Off to Africa

I bought this to use as a day-pack on safari. In preparation for the Africa trip, I tried it out by using it for two trips within the US. I love it, and was amazed at how much it would hold. It's light-weight (the lightest one I could find anywhere) and roomy enough to carry camera, water, a light jacket, suntan lotion, etc during the day. Actually, the first one I purchased was in red so I've reordered one in taupe for the safari.

Favorite backpack

This is probably my favorite item at Magellan's, and I have almost everything! I love it because it is light as air while very roomy. It's definitely my go-to for trips, but I've started using it as my briefcase because it holds my IPAD, keyboard, files, wallet, pens, camera, and other essentials. Unlike my briefcase, it has a pocket for a water bottle, which is a must. It's light enough to use instead of a purse. I just wish it had an inside pocket for more security.

I bought this for travel to carry binoculars, camera, etc. but I use it regularly as a gym bag, a carry-all for music festivals and other outdoor events. Lightweight and convenient.

Great bag - needs a bit of security

This looks like an almost perfect bag for day trips, however it needs a security feature like a pocket between the back of the bag and the wear for money or passport or have the illustrated passport pocket be of slash proof material with a zipper lock. Having your valuables on your back is an invitation for thieves.

Jack of all bags

I used this as my purse on a two week trip to Alaska and again on a four-day trip to a lake in Wisconsin. It was adequate for both trips. When I returned home, I noticed spots on it so I pre-spotted and threw it in the washer and then hung it up to dry. It came out perfectly. It is lightweight and durable. If I were to wish for something added, it would be to have a zippered pocket on the inside.
