Works, but not always in the bathroom.

This iron is decent quality. If my pro iron at home is a 8-9 this iron is a solid 6. Definitely does the job. However, most of the hotel bathrooms in Finland, Sweden and Denmark have converters for 110V appliances (and no "regular" plug) so it was useless in most of the bathrooms. Even the baths with the 220V converter didn't like this flat iron (it wouldn't get hot). The plugs in the room without converters worked perfectly. The problem is that I was travelling with a roommate and waking her up at 5:30am to do my hair next to her bed was unfeasible.

Compact and lightweight but don't let that fool you....this flat iron works great! Used this flat iron in Cuba last month with the European adapter as advised by Magellan's representative . Iron works very well, heats quickly and maintains heat. Works as well if not better than the professional iron I use at home. Highly recommend this item for travel......or home!!
