Best Travel Purchase Ever
By Carol W., Fremont, CA in August, 2012
Most comfortable item for airline flight ever invented.
Can't imagine being without it
By Susan F., McKinleyville, CA in July, 2012
If the flight is more than three hours I never leave home without mine. I fly to Mongolia- economy class- every year. Over 11 hours each way from SFO to Incheon. I absolutely rely on mine to give me lumbar support, which lets me stretch out just like in the photo. It makes a huge difference in the quality of sleep, or even just rest, that I get. The amount of inflation is easy to adjust. It's not rocket science. Best thirty bucks I've ever spent on a travel product.
Comfort and Support
By Sheila K., Evanston, IL in July, 2012
I bought the 1st Class Sleeper to use when I go to Europe; however I used it for lumbar support on a recent bus trip. When I received it, I blew it up, but I used 30 breaths instead of the 10 recommended. I thought it should be fully inflated. This did not work. I went to the company web site and I watched a video on how to use it. This was extremely helpful. A few breaths- 3 for the lumber pillow and 10 for full support- is all that is needed. One of my concerns was that it would be difficult to inflate. It is quite easy since full inflation is not required. I suggest watching the video if one wants to know how to inflate and properly place the sleeper. The lumber support was very comfortable. I can''t wait to use it when I of to Europe.
Very disappointed

I purchased this air bag for our 24 hour flight to Indonesia with high expectations. It is made of a fairly stiff vinyl that is difficult to maneuver in the tight seating area, takes up a lot of that space ( I am not too large) and makes it more crowded. The vinyl made me too warm and would be better lined with some other material.. On the way there I put it away and was more comfortable on the pillows I managed to get from the attendant. I gave it a 2nd try on the way home. Since no one was sitting in my row I positioned it over the arm and against the window to stretch out. That was a little better. It weighs 1.1 lbs of the 14 lbs allowed by Singapore Airlines for a carry-on, ( They don't often weigh it). t am seriously considering returning it.
Don't waste your $

I bought two of these for a flight from the USA to Europe. Neither my husband nor I could ever get comfortable with the sleeper. We both just deflated it and shoved it in our carry on bag. It was NOT comfortable.
Used for 4 years--fantastic
By Maren H., North Hollywood, CA in April, 2012
I think I bought this about 4 years ago for travel to asia for work, and since then it is on my carry-on list as #1 needed item (next to noise reducing headphones--prevents almost all jet lag symptoms). Yes, some people stare as you breathe into (only 10-11 breaths) to quietly inflate this strange apparatus (I've never seen anyone else with one in approx 6-9 trips overseas X 5 years....) but 8 hours in to an 18 hour flight, they are enviously staring at me sleeping like a good baby on and on and on....no tossing, turning, pinched nerves or "feet falling asleep"-- back cradled in a literal pillow of air in economy seats-- I've flown first class as well and STILL used this great accessory to be more comfortable. I've also purchased 2 inflatable Komfort Kollars from Magellans, and they are WONDERFUL, but always spring a slow air leak eventually and are useless. This item has NEVER failed me in over 4 years of travel sometimes up to 100 days a year. Cant recommend highly enough.

I think it will serve us well. I will need 2 more for my friends
It works!
By Connie W., Huntington Woods, MI in January, 2012
This great item is exactly as described. Love it! Two things to be aware of, though: 1) Don't over-inflate it and 2) It's not for very tall people. My husband is 6 ft. and it pushes his body forward so that he can't fit his legs under the seat in front of him. For the rest of us who are stuck in "steerage," it's perfect!
A product that delivers as promised !
By Ann P., El Sobrante, CA in July, 2011
I just took the 1st class sleeper on an international trip. The night before departure, I stayed up all night to pack. I suffer from back pain near my SI joint (pelvic area) and being vertical for so long really caused my back pain to flare up. I thought I would be miserable for the entire flight. When the flight took off, I put on a ThermaCare lower back heat wrap and inflated the sleeper. Whether sleeping or awake, I kept them both for the first leg of my flight which was about 12 hours. When we landed at the first destination, I could not believe I had NO BACK PAIN!! This is without medication of any kind! I've done the heat wrap before, but it never fully rid me of my pain. Therefore, I truly believe it is the sleeper that really helped my situation. On the return flight, I didn't have back pain to start but used the sleeper the whole way. By the time I landed 17 hours later, again I did not have any back pain. On both flights I also did not have any of the usual neck pain associated with sleeping on flights and using the traditional travel pillows. In fact, I never used the travel pillow I brought along. I showed my chiropractor the sleeper and he was amazed at how well it kept the spine in proper alignment. I'm going to return the neck pillows I bought and never used and purchase another sleeper for my husband instead. One note of advice is to inflate it at home first to ensure no leaks - mine was fine. Also, check out the video on proper inflation/usage on the 1st class sleeper's website.
Long flights are so comfortable now!
By Jeri B., Cary, NC in April, 2011
We went to Japan recently, which is a 13 hour flight. We were unable to upgrade to business class and were really concerned that we would be uncomfortable. Tried these on a trial flight to Vegas, and actually slept, so knew we had a winner. The flight to Japan was great. Our sleepers were so comfortable with only a few puffs of breath, less than 10, that we dozed comfortably the entire trip. Highly, highly, recommend! Very good price for so much comfort. Packs easily.
Slept all the way to Australia
By Fleng E., Salt Lake City, UT in February, 2011
Like the pillow very much. Adjustable inflation. Compact so easy to pack. Easy to inflate and deflate. Great head support. And back support. And with part-way inflation, it is pliable so you can bend it into the perfect position for support. Really helped to have a restful and comfortable flight.
Comfort plus

I love the first class sleeper. I travel back and forth to NZ frequently and this makes economy class feel almost as good as business. I highly recommend this product.
Incredible!
By Helen S., FL in January, 2011
We bought these thinking they might, be helpful on our flight overseas. We tested them on a 7 hour car trip and the ride for the passenger was so comfortable they induced relaxation and sleep. My husband who never falls asleep in the car was riding as the passenger with the sleeper and was snoring! We used them on our 8 hour flight and they were just as good as in the car. You feel like you are in your bed and you are cradled relieving pressure points and very comfortable. Well worth the money!
Makes sleeping so much easier
By l f., GA in September, 2010
I love this thing. It not only cradles your head so that it stays upright when you sleep. It also makes it so much easier for your back to get proper support. Sure I feel a bit self-conscious when I use it, but for the overseas flights it is so worth it.
Great sleeper for small to medium size people
By Anonymous M., TX in August, 2010
I used to have difficulty in sleeping during my trips but this sleeper helped me to sleep and sit comfortably during my long international flights. It worked well for me (S) and my son (L) but my husband (XL) said that although it was good it seemed a little small. He was able to use it though by deflating the sleep a bit. Also the size limitation may be due to the seat size limitations in economy as the size of the item is a bit large.
I really wanted this to work...
By Carrie M., Orange, CA in August, 2010
...but it was not very comfortable. I woke with a back ache -- my down travel pillow works a lot better. I also did not like the plastic cover -- doesn't breathe. Fortunately, Magellan took it back without a quibble, so try it. It might work for you.
almost perfect travel clock
By Dan M., TX in July, 2010
First Class Sleepers are great--used it before which is why I ordered them. However, as I was enthusiastically setting my travel clock and sharing w my high school son how clever it was (we are in Texas currently), my son said, "cool, but what if you aren't in any of these cities?--You need a blank spot so you can have the local time as well." I thought, "yeah, that would make it perfect."
Reconsider the sleeper
By Anonymous, Hamilton, OH in July, 2010
The 1st Class Sleeper is not comfortable and not worth the money. A neck pillow and a lumbar pillow are better than this unit.
