Luxe Self-Inflating Seat Cushion

This cushion was a lifesaver. for me on my trip to Africa from Savannah, GA, We flew Savannah to Atlanta to Amsterdam to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (20 hours) Then, home from the Maasai Mara to Nairobi, Kenya and onward, which was forty hours door to door. I used it twice daily on game drives in creek beds as well as dirt tracks during my two week safari to East Africa, as well. Since I was only 5 1/2 months out of very extensive back surgery ( two 12 inch rods and 14 screws), it was essential that my spine be protected. This self-inflating pillow did the trick! I like that you can release air after inflation in order to find your comfort level. If you follow directions, it is not difficult to release air and deflate. Try rolling it up as you deflate and that speeds up the process. Not only did this pillow serve me well in Africa, but I had used it for the prior five months in the car as well. I never had a problem with it loosing air. I still keep it in the car for long trips. I think that it is a fabulous product!.

I have difficulty sitting long periods of time (basically anything over an hour) without being able to get up to get the circulation going. I was taking a trip from Chicago to Rio and thought I would give this product a try. I thought it worked great; I was able to endure the flight with no discomfort to speak of roundtrip. The problem is after one trip it no longer keeps inflated. No matter how tight I get the valve it may last about an hour. As I said, great product for one trip, after that you might as well toss it.

I take a tush cush to restaurants(wooden seats,non-supportive curved chair backs) and other places, including air travel here and abroad Etc.Your cushion inflates, but to deflate is so difficult that it makes the anticipated convenience/concept unworkable. I had 4 people for dinner and we passed the cushion around with negative deflating ease.results. I am going to return the cushion Keepworking on the product and I'll pass the word around if you can solve the problem!

Super easy to use, takes 20 seconds to blow up. And super easy to change the pressure by slowly letting out air if needed. I like that you can easily turn the air valve to let a little air out if it's to firm to get just the right amount of inflate and padding. I got it several weeks ago and take it with me EVERY where that I sit down. Excellent inexpensive investment! Looking forward to traveling with it to provide some sitting relief during a long flight.

I bought the self-inflating seat cushion and used it on a long plane ride (in economy seating) to Tokyo and Seoul. On previous such long flights, I would find my bottom feeling stiff and sore after about 6 hours and I would have to get up and move around, or sit on my hands. On this trip, I found the cushion to be quite good in keeping me comfortable the entire 12+ hours (I did get up and walk around periodically but not because I was feeling stiff). Unlike some previous reviewers, I did not find the cushion to deflate after a few hours (in fact it specifically stayed inflated for 12 hours on my return trip). On an unexpected note, I found that the cushion lifts me up about 1.5 inches, and I found myself sitting taller than I normally do (I am 5' 7'' tall). This means that the Delta seat back hits me in unexpected places and, when they want you have the seat backs upright for takeoff and landing, I found this to be rather uncomfortable. Once I could lean the seat back, I was fine.

As a chair-bound paraplegic, it really fits the bill (as well as the tush).

I do love these cushions and have bought about 8 over the last 9 years. The reason I have had to buy so many is the valve seems to become faulty after a time and let the air out while sitting on it rendering it useless? That said, I shall be buying another as they are so handy for travel/eating out etc and really help the pain in my back. My current one has just become faulty. Had hoped the problem had been sorted. Please try and fix this problem as I live in England and have to pay import duty making them expensive.c

I recently purchased this seat cushion as a replacement for an old one that had begun to leak air out the seam. It has the cut-out shape at the back to suspend your tailbone and relieve the pressure points. I am very satisfied with this cushion, especially after just using it for a week on vacation. It relieved the pressure on my tailbone and kept me comfortable after many hours of travel. I would recommend it as a very good purchase.

I have a lumbar cushion that uses this same inflation system, and it works well. This cushion was a good idea that still needs work. First, after use it will not fit back into the included bag; I put a couple of Velcro straps around it. Second, it slowly inflates when not in use. Third, the black color can transfer to other surfaces. I used it on a light-colored vinyl chair seat for 3-4 hours; when I removed the cushion, its outline was left on the chair seat in black, and I could not remove the stain, although it's fading with time. I have found that after inflation, I have to let a little air out of the cushion or it will roll around a bit, but that's no problem. Nevertheless, it's a good product and I will continue to use it, but it needs more development work.

The nylon bag that holds this cushion is made too small....cannot get the cushion into it after taking it out. Also, cannot deflate all the way as the same button to deflate is the button to inflate...one screws it open for both, but I shall try it on my trip overseas and see how it works, nevertheless. I found that to inflate, you unscrew the button at the size. To deflate, you do the same thing, so it is very difficult to get all the air out even when sitting on it. I will try using this on my upcoming trip overseas

A better product than your other cushion which sprung leaks. I had one like this before and it works fine and is very easy when you travel, car or plane. It helps my back.

The cushion works well and is comfortable, however the only reason I don't give it a 5 star is that when rolled up for storage, the cushion does not fit back into the provided bag.

This worked well and prevented the spinal pain I normally got sitting for more than a half hour in one place...but the air began to seep out of it after about 3 uses. It would still work but I needed to get up, turm knob and refill it with air. Hard to do in a small space on a plane. When not in use, it would fill with air, whether knob was turned or not. It became too bulky for air travel.

I love this cushion as it inflates by turning the knob. It makes being on an airplane for 5 hours more comfortable. I love it so much that I have purchased 4 for friends and family. I told other people about it and they enjoy it too.
