Dual Voltage Mini Curling Iron

Easy to use. Makes conversion to appropriate wattage automatically. Iron can be packaged immediately after using. Takes up little space.

I have mid length hair and I find this little mini curling iron works very well for me. It took a time or two to handle it well as it is much smaller than a normal curling iron. I think it will work out very well for me on a European trip we plan to take later this year.

Just the right size to fit in small corner of suitcase. Barrel is short but works for my short, fine hair. Not sure if that would be true for thicker, long hair. Like the heat proof case and elastic band to hold the wound up cord. I also use it when I am home.

I love love love this little curling iron. It gets hot quickly and with enough heat to curl my thick, heavy hair. It's as good as the 1" commercial curling iron I normally use when not traveling.

I have small hands with arthritis. This curling iron is easy to open and close with a button, not a wide clamp. I can use it one handed because of its light weight, so I never need to use the other hand and risk a burn. It heats quickly and works perfectly, and tucks neatly in small spaces.

Would work for long hair but not for short hair...need one with teeth to keep barrel away from skin when working on short hair

This was not the greatest purchase. I have medium length, thinnish hair and this curling iron really didn't perform very well. it was hard to use the tiny barrel and I don't think it got very hot. I'm not sure I saved much in terms of weight or space by bringing this dinky thing rather than my full-sized curling iron. I might bring it to the office for emergencies.

I purchased this from another online vendor, but thought I would add my review because I have a different opinion from most other reviewers. As many have noted, there is really no room to hold the barrel with your other hand to slide all the way to the end of a section of hair and then start rolling ; I kept ending up with a bit of hair that had gotten weirdly curled or frizzy. But the real downside for me is that this takes a much longer time to do my hair (which is only chin length) compared with using a full-size curling iron because the barrel is so short and the hinge only opens a tiny bit. If you have a wavy style and just want touch-ups this would work, but this doesn't yield sleek curls for my bob style. I'm going to try Magellan's dual-voltage full-size iron. After all, a regular size curling iron is not really going to make or break my luggage space ; I'd rather have a product that does a great job instead of worrying about a few inches in my suitcase.

I purchased this because of the great size and weight and included travel cover to take on a European vacation. Got it home to try it and it got way too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. I have thin and fine color-processed hair, and after leaving a section of hair rolled for more than a few seconds, it was so hot I couldn't touch it... And because of the size and way the iron tip is formed, you cannot grab ahold of it. So I ended up buring several of my fingers (Blisters formed) trying to grab the tip and brushing a finger on the metal. You can only touch the little mini knob, and it was too small for my fingers. So if your hair is thin and fine, you could ruin your hair with this iron and burn your fingers regularly, I wish some other company could make a small size adjustable temperature travel iron that had a decent tip.. They would sell a million!

This mini iron really worked well. It did heat up quickly and curled my hair adequately. I appreciated having the sleeve to store the iron in. I am not disappointed.

Heats up fast, compact, love the heat resistant sleeve

This little curling iron really does heat in 30 seconds and stores away immediately after use in its little heat resistant pouch (no need to wait for it to cool). It's so compact it hardly needs any space in your suitcase. My only suggestion is that is come in a choice of barrel sizes. The 1" diameter is a bit large for my short hair - so a 3/4" or even 1/2" barrel would be a better choice for me.

I recently purchased this mini curling iron for a trip to Italy. With a plug adapter it worked GREAT (dual voltage, so no converter needed). It heats up super-fast, and for my somewhat short hair it is perfect. Normally I "put away" my travel stuffto save for travel only, but this little gem now lives in the bathroom cupboard for (almost) daily use when I'm late for work.

I REALLY like this curlling iron. I have fairly short hair, and the short length is perfect. It's length is short (for packing) and it heats up super-fast! Thanks, Nancy K.

I used the mini curling iron in seven countries on a recent trip and found it worked beautifully! It heated up quickly and curled my shoulder length hair without damaging it. The insulated carrying case was a plus when I had to quickly pack in the morning to move on to the next destination. Very glad I made this purchase.

Great size for travel. The one inch barrel is perfect for my needs. Fits in side pocket of my bag for toiletries. Heat resistant case is convenient when in a rush to pack up and leave. The curling iron heats up very fast, and gets very hot. The only negative is that the plastic tip is also very small and I keep forgetting that it is not the same as the one I normally use. Consequently, I keep grabbing the rod instead of the tip and burn my fingertips. I will have to adjust how I handle this curling iron because it is so short. I will definitely continue to use it.

Bought this for my trip to Alaska....it packed easy and worked great

I used this mini curling iron in France and Spain. Although I was skeptical about the size and power, it actually worked well. It got very hot, very quickly and produced smooth curls. It took me a little longer than usual (because I have a lot of hair!) but it was still better than lugging my full-sized curling iron around Europe. Even though my husband kept teasing me that Barbie wants her curling iron back.

This is the smallest travel curling iron I've seen. It has enabled me to keep my fine hair in order for travel events when I'd like to look a bit less wind-blown. It is hot enough without frying my hair and cools rapidly enough that I can repack it in its carrying case in short order. I can't imagine using it with long, thick hair, but for my fine shorter hair it is a good travel solution.

We were recently in New Zealand & I ended up buying a curling iron there because the one from home didn't work even with the converter. So I bought this little gem for our trip to Italy and it worked perfectly! Even though it's small, I was very pleased with how easy it was to use and how fast it heats up.

This tiny curling iron worked quite well. I used it with my Euro-plug and there were no problems. I'll bring it along whenever I want to travel light.

I ordered the curling iron with the adapter set. Both were put to use on a recent trip to Provence. Like it so much, have been using it at home since our return. Great for freshening between showers. Size, shape of barrel and fast heating time very convenient along with the insulated storage sleeve.

Curling Irons are difficult to travel with for many reasons. This solves all of the problems and works great.

This little curling iron certainly heats up fast and curls as described. But, beware, the end tip is so small to handle you can easily get burned. I'm an experienced curling iron user, yet this one was difficult to handle. It's small, but not exceptionally light weight- I'm not sure I would take it with me again.

Why wait to travel to use this gem? I can style my hair in 5 minutes or less, anywhere. This is definitely a "gotta have it" item. Warms up in 30 seconds, very portable, comes with it's own "its ok to put the curling iron away hot" carry pouch. What's not to love!

I have been looking for travel size curling iron for years. I wanted one that was cord operated....Not battery operated. The product is great. It works better than my full size iron. I love it and can't wait for my 1st trip to use it.

I didn't think something so small could be SO useful. Works GREAT. Dual voltage and included adapters make this a definite "must-have" for travel on either side of the "pond".

It is very compact and I love the fact that it has a built in voltage adapter...do you know how many curling irons I have melted in other countries because I had it on the wrong voltage?! It is very easy to use too! I thought it was a bit expensive...but then that was fine because I don't have to buy another because this one did not melt or malfunction!

Took this to Europe. Right size. Heats well. Was nervous about it's ability to adapt to the voltage, but no problem. However, guard your fingers as it is easy to accidentally touch the hot portion.

The tip end is very small, so it's very easy to burn one's fingers. Other than that it's plenty hot.

I like the speed of heating of this curling iron, but have a lot of trouble using it without burning myself due to its short barrel.

I really appreciate the size of this iron. I have hair just past my shoulder and this is a perfect size. The only concern is that due to the size one has to be a bit more cautious - the iron gets hot.

This is the best product I have ever used to give direction & control to my naturally curly hair. I like it for routine use rather than just for travel. Since it is a recent purchase, I will be anxious to assess its durability.

This handy little curler heats fast and gives smooth curls. No bent ends, I was pleasantly surprised that a curling iron this small could perform so nicely.

This natty little curling iron heats up nicely, gives a nice curl and is the perfect size for travel. The heat-proof wallet is handy for curling on-the-go, no need to wait for the iron to cool down before packing it. Practice with it a few times before using it on vacation, being short, it takes a bit of getting used to.

I have looked for a mini curling iron for years - and I didn't want one powered by a cell. This is exactly what I was looking for, it's compact size is perfect for touch-ups and travel. I love it!

This curling iron heats quickly and comes with a terrific carrying case. It takes up a fraction of the space of my bulky regular size iron. It gets VERY hot and does a good job curling my hair. I wish the barrel was 3/4" instead of the full inch and the pressure between the barrel and the finger clamp mechanism is a little wimpy. I won't travel without it again. It's super convenient.
