers have had the foresight to choose such a versatile garment for their catalog, and I look forward to wearing it many times on my travels both at home and abroad.

The material is what stands out. I've had multi-pocketed jackets be4, but not this light, not this soft, not this elegant, not so well planned. I won't travel without it anymore.

Love this jacket. . . sure makes it so you don't have to carry a purse! I wore it every day on my recent two-week vacation! It is easy to remove the arms when it gets a bit too warm and is easy to put them back in when it becomes cooler. I highly recommend this jacket.
