Folding Noise Cancelling Headphones

They don't cancel 100% of the noise, but do block out noise and are great for listening on the computer or ipod. They are comfortable and have a volume control setting which is convenient.

These were recommended to me by someone who travels constantly. I have only had the opportunity to use them for one trip but I was completely satisfied. I would like to use them more (I will be on a trip next week) and then give another review. Hopefully I would then put them at five stars!

I was really disappointed with the sound quality and the limited noise reduction. The headphones do nicely fold up which is good for traveling but it is clear why the price was attractive as to sound was poor. Magellan was clear that I can return them but I gave them to my wife as she doesn't care about the poor sound but did like the nice travel bag and the fact she could hear the in-flight movie with them.

This folding noise canceling headphone is working very well for me. I use it in the gym and take it with me when I travel. I like it.

They may cancel some outside noise, but everyone around you can hear what you are listening to quite clearly. Most disappointing that these are supposed to be useful for travel.

These were a gift for my husband and he says they are just the best. He loves the noise canceling and was quite surprised how well that works. I thought they would be a little smaller, however they do fold up quite nicely so do not take too much room.

Ok, this really isn't a review of these headphones. I just keep waitng and wishing for some noise cancelling headphones that fit very very flatly to the ears, with a very very soft lining, so that one can lay one's head down and sleep with them on. Maybe an inventor in the biz will see this and come up with them. Fingers crossed!

These were a gift for my husband. His evaluation is that they do a good job keeping outside noise away. They fold up and will be easy to use for travel.

What a great product! The fold up feature is a plus for packing. Very nice tone quality. My husband has an expensive brand and the sound from these is equal. The ear cuffs are comfortable and the volumn control on the cord is convienient. I will enjoy using them on those long flights!

I just used these on an international flight and had never used noise cancelling headphones before. I didn't realize how much noise was on the plane until I took them off. I'll never go without them again. I'm not a music aficionado but they work perfectly as earphones too.

Have not had to chance to use for a long period. Did wear a pair on my walk, and they seem to do well. Will find out how well they work on our first airplane ride.

Love the sound quality on these headphones, but there is so little padding at the top that they hurt my head after wearing them for any length of time. It is very disappointing.

I bought these as a gift for my husband, in preparation for his upcoming trip to Europe. But meanwhile he went ahead and bought the $299 Bose headphones instead. So I decided to keep these for myself. I did a head-to-head comparison with the Bose, switching from one to another while the same song was playing on my iPod. The Bose headphones do have a clearer, "brighter" sound. However, they hurt my head. I have a narrow face, and the Bose headphones came down too far on my head and pressed against my jawbone. Uncomfortable! The Able Planet headphones fit me better and are more comfortable. I also really like that they have a volume adjuster on the cord. Very handy! And the sound quality seems good enough for my purposes, certainly better than basic earbuds. I can't really speak to the noise cancelling properties since I haven't used these on a plane yet. But today I listed to music while riding the light rail train, and they were great. I could still hear some abient sounds, like the train announcements, but the surrounding"buzz" of general noise was diminished and I didn't have to have the iPod volume up so much. And having compared to the Bose, I'd say these are a great value.

My only beef--these got uncomfortable after awhile because I was wearing my reading glasses. I don't think that is unique to this specific product though. Good noise cancellation and great sound quality of music. Folds down compactly.

The folding noise canceling earphones were precisely as described and are just what I needed. I now just them with my laptop and on my riding lawn mower with a small portable radio I purchased earlier from Magellans'.

the first one I received was defective and Magellans' excellent customer service ensured that that my replacement was sent in time for my flight from JFK to SFO. My seat was right next to the engine and it was loud. With my earphones on I was able to cut the noise down significantly - I was even able to doze a bit, which I never do on a plane. Great value for the money.

These work so well, are comfortable for hours at a time, the batteries last for a very long period, and best of all is the in-line volume control.

I'm really surprised how effective they are in cutting background noise. They also aid in hearing other people's voices in a noisy environment.

These are extremely comfortable headphones. It takes a bit to learn how to fold them. They do not cancel all noise, but are a good value. The price is less expensive than the total noise cancelling 'phones and enough noise is eliminated to make them worthwhile.

I hoped to get two uses out of these headphones - quieter flights and good sound for video editing at home. The headphones deliver on both counts. Sound is clear and crisp, great for music as well as other audio, and the noise-cancelling makes long plane trips much more peaceful. My husband bought a pair strictly for the noise-cancelling properties, and has told everyone how much he liked using them to actually sleep on the plane.
