Leather RFID Passport Wallet

Ordered purple. Got brown. Not enough time to exchange before trip.

Wallet much too tight, too stiff. It is intended to hold passport, money, cards. Very difficult to use.

It is not the wallet's fault that my first day in Rome I lost it, along with the passport, money and cards it contained. That was the fault of the Magellan bag with the incredibly slippery lining that let everything float out whenever I reached for something.

The American Embassy in Rome is lovely to visit, and very gracious about replacing passports, but you do need $120 to do so.

This is just a perfect for my passport. I can carry some credit cards, drivers license and passport in one wallet.

The wallet is a very nice piece, but too large for my use.

While this wallet has many advantages, the passport doesn't fit into the slot. It's just a tiny bit too small rendering this wallet useless to me for my international travel.

Excellent value and utility. Even with the necessary credit/medical etc. cards, passport and paper money the wallet was flat and compact in my Magellan travel purse, also an excellent investment that I will purchase AGAIN when this one wears out if it ever does!

I was happy to find a good quality wallet that will protect my credit cards and passport. There are plenty of places for cards and cash.

This item is an excellent piece, but it needs some revisions. I echo the comments of several other reviews when I say that the color represented on the website did not match what I received (I did return it for another color and received it promptly). Again, I mirror other reviews when I say that my passport does not fit in the larger clear plastic window flap, which makes the wallet fairly useless for travel abroad, IF you want to keep your passport handy and close to your person. A slit/place for currency would also be nice to have instead of the bulky change zipper. A great design overall, but in need of some help to make it truly useful. Regards, CHH

Beautiful craftsmanship but newest passport doesn't fit. Called customer service and they had no answer or suggestion. Not very customer service oriented. Thought about ordering another just to see if mine was a mistake. However, after reading several reviews by other customers, my assessment is correct. Passports do not fit! Magellans please fix this! Thanks.

Look very carefully at the images accompanying this product. Opposite the passport is a 'flap' with a driver's license viewable in a clear plastic window. On the other side of this flap (which you cannot see) is another clear plastic window. In this window is a card suggesting that this is where you would insert your passport. However, a passport issued by the United States government is too large to fit in this window. Instead, the back page of the passport is inserted into a slot behind the coin purse. As received, the dummy drivers license was issued in Germany. The clear passport window may accomodate a German passport. (I did not find any information about where the wallet was made.) Magellan's has replaced the dummy driver's license and credit cards to illustrate how the passport wallet might be used. This is somewhat misleading, because you will not be able to use the clear window for your United States passport. You will need to kluge it by inserting the passport as shown in the photo. The overall quality is great. It's unfortunate that whoever designed the wallet did not make the passport window large enough for a U.S. passport.

The wallet meets basic requirements and I am so relieved to have an RFID blocker. However, here are my wishes: that it was a little 'looser' at the fold so that it could accommodate a little more thickness. There's medical info and credit cards and other ID that I go nowhere without and it's a little too tight for all of it. Also though it holds my passport, it won't hold it where designed and the passport has developed a little curl along the edge.

Nice wallet but the ID window pocket is too big for my driver's license and I wish there was a way to close the wallet so it was flat.

This wallet is made of a very nice leather with the added benefit of security for your credit cards and passport. My only disappointment was that there is no place to put paper currency without folding it.

I really like the size of this wallet, although when slipping in a US passport, it is a bit snug. Also, since it is RFID blocking only when closed, it would be helpful if it had a snap or loop closure. With the passport, a few bills, and cards, the wallet flops open, defeating the purpose. I put a rubber band around it. Finally, I order the purple and after the first use, the color is coming off at the edges of the fold. Perfect size, great idea, but those are my concerns.

I love my new wallet but just wanted to give people a heads up about the colors. I first ordered a purple one but it was so dark (nearly black) I sent it back for a rose pink. When the rose pink arrived i was surprised to see it was much more salmon or coral than pink. It's very orange-y. But I l kept it because I like the set-up of the wallet (pockets, slots) and I can see it in my purse.

This is something that is truly needed in these days of ID theft. With chips in our driver's licenses, credit cards, etc., that can be scanned even when these items are in our pockets, this RFID Passport Wallet is like a portable ID safe. Great idea!!!! Just not happy that it's made in China.

I ordered this at Christmas and did not try my passport until I was prepacking for my trip. To my surprise my passport did not fit in the wallet! I checked the dimensions against those listed on line and found it is undersized by 1/2 inch both length and width, the depth was accurate. When I called customer service the rep tried to tell me that I was not inserting my passport correctly. He did not apologize or suggest I return it! This is false advertising and poor customer service.

I purchased three of these, for my husband, son, and myself. I travel to central Europe each summer as a volunteer conversational English teacher to children, and thought this would be good to use as my primary wallet on trips. Love the look and feel of the wallet, but the passport doesn't fit like I thought it would.

I had ordered these wallets as gifts but returned them all due to the fact that they were HUGE and not wallet size at all! I love the idea of an RFID secure wallet but they need to be wallet size. I called and was told they are oversize due to them being for passports HOWEVER, I took out our passports and they were even oversize for that. They could have been made considerable smaller and still hold a passport AND still be useable as a wallet.

I ordered the red. Very nice. Just wasn't able to use it for the country where I'll be traveling.

Our passport wallets are perfect, hold all of our important papers and credit cards while offering the extra security for our identity that we wanted. Very slim size yet lots of storage space and very nice quality leather for good looks too! Thanks!

I love this wallet. It is easy to get my ID out when neccessary The credit card pockets fit great., change and bill pockets are easy to use.

Compact, well made and elegant with good use of space.

I bought these for family members just before a trip abroad. They enjoyed them and I felt good about helping protect them. They arrived in a timely fashion and we were all pleased with the quality

This is a good, functional wallet, and I believe it does a good job blocking RFID. However, don't make the mistake I made and bring it with you through the security checkpoint. The lead material must of set off several alarms when I passed through at the airport. It might be better to keep the wallet in your carry-on or checked luggage until you get through the security checkpoint.

Agree with other reviews about size but, keep in mind that to protect your passport the wallet has to be, well, larger than your passport. From that perspective, it fully delivers. I can actually fit two passports in there -- true, making it very bulky! I don't use the coin pocket (makes it too... bulky for my taste) and it fits my credit cards nicely without adding bulkiness to the wallet. The only thing I am not crazy about it that it's hard to fit currency bills in it.

I ended up not using this for my passport. I did not think that it protected it enough from being dog-eared. I used it has a wallet to protect my credit cards. However, it is not long enough for folding money. I did like the change purse, though.

This is very good for protecting passports, passport cards, and other credit cards. The change pocket with zipper is very useful. The paper dollar section could be longer so I would not need to fold my paper in half. This made the paper money bulky in my wallet. Overall, I would recommend this wallet,

After the credit cards were in, it was hard to remove them (to use)--the wallet is stiff and it wouldn't close when the credit cards were in it. It could have used a clasp, magnetic or snap. I returned it and got an aluminum wallet. This only holds credit cards though.

overall good size and configuration.and RFID feature is a comfort.Unfortunately mlne is so full it needs a rubberband, Some other kind of fstener or band would be nice.inprovement for me as the rubberband digs into the leather and leaves ugly marks.

Excellent craftmanship and a great value for money. It has just the right size for a passport and for my driving licence and a good number of pockets for credit cards. Moreover the security of your data is garanteed. All in all I recommend it.

Wallet is too long to carry in hip pocket. It's too short to carry currency unfolded.

Nice idea, and nice wallet. Smaller and more compact than what I usually carry. Found it wouldn't stay closed - defeating its purpose - so used a thick rubber band around it when not in use. Also found that security agents required me to remove all documents (passport or drivers license) from the wallet at check points anyway. Still, seemed to provide appropriate protection at other times.

Wallet works itself into nice soft luxurious feel with use.Noticed one person complains about it being too short & having to fold bills.If carrying this in rear pants pocket it's dangerously too long for SOME pants.Some have pockets so short when you sit down wallet is forced out of your pocket. I've had it returned to me after being found on the floor. Otherwise-great product,Just watch it if it sticks up more than an inch above your rear pocket when all the way in.

I think these wallets are such a wonderful idea I'm giving each of my traveling children and grandchildren one for Christmas. One less worry while abroad. B. Sexton

It is a beautifully crafted wallet. I only have two issues with this wallet; it is not long enough so that the bills lay flat (I have to fold them and that adds more bulk). I would also like more slots for cards (mostly for frequent use/bonus point cards. . . ).
