These tags are very nice on the aluminum side and appear to have substantial cables to attach to luggage. The back of the tag, however is plastic and I don't remember reading that in the item description.

Only cable worthwhile

The paper for your information slipped out of the aluminum cover WHILE I WAS TAKING IT OUT OF THE PACKAGING. I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering 6 packages of these for myself & other family members. They will all be going back. I'm really disappointed, too, because I thought the bright colors would be helpful at baggage pickup. The wire cable is super, but it can't overcome the other flaws in design.

I am really pleased with these luggage tags; they are very durable and visible and I expect will be nearly indestructible.

Awful!

I didn't like these at all. They are really hard to open, the paper to write on is very thin, there is no clear plastic insert to cover and protect the paper, and the back is plastic. Get the Samsonite aluminum tags instead - much nicer!

Okay, but misleading

The picture and description are not what you get. The actual tag part is plastic with an aluminium cover. The cable is nice and necessary to hold everything together. The paper you actually put your information on falls out. There is nothing to hold it in. I would not recommend these tags. I kept what I bought because they had the cable. I got around the paper falling out, by using a label maker to put the information directly on to the plastic piece.
